Don't Let the Bed Dog Bite

Short little legs running all around
running as fast as can a little hound.
Jumping and licking and prancing...
a fine little dog's way of dancing!
This little dog on the bed for the night...
Just don't let the bed dog bite!

The brown little dog with the name of Boomer.
His only real job is to love and humor!
This little dog is friendly and loving;
with that little tail as always moving!
The tail stops when he's hidden from sight.
Just don't let the bed dog bite!

Up on the bed he jumps with glee.
This little dog knows where to pee.
Down he goes back to the floor...
and wags his tale in front of the door.
This time Boomer will get it right...
Just don't let the bed dog bite!

Peeing all through, back he comes.
He must of pooped,  I smell the fumes!
Heading back to the bed all happy and frisky.
Letting him up seems so risky!
Did he wipe as wipe he might?
Just don't let the bed dog bite!

Time to wipe that small dog's rear.
Hope it's not too dirty... this I fear!
Doggy won't stand still, but runs around...
such a happy cheerful little dachshund!
Boomer now clean ran out of sight...
Just don't let the bed dog bite!

Back he comes from where's he's been.
Running from the bedroom to the den.
Stopping for a short time to lick his chops.
Right before onto the bed he hops!
As thunder struck he shuddered in fright!
Just don't let the bed dog bite!

Little Emma laughs really hard.
This little dog is such a retard!
He grabs the blanket and pulls and pulls;
pulling hard as a couple of bulls!
The covers tear as he pulls with might.
Just don't let the bed dog bite!

All tired now and ready to sleep!
Resting now without a peep.
Dreaming dreams doggies do.
Listening silently for the cats mew.
Alert now and ready to fight.
Just don't let the bed dog bite!

The cat's up now and hissing some.
Interrupting for now this doggy poem!
This cat's ready to go a round...
she's ready to fight this little brown hound!
Looks now there'll be a fight.
Just don't let the bed dog bite!

They love each other me really thinks.
Cats and dogs doing animal high jinx!
The fight ends with a bow wow and a purr...
now they lay with each, fur against fur.
Dog and cat asleep, off with the light...
I guess the bed dog won't really bite!
