Resurrection of the OT Saints: Difficult Verse 6

Difficult Verse #6
Resurrection of the Old Testament Saints
Matthew 27:52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
Matthew 27:53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
Ask any Jew where the patriarchs of the Old Testament are buried and they cannot produce the bones. It is because when Christ rose from the dead there was a resurrection of all OT believers. These were seen walking the streets and when Christ ascended into the Heavens, He took them with Him. He has spent 3 days preaching to them, and then He led the captivity captive out of Paradise (in the center of the earth) and translated them into Glory.
Ephesians 4:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
Ephesians 4:9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
Ephesians 4:10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things)

  1. This is commentary by Pastor Stogsdill. I'm glad to see this because most preachers neglect these passages. I devoted an entire chapter on this subject in my book, The Skull of Adam, coming out this month. It is fictional conversations about this divine event.
