BOMBED BY F-BOMBS

You may not be a Puritan but can be offended anyway. People welcome sin into their homes without even giving it a second thought.

A move was made in 1939, “Gone With the Wind,” and among its accolades was for the “bravery” of one sentence, “Scarlet, I don’t give a damn.” That one sentence became the focal point of the show, and it opened the door to broadcast about anything.  Gone with the wind was as much about was as much about moral standards in entertainment as it was the Confederacy.

Now, damnation is considered tame. Not giving a damn is apathy, Now, people really don’t give a damn about what they see and hear in the media.

Once Christians would rationalize their movie habits by saying, “It was just one cuss (sic) word.” Then came two, three, and so forth, to now, hearing many f-words in just one sentence is still tolerable. You become slowly entangled with the Wicked One and fail to even know it, as the following reveals: 

Every man is tempted when he is drawn away of his own lust and enticed. Then when lust is conceived , it brings forth sin; and sin , when it is finished , brings forth death. (Jas 4:14-15) 

Remembering that men (and women) are no longer “God’s children” but “sons of the Beast” (John 8:44), we can be trained as beasts are trained to do the will of their masters.
James, when he wrote that, was well ahead of any behaviorist. James did not experiment but knew the truth because he knew animal behavior.

Pavlov experimented with the idea of “classical conditioning.”

“Classical” therein implies conformance given certain stimuli. In Pavlov’s experiment, he was essentially making a dog perform to natural stimuli. Canines are expected to like meat. Meat is their temptation.

Cats will even respond to the squeaky sound of a can opener because they have been rewarded with meat so often that the sound means that a reward is forthcoming.

Pavlov associated the ringing of a bell with the reward. At first when the dog thought of meat, it would salivate when a bell rang. Before long, it was conditioned so that only the sound of the bell would produce salivation without the reward of meat.

Men are as beasts. The Pavlovian “meat” was the temptation mentioned by James. In so many instances, women are the “meat” for men, and men the “meat” for women. As carnivores, meat is the temptation of the flesh, to wit: 

For all that is in the; the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of this world. (1 John 4:2) 

The world is the provider of lust for lust can be after anything. Lust of the world implies that our desires are genetic. Satan does not make us do anything any more than Pavlov made the dog respond to his stimuli. Lucifer conditions people just as Pavlov conditioned the dog.

For mankind, there are various stimuli: gluttony, intoxicants, sexuality, and even to be esteemed. Many of those same lusts are in the animal kingdom; we indeed are much like the beasts, but more inventive and intellectual. We can reason beyond all the other animals.

They just do as nature calls, but mankind excuses their own behaviors in various ways. Christians might say. “The Devil got into me” and the atheist that “There is no God, so hence no moral authority to either reward of punish. Mankind rationalizes their behaviors as if they cannot help themselves. Some unknown, unseen being is ringing the bell, and it is for them whom the bell tolls, just as with the bell of Pavlov’s experiment.

We are participants in the “Luciferin Experiment.” The “meat” is the flesh of the opposite sex, and for some, the same sex. Yes, we are all born this way. That way is “original sin” which is in the genome of every human being, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Rom 3:23). With that said, none are “sons of God” and are not of His Glorious, divine nature. We are all beasts to some degree; we are depraved, but not totally so. Satan makes us feel tame, but like any dog, turn your head and the meat be gone without even waiting for the bell of permission.

Pavlov’s Experiment is rudimentary. Lucifer’s is more sophisticated. Carnality of any sort is the “meat’ of Satan. You are like dogs that crave meat; and meat you must have. For too many of us, the “meat” is our carnal nature for great and plenty of foods, drinks, brain numbing substances to lower inhibitions, and the flesh of others.

The basic instinct of us creatures is for sex. Most of us have appetites for both meat and sexual activity and the thoughts of fresh meat are stimuli.

Great thinkers have come up with a bell to toll for us. It seems that the f-word is the bell that tolls. What does the f-word induce? Thoughts of having sexual intercourse. Even when the sexual intercourse is not forthcoming, the expected classical outcome is for us to think about the sex without ever getting the sex.

The problem with the f-word in all the social media, is that it makes us “dogs. Ring the bell too often with no meat in hand also conditions the dog. They are not stupid; they will not salivate unless occasionally, at least, there is some reward.

The bell no longer satisfies them. The f-word is used so often that it now is just an irritant that insults the smartest of the kingdom. Only for the dimwit wieners is the f-word still important when the bell tolls.

As time nears the end with age, the f-word, rather provoking thoughts of sexuality, are just insulting. A slew of f-words in a movie merely displays the lack of literary talent that should insult the hearer for such a waste of time. Filty lucre is not entertainment but a measure of the depravity of those who write it. 

There are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers. Especially, among the uncircumcised whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not. (Tit 1:10) 

“Unruly” is without standards of common decency. It is with disrespect for those who might be offended. Little children must not hear things that they don’t need to hear, and neither do folks who must filter out the “smoke” of filthy language to even worship God.

When working around filthy talkers, my prayer to God is to first take the filthy words from my mind.

Vain talkers are those who just jabber to get attention. The f-word is merely for that purpose. Running mouths do not care who they offend, or even subvert, so long as they are noticed.

Filthy talk is vanity and a feeble attempt to say, “Look at me; I am here!” Those with dramatic talent are often excused for their filthy language just because of who they are, but who are they? Purveyors of filth to subvert innocent minds. They are apathetic, caring not whether they impale your private space with their filthy verbal darts to poison minds.

As purveyors for Christ, neither should Christians engage in filthy communication; “Feed the flock of God, which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind” (1 Pet 5:2).

“Lucre” simply means for gain. What is gained for filthy talk? For entertainers, money. They do not care who they offend to weasel-word money from the pockets of apathetic listeners. They as much pick the pockets of those who pay to see and hear such debauchery.

The entertainment industry is simple minded; if one f-word gets them a PG-13, more f-words will get them an “R” rating. The R-rating optimizes their monetary gain for some go expecting sex and get verbal filth instead.

Recall Pavlov’s dog? When the bell rang in the beginning, food came. Soon, saliva came with just the sound of the bell, albeit doggy received no meat. Dogs are smarter than humans; fool them too often, and dogs cease salivating. On the other hand, ring the f-word often and humans continue to expect real flesh. Humans never cease to amaze me; they become conditioned so well that they respond to stimuli with no reward ever forthcoming.

Lucre is for gain in general. Filth in movies, and other media, gain audiences and numbers make for actors a name for themselves. They use a series of f-words like shooting bullets from a gun to awe the audience. Yes, the Wicked One shoots fiery darts and among them are verbal assaults from the tongues of devils (Ephes 6:16). Indeed, verbal “bullets” of filth do assault God’s people, and should people in general, but f-bombs soon numb people and they become apathetic so much they never consider the numbing of their minds.

What do f-bombs really reveal? That the writers have limited vocabularies and the f-words reveal their lack of talent. Shakespeare shaped minds by word-smithing, whereas modern writers shape minds by throwing bull s__t (BS) to make stink-bombs like hockey pucks. Yes, even the s-word is a fiery dart that sticks on the minds like mud of those who hear it.

Filth in entertainment is insulting, both the people, and to God. It shows where the minds of the entertainers are and begs audiences to wallow in their filth like the swine they are!

One lady asked me, “Why do they make so many R-rated movies?” I responded, “Because those who go to them vote for them.” Ticket buyers support the lucre of filth.  By paying to see their movies, and such, the audience votes for more. It is a deceptive way, not only to get into your pockets, but into your malleable minds as well.

One f-word just a few year years back would have offended 90% of polite society; now a torrent of f-bombs fails to stun even Christians. Many of you have been captured by the enemy and fail to understand that you have become a friend of the enemy — the Wicked One. The whole world now seems to have the Stockholm Syndrome as Satan captures the minds of the innocents, and soon they become friends of the enemies. 

Most of the world has been captured by Satan and his demons that get into the minds of the people through the subliminal slime they shovel into your minds.

It is just one f-word was the refrain just a few years back. Now, it has grown like a mental erection. Even Christians think, if not say, “It just one act of copulation.”

Animals get little out of watching other animals copulating, but Christians now pay to see the filth that their forebears would not even dream about!

Many have been captured; you may be in Satan’s prison. Sure, you can walk around freely, but your minds are in a virtual prison.

How to escape? The bars cannot be broken because they are invisible. You can “know the truth, and the truth will make you free” (John 8:32). Can you not see that you are captured and prisoners to filth.?  How much more can you take without seeking relief from the bowels of Hollywood? You are almost covered in their filth, but so long as you can breathe and see, like a hog, you are satisfied to wallow in it until the Devil comes for the slaughter.

Do you really feel safe in Satan’s space? Too many do!

I was in a way, “captured” by my Christian friends who drove me to see the movie “American Sniper.” I thought it would be a patriotic movie with some violence to earn the R-rating. Indeed, there was much machine-gun fire, but the f-bombs exploded with the frequency of the real bombs. Because I had gone there with them, I was captured. So, I stuffed my fingers in my ears and covered my eyes with my hat. I was astounded, not by the f-words, but that my friends “loved’ the movie. Satan had done it again; using good to purvey his filth.

Most people use the Facebook^® app, as I do myself. You all have seen the short reels that entice you to click to look further. Sometimes I also click because of curiosity. Oftentimes the reels show beautiful girls with perhaps the wind tugging at their skirts. Click and you see nothing more, but you have been captured. Most of us have done that.

Both you and I have been Pavlovian “dogs” on occasions. Those reels are to induce you to seek more pleasure, and many are too stupid to see that pleasure will not be forthcoming, even if you click a thousand times. You never get the “flesh” but click and click anyway. You become imprisoned by operant conditioning. You do get a little flesh but flesh that is merely digital and as fast as a snapshot. You are being controlled but Jesus can make you free!

“The Spirit is willing but indeed the flesh is weak” (Mat 26:41. The flesh is weak to the lure of temptation, but in a sense, it can be stronger that the Spirit in you. Allow too much of Satan in you, then God knows your true master. He will never leave you, but many of those with Stockholm Syndrome voluntarily stay with their captor as somehow they are slowly changed within.

F-bombs do not offend the depraved, but gradually, by one bomb after another, they can get into you.

Satan cannot get into your souls, but he can get into your minds. Once the mind goes with him, the soul may soon follow, or at least falter.
