MORE ABOUT THE ORIGIN OF MAN

In an earlier commentary, I wrote about creeping things which creep (“On the Origin of Man;” Oct 18. 2025). Although, it is generally thought that creeping things were crawling things, that may not be the case.

In that commentary, I explained the difference between the Hebrew words remes and remas for the noun and the verb for those creeping things. Remes (הָרֶמֶשׂ) and remas (הָרֹמֵשׂ) differ only by the nikkudot above the letter resh in the word remas. That dot has great significance according to esoteric thinkers:

Seeds of potential: The dot, representing a point or a seed, can symbolize a point of origin or the potential for something new. In the case of the resh, it hints at the potential for rebirth and elevation from a state of spiritual poverty. (AI Overview answer to the question, “Is there an esoteric meaning of the dot above the resh?)

Hence, the dot might change the creeping thing to a higher state than before. The psalmist wrote the following about man and Jesus — “The Son of Man” as He is called here:

What is man, that You are mindful of him? and the son of man, that You visit Him? for you have made him a little lower than the angels and have crowned him with glory and honor. You made him to have dominion over the works of your hands; You have put all things under his feet… (Psalm 8:4-6)

It is known that the “Son of Man” is Jesus from Paul’s writing to the Hebrews:

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor; that He by the grace of God should taste death for every man. (Heb 2:9)

Jesus was not born glorified; He had the flesh of Mary, hence the genealogies. He assumed flesh like ours to demonstrate that He could die for woman’s kind, Eve.

Jesus did not obtain glorified flesh until he was crowned “The Son of God” on the cross, then Jesus was glorified (John 7:39) as He was resurrected. Yes, the crucifixion was a crowning just like in natural birth which was part of the process for Jesus obtaining new flesh, and even with the same scars.

His old flesh died, and He obtained new incorruptible flesh. Jesus was “born again” a new glorified creature. Like a seed must die to live again, Jesus had to die to live again.

Original Adam and glorified Jesus were of the same substance (1 Cor 15:45), but only before Adam sinned. On the other hand, during the ministry of Jesus He would have been of the same substance as sinful Adam, only without sin. He was then glorified by death and regeneration.

Mankind (mortal man; Hebrew Enos) was made a little lower than the angels. Before, man (Adam) had been the same divine state as angels.

The first use of mortal man was Enos, the son of Seth (Gen 4:26). Cain’s kind was not mortal man but wicked man (1 John 3:12).

Mortality has something to do with the soul. In a sense, Cain was born “dead” (not truly man) because his soul belonged to another master. As such, Cain was a “beast” in the manner of Satan who is referred to as “The Beast.”

What is considered “mankind” throughout The Book of Genesis changes as their states change — their energy levels (virtue from God) diminish.

The state of Adam was like God in that He had dominion over the other creatures; He was part of God since the Hebrew word for “dominion” means “crumbling” (Strong 2006) and comes from the key verse from where remes and remas are presented:

Let us make man in our Image, after our Likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth. (Gen 1:26)

Of course, that is where we picture creeping things wrongly. Like the “Serpent” they were not lizards, snakes, or things like that. How is that known? The pictograph of the letter resh in both remes and remas is the head of a man. The creeping thing may very well be a lower state of man than glorious Adam who at that time had God within his person.

Let me be clear… this subject is not recognized scripture but seriously comes from ancient Hebrew meanings. I am taking the pictographs literally using common means.

Glorious Adam, as scripture suggests would resemble the resurrected Jesus (John 7:39) who was a divine man of a very different substance who could overcome the world at will by disappearing and reappearing as the walk on the road to Emmaus reveals (Luke 24). Imagine Him looking then like He did at the transfiguration (Mat 17).

Before the resurrection, Jesus was at a lower state as both Paul and King David wrote. Jesus was the same man as He went from the state of enos (mortality) to the state of glorious Adam (immortality).

The evidence is that there are states of mankind measured by if and how much of God is in them. It is God who provides life and decides the energy levels from Himself. The divine energy level of Cain would have been little if any as he was of the Wicked One.

What may be missed is the state of the other creature. Paul wrote, “If any man (anthropoid) be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Cor 15:17).

If man can become a “new creature,” it is implied that man was an old creature, does it not? Perhaps the “old creature” was not like Adam (glorious), but more like a creeping thing! Perhaps the “old creature” was more like in the picture forthcoming.

Figure 1: Prehistoric Man

(Worddreams; Wordpress.com)

The latest information is that there were numbers of different states of man. (I use “man” there loosely, because they were not genetically entirely human.)

If the “creeping thing” was a creeping man as the letter resh indicates, then Neanderthral and other sub-humans might be creeping men; and neither would they have souls like Adam because they were of a lesser state in the beginning.

People question how Satan (aka “The Serpent”) got in the perfect Garden of the Lord. Possibly, just as the seed of Adam was planted in the Garden to make a man-Adam (Gen 2:8),  “The Lord God planted a Garden eastward in Eden; and there He put the man whom he had formed…” perhaps that was the way Satan got into the Garden of Eden as well.

Who else, along with Adam, was planted in the Garden? “Creeping things,” perhaps prehistoric men without souls. They were not “living souls” but divinely inert things that were grown in God’s Garden. Without souls, prehistoric men would be like walking dead men who were created mortal and bound to suffer death.

In the Lexicon of God, the reader must understand that “death” to God is without Himself in the souls of his creatures. Born again, is Jesus with Him quickening mortal men to be immortal.

Remembering that I am speculating from the original Hebrew and its order in the Bible, could it be that “The Serpent” was the thing that would go on its belly (Gen 3:24) may not be Lucifer at all, but a creeping thing with Satan within him?

You do the math; did the woman Eve copulate with the low creature and defile the glory of God that was in her? Did she really die as a glorious creature and become more like the old creature that was in the Garden?

Now science may have caught up with the Bible.

Scientists created Enos man as can be seen in the representation below:

Figure 2: Neanderthal DNA linked to higher fertility in modern humans (newscicenitst.com)

If one was Neanderthal and the other glorious, then the offspring might be Cain-like. Of course, God put natural skin over Adam and Eve for them to live in the world, so this might represent genetically improved Eve when God blessed her and Adam with flesh as we know it. (Gen 3:21).

I had also assumed that the woman saw the “Bringer of Light” (Lucifer) but inwardly, it was devious Satan. With this speculation, perhaps not. Perhaps her sin was not uniting with a higher being, but a lower state of man, and died in the sense that her genetics were no longer like God’s. [1] No longer did glorious Adam have dominion, but inglorious Eve — the new kind from whom Enos came.

That explains many things if that is the way it happened. It explains why humans are old creatures until they are born again, and it also explains the ontology of Neanderthal men and the evidence of other lower levels of creatures.

Lower levels of “men” existed before Adam on the same “day” or “age” — men-like creatures without souls, thus usurping what God had made. That seems to be the “original sin” that was genetic. With that said, in places in the Bible we are warned not to have sex with other kinds, for instance, these commandments:

You shall not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. Neither shall you lie with any beast to defile yourself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion. Defile not yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you. (Lev 18:22-24)

That raises some questions: Did the woman lie with beasts and did the male Adam tinker with that male beast, since both sinned? Is that why homosexuality and bestiality is so reprehensible to God? And does original sin, explain the existence of other kinds of “men”?
