WAYS AND THOUGHTS VS. ACTIONS AND WORKS - Part 1

 

  For the last several months, I have written expositorily. Now is the “time” to return to a topic. The subject is the place of “works” regarding eternal life. Does one need to work or not? Of course, Jesus did all the “work” when His face sweated as if blood. Scripture is very clear who worked for our salvation:

⁴³ And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. ⁴⁴ And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. ⁴⁵ And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow… (Luke 22:43-45)

(Jesus) Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins. (Rom 3:23)

  Only Jesus agonized because his brothers would perish, and only Jesus would die so that they might be saved from perishing. No one else had nothing to do with those two things! Just how did Jesus do that work for us?

  An angel strengthened Jesus. Jesus was invigorated by an angel. It was Him who would work and the source of His strength was from God. He was willing to do the Will of His Father in Heaven and His Father provided the strength to do what Jesus had to do to save Adam’s kind!

  Jesus worked by the sweat of His Face. That was Adam’s penalty… “In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread” [i] but Jesus would do all the work.

  Adam had nothing to do with the work of his own salvation. Jesus did it all and paid the wage that Adam owed. Because it was Adam’s sin, we owe what is now called “reparations” to God. But Jesus removed the lien on the souls of mankind by sacrificing His Blood rather than each their own!

  It is not coincidence that scripture refers to sweating for “bread.” Why is that? Because Jesus is the “Bread of Life”…”He that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst” (John 6:35).

  The penalty for sin was hard work, but that would be ineffective and deficient. Only the Body and Blood of Jesus sopped in His Holy Water would suffice.

  The point so far is that it was Jesus on the Cross and perhaps Adam was under it. [1] Adam had no part in his redemption. It was by “grace alone” — sola gratia in the Latin. The gifts to Adam and Eve were what? “The Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them” (Gen 3:21).

  Why coat them? To preserve them from the devices of Satan and to Comfort them in the world until they would be redeemed by the real Lamb of God! Then The Holy Ghost would keep them safe from Satan and Comfort them until Jesus comes with new Flesh for them at their resurrection.

  God gave Adam and Eve a gift. They found grace. They were not looking for it but found it anyway. They found grace because God “so loved the world” that he desired that they not perish.  [ii] “Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden” (Gen 3:8). Even though they hid from God, God found them. He knew where they were. They were ashamed and tried to cover it with ineffective fig leaves. [iii] Because the work of their own hands would not cover their guilt was why God did so for the covering to be both efficient and safe! Chapter three of Genesis is a foreshadowing of the gospel of Jesus. It is the story of grace. Their actions were ergonomically inefficient and unsafe because they were neither out of the way of Satan nor safe from him.

  Likewise, Noah found grace. [iv] Was Noah looking for grace. No. Was he working by the sweat of his face to find grace? Again, no. Just why did Noah receive grace from God? It is what he was not doing! Look at what everyone else was doing: “God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually” (Gen 6:5).

  Noah found grace because he had not theretofore worked but was willing to work for 120 years to preserve his life. It was not what Noah did, but was willing to do, and that was the same with Adam, Eve, and Abraham. Another thing that Noah was not doing was imagining evil things. That was foreign to him. He had the faith of his fathers because they knew God firsthand. [2]

  The key word in this argument is “willing.” Noah did not work for his preservation because God was the one who created the timber and pitch and kept him safe in the turbulent waters. God is the one who ensured that Noah made it to dry ground and to see the Promise in the bow. All that Noah did was considered the Will of God and did what God Willed rather than his own will. God used persuasion for Noah to volunteer. What persuaded Noah? “It repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart” (Gen 6:6). He saw the remorse and agony of God and empathized with his Father.

  God had been disappointed in His creatures. Noah was willing to change God’s opinion of him. By the way, that was the method my own father used to change my attitude. I was never whipped into submission, but my Dad would say, “I am really disappointed in you.” With that said, I would change. Well, that is the same method God uses. He never whips anyone for being who they are but encourages them to change.

  With that nature, Noah found grace. He found it strictly by valuing the Will of God. He did not want to work but did so to please God. It was not his work that pleased God because God could have created the ark in an instant. But Noah was willing to work so that God would preserve him as part of the plan and future that God has for His people. [v]

  Adam and Eve found grace and so did Noah. Then Abraham found grace when he destroyed his father’s, Terah’s, worthless idols. Why did that warrant grace? Because Abraham understood that only the LORD GOD is sovereign. Those idols made by hands could not keep them safe any more than the fig leaves were as rags in preserving Adam and Eve. [vi]

  No type of work can obtain eternal life, but a willingness to observe the sayings of God pleases Him. God, if He is obeyed, does not repent that He made mankind. Hence, “The Ten Commandments” are not commandments at all, but Ten Ways to please God so that He is not sorry for his work of creation. They are more, “Ten Prescriptions for Eternal Health.”

  Scripture refers to those ten attitudes as “sayings” of God. [vii] They are not commandments at all! They are God’s Will for his people. Look at what they say in Exodus chapter 20: (1) honor God, and do no handiwork, (3) do not be vain, (4) remember to rest with no labor, (5) honor parents, (6) do not kill, (7) do not have sexual pleasure, (8) do not steal, (9) do not lie, and (10) do not be jealous.

  Just which of those are works? Seven of those are not to work and the other three are how to think! In other words, The Ten Words (of Jesus) are seven non-works and three thoughts.

  The only thing involved with keeping those prescriptions is the thought process. Noah found grace because he empathized with the agony of God who was sorry that He made them. Christians find grace because they are sorry they agonized and killed their Savior! The point is that Christianity is not about what anyone does, but how they think about God and His Way. And, of course, the “Way” to Life is Jesus!  

  The “Way” to where? To life… eternal life. [viii] Isaiah wrote: “Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord” (Isa 55:7-8).

  God will pardon because of two things: ways and thoughts. “Ways” are the direction that people follow. That comes from the Hebrew word, “derek.” And “thoughts” are machashabah in Hebrew, or “contrivances” (Strong’s Dictionary). Thus, “ways” are attitudinal, and “thoughts” are cognitive. Both are faculties of people. Neither are “works.”

  In other words, Isaiah was saying that the wicked must change their attitudes and the unrighteous his way of thinking. The attitude of the unrighteous is that their own flesh is paramount and that they can obtain eternal life without God.

  About the concept of love — goodwill toward God and others — “On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets” (Mat 22:40). In that context, “commandments” should be transliterated as “precepts” (ibid), or “principles.” Abraham showed that he was willing to obey the Will of God although he would not need to do that work. It was Abraham’s “faith (that) was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness” [ix] Abraham was willing to work!

  Faith, however, is a gift of God: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God” (Ephes 2:8). Now work that out! Use rational arguments and logic: Faith is a gift given by God. Just what would a person do to honor God? Use the gift that God gave them. Noah found another gift — the gift of grace. Grace is receiving an unmerited gift. Then Noah demonstrated with works the gift of faith. He put his faith in action.

  What if Noah had not worked. Then he and mankind would have died. He had the gift, but his reasonable service was to work. Did his work preserve him? No, for God could have done that, but his willingness to work was what kept him safe from the water.

  Perhaps others feared God, and maybe even had faith that God would provide through Noah, but they were not certain, and did not work. It was their attitude of vanity that would be their peril.

  James, the brother of Jesus, explained those things quite well, so well that Martin Luther wanted to discard his writings: “What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? Can faith save him” (Jas 2:14)?

  Faith therein is the “Way” of which Isaiah spoke. Jesus enumerated on that when he brought to memory the Hebrews encounter with the serpents in the wilderness. Even though bitten, those that looked at what Jesus could do would make it through the peril. They would be safe from the vipers. [x]

  It was not their looking at the pole that kept them from harm, but the confidence that God would take care of them even though they could have fought the vipers themselves. It was their thoughts that counted! Those who tried to kill the vipers themselves died. All that work was for naught!

  But what did they do” They walked through the vipers. God could have carried them through, but their confident walk, despite the vipers, was the evidence of their faith. God gave them the faith, and they used it to walk forth and face the perils between them and safety.

  “Works” in James 2:14 and elsewhere is “ergon” in the Greek. “Ergon” means “to work to produce a product” (ibid). The “product” is salvation.

  There is a great distinction between “safety” and “salvation.” “Safety” is living without perishing in this world. “Salvation” is overcoming the world and the Wicked One; to wit: “He that endureth to the end shall be saved” [xi] and John wrote, “I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one” [xii] That was explained soon after: “I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one” (1 John 2:14).

  “Strong” therein does not refer to strong workers but those with fortitude. They are strong because they abide in the Word. They do nothing to outwit Satan, but contrive against him by using the trusted Word of God. It is not what they do to overcome but how they think. Thinking is not doing, and no work is involved.

  Indeed, “ergonomics” is the economy of efficient and safe working. (Merriam- Webster Dictionary). The next commentary will discuss spiritual work and how it is done efficiently and safely.

PARADISE BURNING

  It turns out that the Bible is not a dramatic serial with individual stories, but altogether, “The Greatest Story Ever Told.” With each drama, the “viewer” should remember the previous “episodes” and wonder what “season one” has to do with the events of the day. In this case, what do Abraham and Sarah have in common with Adam and Eve and so on.

  The previous commentary proposed that the land of Canaan is the foundation of the Garden of Eden, and that the Garden had been destroyed, perhaps in the flood. If “overwatered” the Garden would wither and die as gardens will do. Then, by grace, the seed of Canaan, cursed by God, would serve Shem’s seed — Abraham — by “replanting and tending the Garden.”

  If the reader recalls, Adam and his kind were assigned to “dress and keep the Garden.” (Gen 2:15).

   Adami (men) were to do that as their “reasonable service” for the Lord. That is based upon, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service” (Rom 12:1). The sacrifice of all Christians is the corporate “selves.” Adam and his kinds reasonable service was to tend the Garden of Souls that would inhabit it someday. Whatever God asks of His creatures, His will be done; not by coercions, but by their own will.

  Adam and his kind failed that, so after the flood, Canaan was to be the servant. Slavery was the outcome of the curse of Adam; to wit: “Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; in the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return” (Gen 3:18-19) Soon, after the regrown Garden withered with the flood, the curse was repeated… “And He said, “Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren” (Gen 9:25).

  So, Canaan crossed the rivers from East of the Garden and began the restoration of the Garden. They would sweat over thistles and thorns just as God had said about Adam’s kind, and by the time of Abraham, the Garden had been regenerated. Canaanites were the servants whose reasonable service was that. Slavery was begun because of Adam and instituted because of Canaan.

  Just what did Canaan do that was so terrible to cause God to be wrathful? He broke what would become the Fifth Commandment in God’s Will for His kind: “Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee” (Exod 20:12); to honor their “Ab” and “Em” in the Hebrew.

  Ham had “cleaved” unto his wife, who was likely of the Wicked One as was Cain, and ridiculed his father who he should have honored. That comes from the concept of Holy Matrimony, “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh” (Gen 2:24). Ham had become one with his ingrate wife and laughed at the nakedness of his father.

  The penalty would fall on the son of Ham because Canaan was the product of the cleavage. Ham had become much like his wife, and he was of her flesh, and then Canaan was of the Wicked One like his mother. With that said, slavery was born. Why would Shem need to dress and keep the Garden when Canaan could do it as a penalty for his laughter? But soon, Sarai would laugh at God! How could God expose His Flesh? By providing a child of His Flesh in her barren womb!

  That should explain why Canaanites were regenerating the Garden of Eden back on its foundation. By the time Abraham saw it, it was much like the original Garden. There was still a problem therein: The seed of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good was elsewhere, perhaps in the hills of Jerusalem — the very place that Abraham went after looking at the plains of Sodom and Gomorrah.

  What had Abraham seen in Sodom? The evil seed planted from the Tree of Knowledge. It turns out that Abraham questioned God, and saved himself and his family. There was no “good” seed planted in the Garden.

  Of course, all he saw there was like the Garden except for the people in it… just as with Adam and Eve when they were driven out of it! [i] “Driven out” of the Garden is from the Hebrew “garas,” which verb can also be “divorced” as God told Abraham to do with his “wife” (adulteress) Hagar. [ii]

  The question remains, Whatever happened to the Garden of Eden? Was it the flood or did God vaporize it when Adam and Eve were driven out? Or was it much later?

   If Sodom and Gomorrah were part of the Garden of Eden, then Abraham, Lot, and their families were not driven out of those cities but saved from them! Perhaps, Adam and Eve were saved from the destruction of the Garden back in their day.

  Look at the deliverance of only two from the Garden:  God, “placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life” (Gen 3:24). The cherubim had flaming swords. Just how were they to keep the Way to the Tree of Life?

  Well, God kept the Way to the Tree of Life by flooding the entire world. He kept it by destroying what He had made. He also destroyed the Garden that was in the world. Did God destroy the Garden by fire when Adam and Eve were cast out? That makes sense, because it was not mentioned again until Lot lifted-up his eyes toward Sodom and Gomorrah and saw the Garden! [iii]

  Canaanites served Shem by rebuilding the Garden of Eden for them, right there off the coast of the Sea of Eden that remains there to this day… and by the River of the Garden (Jordan River) which still gives life to the Garden!

  With the Garden overcome by evil and full of human “tares” that were so inhumane, God drove Abaraham, Lot, and their families out of the outskirts of the Garden before the cherubim torched it with their “flaming swords.” Today, that part of the Garden is the Dead Sea and the desert around it. It is where Satan abode until Judas was born in Iscariot right there in the outskirts of the burned Garden. And without a “tree” it can be added.

  Now read what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah and apply it to God’s Garden in the beginning:

¹⁵ And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, “Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city…” ²⁵ And He overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground. ²⁶ But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt. ²⁷ And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the Lord: ²⁸ And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace. (Gen 19:15, 25-28)

  God overthrew the cities and all the plain around them. That would be the entire area around the Dead Sea including the birthplace of Judas.

  Canaan had left his seed in the dust there until God would raise the skeleton of some evil creature from and make him a dying creature named “Judas.”

  Did God torch those cities? It stands to reason that God used destroying angels as He always has done before when He perished mankind. Can you not see it? Cherubim with flaming swords torching the Garden as they may have done so long ago!

  “Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven” (Gen 19:24). God “poured down” fire on the plain. Fire represents the Holy Ghost. [iv] Jesus led the charge before He was Flesh. Cherubim would be with Him! The “rain” was the fiery swords of cherubim just as scripture says. They were guarding the Way to the Tree of Life by torching the Way that Abraham was taking to it!

  The road that Abraham took was divided. He took the road less chosen! His road was the Way to the Cross. The way of Lot was to torment. Choose ways wisely. The most beautiful May be the road to perdition. Lot’s wife looked back. She was warned. Now she is just a pillar of salt whereas Abraham is the foundation of the Church that God built per this: “Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; and are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; in whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord” (Ephes 2:19-21)

EYE ON THE PRIZE

   Many are in search of the Holy Grail, but it remains undiscovered because the vessel of Jesus is the “Grail” that held the true Wine. Many have also searched for the Garden of Eden but to no avail!

  Just where is the Holy Grail? It is inside Christians who have drank the blood of Jesus.

  Just where is Paradise? It is where the “Holy Grail” resides. It is from where Christians “drink.”

  Does it matter where Paradise is? I think so, because God showed Abraham Paradise, and then gave it to him and his seed. That would be Christians! Many who shall inherit, go to see their inheritance.God took Abraham to Paradise to see the gift that He would grant and deed to him.

  It mattered to God that Abraham glimpse Paradise before it was destroyed, and know where it is and what it was. Abraham got a preview of Paradise before it was taken away to heaven. If it matters to God what I am to inherit, I care! Now for a little peek of Paradise so that you can see the “prize” as if it is in hand. [i]

  Whatever happened to the Garden? In scripture, it was there, then poof, after the flood, the Garden of Eden seemed to have gone away. Throughout the New Testament, when the righteous died, they arose. The best example is Jesus Himself. He was “carried up to heaven.” [ii]

  But also, when Jesus died, “The graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, and came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many” (Mat 27:52).

  The dead arose from the ground and were alive again. Then they were resurrected with Jesus. Surely, Adam arose from grace beneath Calvary and when Jesus arose to the heaven, Adam arose with Him. That day not only did the thief be carrid with Jesus to Paradise, but perhaps Adam, John the Baptist, and many of the patriarchs of old arose with Jesus!

  Jesus was carried up to Heaven. Who carried Him? Jacob was given a clue it seems: “And (Jacob) dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it” (Gen 28:12). Angels, perhaps, carried Jesus up to Heaven.

  Who carried those who had been in the grave? Perhaps the same angels carried them up the same “ladder” that Jacob saw. The Holy Cross was most assuredly Jacob’s ladder and the stairway to heaven!

  The “ladder” is mobile. It is always where Jesus is! Jesus was with Jacob in Bethel, and He was with mankind in Calvary. If anyone is a Christian, Christ is in them, and the ladder to heaven is right there!

  The proposal is that God works wonders in two stages. The first stage is to raise the dead from the grave to the surface of the Earth, and stage two is from the earth to the heaven.

  Death ushers in stage one. Examine the evidence: “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (1 Thes 4:16-17). Those in the grave will arise first, they will gather on the face of the Earth then those alive will be caught up with them. Stage two is rising to heaven.

  Now examine the Garden of Eden. It is no longer on the face of the Earth. It is likely that the Garden was buried in the deluge of Noah’s time because afterward, Eden was passed through by various patriarchs with no mention of the Garden. The Garden died! Only its “foundation remained.” Jerusalem means “the foundation of peace,” and the Jordan River is in Hebrew, Naral Ha Yarden— “the River of the Garden.”

  But where is the Garden? It is perhaps buried under the layers of history in Israel. Not just Israel as it is known today, but Israel, the Kingdom of David.

  Lot and Abraham arrived from Egypt with great wealth and found themselves in what would become the Kingdom of David. Now consider scripture again:

¹⁰ And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar. ¹¹ Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other. ¹² Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom. ¹³ But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly. (Gen 13:10-13)

  Abraham and Lot found Paradise. “Jesus” met them there in His Kingdom. He was called at that time, “Melchizedek,” King of Peace. He was without father or mother. He had been there all the time since the flood.

  Look at those passages. Lot looked and saw several things: (1) The River of the Garden, (2) that the great cities were even as the Garden of the Lord, and (3) like Goshen in the land of Egypt, whose  westward boundary was the Nile, was the Promised Land.

  There is one problem with the English translation. “Even as” is not in the original Hebrew. Lot saw the Garden of the Lord, not just a plain that resembled it. The southern part of the Garden of Eden had laid buried. Melchizedek had begun to prepare the Garden for the arrival of Abraham and his seed. God would again plant his seed in the fertile earth and multiply living souls. Abraham brought “souls” with him from Haran to plant there! [iii]

  However, there was a problem; tares were growing in the Garden! It was full of weeds and required weeding.

  Note that Canaanites dwelt in that land. They were as much as squatters in the Garden of Eden, and that land was full of weeds. Melchizedek was there as “King” to govern the weeding out, and Canaanites were the perfect servants assigned to the job!

  Abraham was the seed of Shem. Those seeds from Haran were likely Japhethites. After the flood, God made a promise, “God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant” (Gen 9:27).

  After the flood, earth covered the Garden of Eden. It remained buried until God sent His Son and His servants, the Canaanites, to resurrect the Garden of Eden. Abraham saw stage one!

  Where would that Garden be? Not in Ur, but where else? Off the Sea of Eden below the River of the Garden. Lot and Abraham had found the Garden and found grace there as Noah had found grace. The Name, “Grace” in both instances is God manifested, or preincarnate “Jesus.”

  The Garden had, had two people. Now there were many. Great cities had been built to house the great population. The canopy of the Garden of Eden had been replaced by tents and even great buildings. Cities had emerged. God had again prepared a place for His people.

  In like manner, since the cities of the Garden have perished, God has rebuilt Paradise again; to wit: “In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also” (John 14:2-3).

  It can be hypothesized that God raised Paradise from the flood, and Canaanites were the servants that rebuilt Paradise right there on the River of the Garden in the Garden! John saw the finished product:

¹ And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. ² In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. ³ And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him… (Rev 22:1-3)

  Finished product? Certainly! The Canaanites, even under Melchizedek, built shoddy cities. They were very much more brothels than peaceful canopies. Those cities were built by sinful human hands and did not have the “boiler plate” so to speak. God founded Paradise with His own Hand (Jesus), but this time God used the dirty hands of Canaan. Canaan had planed his accursed seed in the earth in Paradise. Something would need to change!

  Abraham and Lot were sent to Sodom and Gomorrah to plant the seed of Abraham. Rather than obey God’s Plan, Lot went there to plant his own kind of seed. He was not part of the promise that God planned. It turned out the same way again!

  If you remember, Lucifer planted his seed in the Garden of Eden in the womb of Eve. Cain was “of the wicked One.” [iv] Then after the flood, Ham planted his seed in his wife, from the seed of Cain, and Canaan was born. Mutated beings were sown in the Garden of Eden. They were mostly of the Wicked One who had both the DNA of Adam though Eve and Lucifer.

  God planted His seed in barren Sarah and both the seed of God and Abraham would repopulate the Garden. “Tares” and grow in the Garden again as before. And because of that, the ground would need “plowed!”

  With that said, God supplied two angels to cleanse the soil in those cities. [v] All the while, Abram and Sarai, him acting as husbandman and her the vine, sowed their own seeds. Sarai had no place to grow the vine, so she chose Hagar. Ishmael was added to the “tares” that already defiled Paradise!  Just like Adam and Noah before, Ishmael became a husbandman and sowed tares instead of good seed.

  Then along came God and provided a Plan for Abram. He renamed him, “Abraham” and made his seed “good” if sewn in His “ground.” The barren womb of Sarah was the right and good ground! They too found grace just as Adam and Noah long before.

  Here was their chance; the bad seed of Canaan would see the opportunity to defile their seed again. Their intent was to plant more “tares” in Sodom and Gomorrah.

  God’s angels in heaven neither marry nor are given in marriage. [vi] So here come two angels to Paradise, heaven on Earth before it was defiled. They would not be able to “couple” (marry) with anyone, but Canaanites desired to plant their seed in the male angels. That would defile God and further mutate Adam’s kind.

  Adam was reprieved by grace. However, because of that, Satan also desired to get under his and Eve’s skin that was provided by God to jab their flesh. He wants the flesh of Adam and Eve, not the Flesh from the Lamb of God! Satan always wants to penetrate righteous flesh beneath the protection of God, just as with Job and many others. So, here he goes again!

  The males of Canaan’s kind desired to penetrate the Angels that God had sent whether they be males or females. They preferred to disgust God by having carnal knowledge with God’s male creatures. If they were successful, but they could never be, then again, supernatural and natural seed would diminish God’s creatures. They did not care that they could not, but the pleasure of it all would diminish God. Homosexuality is an abomination (disgusting) to God. [vii]

  When we were children, Dad and us children would burn off the previous crop that had died out, then plant good seed. Burnt ground is called “new ground.”

  Because Canaanites sought to plant mutated seed in Paradise, God just burned Paradise to the ground. It remains dead to this day! It is beneath Jerusalem and all the cities of Israel, and the edge of the Garden is the Dead Sea and the desert surrounding it. That is where Satan “planted” Judas who would be his son. Iscariot is populated by the “sea people,” the Palestinians; not from the Mediterranean Sea but from the Dead Sea!

  God created New Ground on which to build rebuild Paradise.

  Now back to the two steps as previously discussed: First, God raised Paradise from the ground and placed it back where it had been on Earth, on the same foundation. Then, God rebuilt it again in Heaven. The fire that burned Sodom and Gomorrah was the consuming fire of God. [viii] The “fire” that perished Sodom and Gomorrah was the Holy Spirit of God. [ix]

  The Fire of God, when it consumed those sinful cities, carried Paradise to the Third Heaven. There it remains and has been rebuilt on “new ground.” Sodom, the harlot, is now gone, and New Jerusalem has replaced Sodom as the great city. But rather than on unholy ground, New Jerusalem will come back to its foundation in Jerusalem — “the foundation of Peace” — the city of Melchizedek, the city of Jesus!

  Perhaps, God did use two stages to carry Paradise to heaven, just as with those dead in Christ. Abraham was there for stage one, and his “Seed” Jesus for stage two. Melchizedek was there to serve Abraham in the first stage and came again to prepare for us a place in heaven with Jesus. When Jesus was resurrected, the place was prepared. Paradise had laid dormant for 1000 years, and when Jesus arose, “Melchizedek” again prepared a place for the seed of Abraham.

  Do you not understand? It was never about the promised land, but about the City of God in heaven  by the Tree of Life on the River of God!

  John was shown that when he was given a vision of Paradise: “And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb” (Rev 22:1). And guess who was there? Abraham with Lazarus in his bosom! [x]

  That was the same “bosom” from which Abraham had tried to plant his own seed in Paradise, [xi] but it turned out that God planted His seed in Sarah! [1] It certainly looked like Abraham’s bosom in Paradise, but all the while, Lazarus was in the Bosom of God; you know — the same one from which Adam found grace when he was created! [xii]

THE CURSE OF THE FLESH - Part 1 and 2

 

(Note: I rewrote a portion of part one and added to it, so I present PArt 1 and 2 together in this commentary.)

  What stands between the human soul and God? Our flesh. Our flesh is the problem, and the Spirit of God is the solution. Now for some background on sin and the flesh.

  Some say that all sins are the same. Indeed, the penalty for any unrepented sin is death. Scripture says that the “wages of sin is death,” [i] notwithstanding which sin. The payback is the same unless the “debt” has been forgiven. That is where Jesus steps in — He paid the prices for all the sins of the world: to wit: “As ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot…” (1 Pet 1:18-19).

  Whose and which sins are the greatest? Not necessarily those that crucified Jesus but those who planned His death and instigated the crime. The cunning ones doing the will of their “father, the Devil.” Satan was in Judas, and unbeknownst to them, they were doing the will of Satan.

  Speaking to Pilate on the judgment day of Jesus, Jesus said to him, “He that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.” [ii] The question is, Who was the “he” that delivered Jesus to Pilate? Was “he” Judas? Was “he” Annas? Was “he” Caiaphas? Or was “he” the multitude?

  Judas betrayed Jesus, but he did not deliver on the betrayal. Annas, Caiaphas, and the multitude did! Even the apostles accompanied Jesus to the Cross without defending His honor. Yes, even the apostles committed a greater sin than Pilate. But Pilate, even, still sinned!

  “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” (Rom 3:23). Jesus died in the place of the centurion who pierced him, those who gambled for his clothing, Pilate, the multitude, and both Caesar and Judas themselves! All flesh deserved to die in the judgment of God, but to preserve themselves, they all killed the Flesh of God. He was the “scapegoat” of long ago!

  Someone’s flesh had to die, and God volunteered. The flesh in Christianity is a metaphor for carnality, or more precisely, “carnal knowledge.” Adam and Eve were created with flesh, but Satan imbued it with evil knowledge — that is to say, “carnal knowledge,” and knowing the pleasures of the flesh.

  Throughout scripture, coitus (sexual intercourse) is called “knew” as with Adam and Eve whose “Eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked” (Gen 3:7). The question is, Whom did they know? They perhaps had carnal knowledge with the “Serpent” (nāḥāš; Strong’s Dictionary). “Serpent” is an inexact translation. That Hebrew word also means “image.” Rather than a “snake,” the two had encountered an image of God.

  Think on that for a moment! Speaking of Lucifer, Isaiah wrote, “I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit” (Isa 14:14-15). Lucifer, hanging from “his” stolen tree, was like the Most High God nearby in the Tree of Life. The true God is the Tree of Life but there alongside Yahweh as the Tree of Life was Lucifer in the Tree of Death, and of course, presenting tempting fruit to entice the flesh to death.

  It was not better fruit but more pleasing to harvest because its fruits were lower, plus they were forbidden!

 The root noun of nāḥāš means “Enchanter.” (ibid). The image was certainly of flesh much like Adam’s but not “glorious flesh” in the true Image of the True God.

  Whereas God breathed life unto Adam, Lucifer, posing as the image of God, or as Yeshua Himself, enchanted Eve. The image of God charmed her into thinking that she was in the presence of God and what she did was not sinful, but trespassing. The difference between the two is the former is entering into temptation compared to latter, willfully disobeying the Word.

  Why was Eve punished? What did she admit to? The image beguiled her! [iii] She thought the image was the real thing. She thought that she was learning new, good knowledge from God. Like a child who has suddenly become aware that her genitals provide pleasure, Eve, perhaps, thought she was being made a wife of God Himself!

  Did Eve have carnal knowledge with the image of Lucifer? The Talmud indicates that, but is their scriptural evidence? “The message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother” (1 John 3:11-12).

  The Hebrew word for “beguiled” (nasha’) also means “seduced.” Lucifer was like the pedophile who offers candy to the little girl in exchange for sex. Not knowing what she is doing, a young girl often does things beyond her years. Eve may have done that! Lucifer would be the first “pedophile” as Eve was as innocent as a child.

  The penalty matched the seduction: To Eve, God said, “I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee” (Gen 3:16).

  Eve was not punished so much as learning the consequences of her actions. She should have questioned God, not the one posing in the image as God. She failed to recognize her real LORD. The image deceived her. Then the Accuser, accused Adam and Eve of doing as he was doing; to be “as God” (Gen 3:5).

  Eve learned that carnal knowledge invaded her genitalia and that pain in birth was a consequence of carnal knowledge. Why pain in childbirth? Because rather than her husband, she had just lost her virginity to a false God. A being who had merely enchanted her with his knowledge of the flesh that he was in!

  Just what kind of flesh did Lucifer put on? Certainly not a lamb’s skin for that is what God would use to cover the sins of Adam and Eve. Perhaps look elsewhere. Isaiah called the “Fiery Serpent” a śārāp̄. From Isaiah 6:2 it is determined that the “Serpent” was not a viper but an angelic being called a “Seraph.” Seraph means “burning one” (Wikipedia). Is that with fire or emotion? Paul wrote, “It is better to marry than to burn” (1 Cor 7:9). Was he alluding to the “Burning One?” Perhaps he was!

  Seraphim are known for surrounding God on His throne singing, “Holy, Holy, Holy.” [iv] Was Lucifer singing that to Eve; that the evil knowledge from him was Holy, Holy, Holy? Did Lucifer sing to her? Somehow, the fiery Seraph inflamed Eve as Cain was of the Wicked One! Music to this day inflames. It makes one wonder if the sound is the “Lord’ rather than the LORD GOD.

  Certainly, Eve “knew” Lucifer because Cain’s nature was like Lucifer’s. Cain would even insult God with his version of what an acceptable sacrifice should be! Somehow sin got into the DNA of Adam’s (sic) kind from Lucifer. Throughout scripture, all beings plant “seeds.” Perhaps the winged creature, Lucifer, sowed his seed just as God did in the Garden.

  The Seraph was penalized as well: Unto the fiery flying Seraph God said, “Upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life” [v] Did God remove his legs as some say, or was it the Seraph’s wings that were removed? Did Lucifer have his appearance changed to be like Adam’s? If not, why the promise? And I will put hatred between you, Lucifer, and Eve, and between your seed (Judas) and her seed (Jesus); Jesus shall bruise your head, and you shalt bruise the heel of Judas. Judas was Adam’s kind.

  Jesus would step on the skull of Adam on Golgotha and the “heel” of Jesus would be bruised when that happened. As Jesus stepped on Adam’s skull, the past sins of all the Adams before and were defeated. While that was happening, Lucifer in Judas was falling to the dust just as Isaiah saw in his vision, and just as is implied when the Seraph lost his wings!

  Lucifer’s problem was his flesh. He wanted glorious flesh like the Father, but his was just the image of that. He was jealous of Adam because Adam was in the image of God with glorious flesh, but he was not. So, what did Lucifer do? He could not create but he could enter other creatures. Perhaps the Serpent is “Serpent” because that animal was the flesh the Seraph used as his image. Cain would have is DNA mutated. His genetic “Adam” would not be Adam alone, through Eve, but Adam’s and the Wicked One’s.

  My bet is that “Serpent” did not describe the image of the Seraph, but Lucifer’s cunning [vi] and that the actual image that Lucifer chose was of a man so that Eve would desire her new “Lord” who replaced Adam. [vii] With sin, Adam no longer had dominion over the world; Lucifer would have, and Eve said “Lord” rather than “LORD GOD” as elsewhere in the Book of Genesis.

  Why else would her punishment be for this, “Thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee?” Because she had desired another man (sic)… at least a cunning Seraph that appeared as another Adam (man). Rather than the image like Adam ruling over her, perhaps subduing her through cunning, her desire would be for her husband.

  Why would that be the punishment? Because she had surely had desire for the image that looked so much like her husband. Did Lucifer appear to be just another Adam? Did the ploy of the Seraph work so well that he still uses those deceptions to this day for adultery and fornication?

  Why did she not exclaim, ‘The snake is speaking!” and run? Perhaps because it was a Adam look-alike?

  As Jesus is the “Second Adam” was the Image that Lucifer chose, Jesus? Is that so farfetched considering that Satan will choose that same image in the end as the Antichrist? Was the Beast in the Tree of Knowledge in the image of Jesus but was truly the Antichrist? Did Eve take the Mark of the Beast? Was the Mark the nature of cursed Cain?

  Indeed, the flesh of Cain was marked: “The Lord set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him” (Gen 4:15). That “Mark” whatever it was, would keep those with the Mark of the Beast’s child safe until the apocalypse.  Then they too would choose whose children they are — Lucifer’s natural children or those adopted by God as His children?

  What is the mark? It is in the blood! The blood of Jesus must be preserved! Cain’s mark was because his blood was tainted. He had the blood and DNA of Lucifer in him. Those who take the mark will take some type of injection that changes their DNA. With that said, no acids shall be injected unto this Living Creature!

  Meta analyses indicate this:

Leaders have detected vaccine-induced antibodies in the cord blood and breast milk of mothers vaccinated during pregnancy, providing hope that some of the benefits of vaccination are being passed along… (Andrea) Edlow described a surprising study she was involved in that showed that antibodies that fight the virus also have a hard time crossing the placenta. “There is a suggestion that infants will have some protection by maternal vaccination, but exactly what degree of protection remains a subject of ongoing study,” she said. (Dutchen, Stephanie; “Protecting the Next Generation”; Harvard Medical School News; April 30, 2021)

  It looks like it, but we do not know, is what she was implying. She (Edlow) is as gullible as Eve!

  It is possible for the immunity to be passed from mother to child! If only 7%, as the report says, then that is too great. Cain’s DNA was changed between one mother and one child in one generation. Since then, that mutated DNA has been in all men except the One borne here by God — Jesus!

  Likewise, God-given DNA was restored by one woman, Mary, and one child, Jesus.

  Eve thought that she would be safe; and that there was no chance of her “dying.” She did not die in the flesh, but her son did. On the other hand, she absorbed the imbued spirit of Lucifer. Thereafter, mankind had a new sort of DNA wherein all men are prone to sin.

  Eve surely thought that the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge would enhance her chance of living, but she was deceived by the self-appointed “authority” who had trespassed into the Garden. The Seraph named “Lucifer” was the Faucian of the day and in a Faustian scam, Eve sold her soul to the Devil!

  Is that a guess that the vaccine is the mark of the Beast (666)? No, it is not! But, by deception, the sons of the Wicked One (the “tares” that have multiplied in the world), deceive and demand that the vaccine be taken!

  Perhaps, the “mark’ is mutated DNA of Adam’s kind; the few who have been born again as adami. All are born with mutated DNA, but those who are “born again” have their DNA cleansed by the blood of Jesus as their flesh is washed in the Living Water and the very DNA of Jesus imbued within those who trust Jesus for life.

  Lucifer may have “jabbed” Eve and her DNA was changed and passed along to Cain genetically. The original trespass may have been allowing her flesh to be “trampled” on by Lucifer back in the Garden. Since, all men have sinned because just as Cain is of the Wicked One, now with multiplication, all are sons and daughters with the DNA of the Wicked One in them!

  DNA is the biological characteristic of all living things. Eve is the mother of all living. [viii] She was jabbed with the DNA of Lucifer, or so it seems. What has DNA to do with life?

  The set of chromosomes in a cell makes up its genome; the human genome has approximately 3 billion base pairs of DNA arranged into 46 chromosomes. The information carried by DNA is held in the sequence of pieces of DNA called genes. Transmission of genetic information in genes is achieved via complementary base pairing. For example, in transcription, when a cell uses the information in a gene, the DNA sequence is copied into a complementary RNA sequence through the attraction between the DNA and the correct RNA nucleotides. Usually, this RNA copy is then used to make a matching protein sequence in a process called translation, which depends on the same interaction between RNA nucleotides. In alternative fashion, a cell may simply copy its genetic information in a process called DNA replication. (Wikipedia; “DNA”)

  The chromosomes in a cell makes up its “genome,” and is the blend of chromosomes and genes. (Greek; pan genos, or “all offspring”).

  Original sin changed the genos of all.  Thus, “Genesis” is more than it is thought. It means “birth and descent” (Etymology Online). It is begetting. God “birthed” the first man, and thereafter, man begat. Life is in the pan genos, and hence the “Genesis” of Adam is critical.

  Cain was cursed: “The Lord set a mark upon Cain.” The reason being, “lest any finding him should kill him.” (Gen 4:15). Why would that concern God? Cain’s kind must be preserved to fulfill the promise of Genesis 3:15.

 It would be the “seed” of Adam and Lucifer that the “seed” of Eve would cause to die that Adam’s kind would live. The “seed” is much more than “waters” or ”semen” but the very DNA of humane life, or compassionate life. The incompassionate ones are those of the DNA of the Wicked One. That means to be humane and human means loving.

  With the title “Genesis” it should be obvious that the first book of Holy Scripture is about birthing and descending of two kinds of humans: one of God and the other of the Wicked One. It is about the transmission of DNA by multiplication.

  The former is from God who alone made man in His image, and the latter from Adam through Eve and her carnal knowledge of Lucifer. No humans are humane unless they are born again and something in their blood changes by the addition of the Blood of the Messiah. [1]

  From the source above, DNA is an “arrangement.” Humans all have like DNA and differ only from the apes by 3% on the DNA chain.

  Human beings are all from the same image, and the many different DNA patterns are supported by the “Table of Nations” in the Bible — the Genesis of Adam’s kind. The further away from their “genetic Adam,” the more mankind differs to the extent that in genetics of each DNA difference have their own “Adam.”

  The point here is that Eve’s flesh was her problem! She lusted after another naked “man” and to her credit, she was ashamed and covered her “shame” with an apron of fig leaves! She was “jabbed” in the flesh and afterward she was the first imbued with evil! Where was she jabbed? In the genitals —the place she would grow the DNA of Lucifer.

  Next, Adam’s sin will face the test of scripture: “Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six” (Rev 13:18).

  “Man” is Adam’s kind. Everyone is descended from Adam. But Eve is the “mother of all living.” Since scripture does not say that Adam is the father of all living, then that implies something important; that Adam did not father Cain! Of course, Adam begat Seth by planting his seed in Eve, but then Seth married the twin of Abel, the Righteous One.

  But there is no evidence that Adam begat Abel, or his twin sister who married Seth. Hence, Seth was righteous because he replaced Abel [ix] by marrying the twin of Abel. Through Abel’s sister, Seth’s seed became “Sons of God” who later married the “daughters of men” [x] (Eve’s mutated kind through Cain.)

  The daughters of Cain married the Sons of Seth. They were giants in those days, or Nephilim (Strong’s Dictionary). Supernatural DNA from gigantic Gregori from the heavens were in Cain’s kind. Those giants were destroyed in the flood, but their DNA, it was later discovered, lived on through the waters. How so? Through DNA, it seems by the wife of Ham because Canaan carried the curse! [xi]

  The DNA of Cain made it through the flood and was in Canaan. Canaanites were assigned a new personality. The name “Canaan” means among other things, “the color purple.” (Various sources). Purple lives matter!

  Today, science has revealed much more about purple than our ancestors ever realized: Purple is the most powerful visible wavelength of electromagnetic energy.  It’s just a few steps away from x-rays and gamma rays.  Perhaps this explains why purple is associated with supernatural energy and the cosmos than with the physical world as we know it. Taking all aspects of purple’s past and present into consideration, purple symbolizes magic, mystery, spirituality, the sub-conscious, creativity, dignity, royalty – and it evokes all of these meanings more so than any other color.   Canaan surely had the supernatural in him: that is because “purple is associated with supernatural energy and the cosmos than with the physical world as we know it.” Canaan was of the Wicked One because the blood of Cain made it through the flood with the DNA of the Wicked One in it.

  The mark of the Beast seems to be purple in color. Blue mixed with red makes purple. Blood with blue contamination would make purple. Perhaps the contaminated blood of Cain mixed with the pure blood of righteousness mutated the DNA and that it is symbolized by the color purple.

  Of course, the Canaanites of the Wicked One remain the nemesis of the righteous ones to this day. And of course, when entering the Promise Land, the spies were met there by descendants of Nephilim who made the Israelites seem like grasshoppers. [xii]

  It seems that supernatural beings are three times the size of human beings. Sacred literature makes a distinction between human cubits and sacred cubits. A sacred cubit is thrice the size of the human cubit. That means the cherubim guarding the Way to the Tree of Life were as tall as 18 feet if Adam was six feet of so like Jesus! Scripture bears that out with the bed size of King Og. [xiii]

  Upon entering the Promise Land there were giants there guarding the Way to the Tree of Life in what had been the Garden. The story of Sodom and Gomorrah indicates how the “Garden” went from “Paradise” to dead and was swallowed up by the Dead Sea. Commentary on that will follow in the next installment.

  This background is to show that the flesh does matter. Life of the flesh is from the blood. The plan of life is in the structure of DNA which provides order. Seven is the number of God and six the number of man.

  Something that happened to the number of man changed things. The DNA of God would be 777. The series of sevens would be a set with the same sequence passed down through the generations. That would be “good.” but Lucifer mutated the DNA of Cain and through Tubal-Cain the son of blind Lamech who was of the seed of Cain.

  Blind Lamech murdered as did his “father” Cain, so Tubal-Cain was of the curse as well. Then after the flood, Canaan had the curse. The numbers of mutated man were six for Cain, six for Tubal-Cain, and six for Canaan. The number of man remains in Canaanites, and they are adversaries of Christians and Jews!

  The Beast, the Antichrist, will have the mark of Cain, Tubal-Cain, and Canaan. “Chrislam” will be their religion and some leader from the tribe of Dan will be their king and god. [2]

  With that said, Chrislam must not be feared because they can kill the body (by beheading) but only God can kill both the body and the soul! [xiv]

  The flesh is so important in Christianity because the flesh is marked by the DNA of either good will or ill will.

  Animals are beasts and have different DNA than humans when they were created. The DNA of Cain was not the DNA of Eve and some snake, but the DNA of Adam through Eve and the seraph, Lucifer.

  For that reason, this Christian, shall not endanger his DNA! Nothing will be jabbed anywhere in my body that would jeopardize my God-given DNA. Shooting up with the acid, rDNA, does have the possibility of changing the DNA of any person. It only took one injection in Eve, the mother of all living, and it will only take the injection gone awry of one woman to change the DNA of her new kind!

  The vaccination is certainly not the mark of the beast but altered DNA by any means does mark! Mutated DNA, if it happens again, can change the DNA of men into beasts.

  Whatever “mark” the apocalyptic government offers will surely effect and affect the nature of man. Not only will the DNA change but the spirituality!

  What must we be to remain safe? “Marvel not; ye must be born again” (John 3:7), said by Jesus about those who would be injected by His blood and covered by His Living Water! Jesus elaborated on just how to be “born again.” It is not by any vaccine other than by His Blood that the Holy Spirit coats decaying flesh; that flesh with the DNA of the Wicked One.

  How is one born again? By trusting God to be the “Vaccine” for the virus of sin. [xv] That entails as seeing Judas, the seed of Satan as dead. That is symbolized by the fiery flying seraph (Lucifer) as dead in the Judas Tree of the Knowledge of evil.

  Be vigilant and sober. Beware of any jab or mark. Only the foolish, like Eve, would not question why to partake of unknown fruit nor would modern-day “Adams” not hearken into what “Eva”  say.
