I write this critique with concern, not of pride. The reader may find areas of disagreement since it is my understanding based on the Bible, on history and what Karl Marx himself said about socialism. It is presented in this format to address some, but not all of Marx's and Engle's points about socialism. It may appear to be disorganized, but yet the Manifesto on which it is based is of poor organization.
.CRITIQUE:
.It struck me the other day that this modern generation, the one of plenty, thanks to capitalism, has no concept of socialist doctrine. Time has erased memories of socialistic abuses worldwide. Even Castro and Chavez are tame compared to Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin and Hitler. But Hitler was a Nazi you say! He was a National Socialist (acronym in German... NAZI) who also engaged in the class struggle to gain power and abuse!
.You might add “Stalin was a Communist!”. If so, you are splitting hairs. Marx himself called communism and socialism the same. All “scientific socialists” are Marxist and socialism is merely a stage between democracy and communism. Even capitalism is necessary as one component of the class struggle and material has to be created before it can be confiscated!
.So why am I writing this? Because I don't believe that the younger generation will take the time away from their pursuits to study where we've been, where we are and what is going to happen. Just as the Christians turned a deaf ear to the crying Jews headed to concentration camps, so modern society, even Christians, are turning turning their mind off to the possibility of “death by decapitation”, the method of martyrdom to be experienced by new Christians during the coming apocalyptic tribulation period..
.Based on history, their own words, their ideology and the Bible, I believe the pre-tribulation end-of-time government will be socialist and the tribulation government will be communist. However, their leadership will be the same... the anti-Christ and his cronies! If you disagree, what other form of government would you suggest it might be? My case:
.“Utopian Socialism” varies from “Scientific Socialism” and is nearly obsolete, probably with the exception of some liberal religious and secular humanists groups who believe in salvation by works and the godhood of mankind, respectively..
.Socialism has always failed and will continue to fail for two reasons: 1) People cherish freedom and 2) human beings are not motivated for the same tasks. In addition, Utopian Socialism has failed for other silly ideas such as celibacy and the definition of family. Robert Owen, an early 19th Century Utopian Socialist tried out his communist beliefs in Harmony, Pennsylvania and New Harmony, Indiana. Both were a failure and a footnote to history!
.Peter Stuyvesant tried socialism in New Amsterdam when settling what is now New York. It was a dismal failure. Some people were parasites and just didn't want to pull their own weight. Can you believe that? It was changed after only one year. Socialism fails because it is naïve enough to believe that individualism is not important and many workers, contributing the same, is in fact, possible. Socialist doctrine flies in the face of Christian doctrine:
.Proverbs 28:19 He who works his land will have abundant food, but the one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty.
.Today's leaders are certainly aware of Marxist Doctrine because they have studied it. They are aware that socialism is an intermediate step to communism and know that it would be rejected if called that. They may NOT realize that the tribulation government will be socialist/communist since few politicians are evangelical Christians.
.In the past the word “liberalism” was used, but its abuses caught up with the name. Now the word “Progressive” is used in place of “liberal” or “socialist”. In America those who enjoy freedom, if demagoguery was not used, would reject the socialism outright. Why? Because in America, with it's unique blend of God, freedom, capitalism, and our one-of-a-kind Constitution, we have the best! You will see later that the concept of “separation of church and state” is a Marxist idea, completely un-American.
.My uncle ran for office on the “Progressive Ticket” I believe it was 1953. That was the year that the Communists unabashedly took over the Progressive Party, formerly represented by Teddy Roosevelt's Bull Moose Party and Robert LaFollett's Progressive run for the presidency. All failed miserably! What I am saying is that the “Progressive” movement is not even socialist, it is full-fledged communism! If you don't buy that look at the folks in today's Progressive Movement. Their names are in the news daily and they have a few things in common: 1) Elimination of the Constitution, 2) elimination of evangelical Christianity, 3) The confiscation of firearms to reduce resistance, 4) and power... power to remove the freedoms of those who disagree! Progressive/Socialist tactics are and have been to take over the leadership of existing parties.
.The first aspect requiring examination is “Whose the driving force behind these ideas?” I won't repeat what you all should have learned in U.S. History, but our imperfect founders were either Christians or statesmen who recognized the importance of Christianity. In fact, the entire experiment in coming to America was spelled out in the Virginia Charter: 1) a business venture (capitalism) and 2) to propagate Christianity. Those two are now in jeopardy. Here's what the Psalmist said about propagating the gospel:

proclaim his salvation day after day.

his marvelous deeds among all peoples.

Now we shall look at who's behind socialism. The main proponent of socialism is who? Karl Marx. But he's a Communist you say! Well, you just learned something, didn't you? I'll use an example: I want to become a Christian Pastor. What is the first step? I would hope that I need to become a Christian first! Likewise, for Communism. Socialism is a prerequisite. Marx knew that in particular industrial England would not accept outright communism, but would socialism. Likewise for the United States.
.In contrast to capitalism and our type of representative (republican) democracy, socialism was promulgated by non-Christians against Christians and all that was represented by the church. Marx, it's main proponent, said that “Religion is the opiate of the people”. What that means is that since you are so weak that you can't make it through life without a crutch, your drug of choice, just to exist, is the false hope of eternal life through Christ.
.John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
.So Jesus is truth and the reason we live. No one will see God (in Heaven), be resurrected, except by believing and following Jesus. Our hope in life is to be resurrected. This scripture contradicts Marx's biggest lie! Socialism is based on lies!
.So what of Karl Marx? He was a German political philosopher, economic theorist, and revolutionary, which means he was a militant who sought to bring about revolution (militant implies war and violence). Marx was invited to join a secret left-wing group in London, for which he and Engels wrote the “Communist Manifesto” in 1848. He was an atheist and a materialist. Is this a man Christians would choose to follow if they knew his origins. I think not!
.Following are the Biblical characteristics of the Government of the anti-Christ. Note that I do not claim that a particular office holder or candidate is THE anti-Christ, but preceding him will be many anti-Christs. Just as the prophets and John the Baptist paved the way for Jesus, many anti-Christs shall pave the way for the big evil dude... THE ANTI-CHRIST.
.The anti-Christ will for the first three years of his rule be well-liked and honored as a type of savior.
.A One World Government will be implemented, what we call a Global Government now slowly being implemented. (Marx's socialism makes this a criterion for communism)
.
A World Church will evolve based on goodness of mankind (Great Whore Babylon from Revelation).
.At the end of the first three years the anti-Christ will take over control of everything. (This is the end goal of socialism).
.In order to buy and sell everyone will be required to have the mark of the beast “666” or whatever facsimile.
.Christians will be required to deny Him. The failure to do so will result in decapitation. (Marx had a solution for those who refuse to comply. (Hitler and Stalin acted on that!).
.And for brevity, many others will be omitted. Do study the the Book of Daniel and Revelation yourself and draw your own conclusions. In fact, the reason almost all evangelical Christians hate socialism is because of biblical prophecy. The end-of-time Anti-Christian government not only resembles communism... it IS Communism! The Progressive Church of today IS the “Great Whore Babylon”! They will not be separate, but will be one!
.Now for words right out of the “Communist Manifesto” by Marx and Engels and other documents written by the two pioneers in socialism, please consider the following.

Those unions were Communist inspired and Walter Ruther received his training in the Soviet Union. Class warfare is a Marxist initiative, part of the Revolution.*

We are seeing this all over America now and was the most evident in Wisconsin. They don't understand that the money is running out for all those perks and there is no place left to borrow it. We ARE on the verge of a Civil War here in America with violence much like that now in Greece.*

.*Socialism attempts to do what Christianity CAN do... Whereas, socialism, through force and coercion, fails to emancipate, faith in Jesus Christ WILL emancipate. Only in heaven will we be free from oppression, classes and exploitation. Where exploitation is occurring right now is with the trickery of the Progressives. They are seeking revolution while the people are thinking positive change. Not so!*

.John 8: 31 … Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
.*You see socialism seeks Utopia without God, whereas Utopia (Heaven) can be found only through God! Many Christians are fooled by the “good” they think the “left” is doing. If it is “good” then they should be doing it voluntarily and by themselves... not coercing others. They want all the others to use their money to do what socialists deem “good”. An obedient Christian should and does give out of his heart! That's God's way!*

*Socialism does not create prosperity. It takes it away, and does so gradually. Socialists depend on capitalists to create wealth through initiative and motivation, then they jump right out to confiscate it through the “redistribution of wealth”. Historically, socialism fails because of this “entitlement” state of mind and for a lack of motivation. “Why strive when someone else will do it for me.”.*

.“Freeman and slave, patrician and plebeian, lord and serf, guild-master‡ and journeyman, in a word, oppressor and oppressed, stood in constant opposition to one another, carried on an uninterrupted, now hidden, now open fight, a fight that each time ended, either in a revolutionary reconstitution of society at large, or in the common ruin of the contending classes.”

*Revolution or annihilation is inevitable. Communists believe in an “open fight to the finish” and it may not be a pretty one at that. As an example, consider the overthrow of Nikolai I in Russia and the Provisional Republic succeeding it. The communists killed Czar Alexander II. When Nikolai I abdicated at the prompting of the Provisional Government his life was safe. The Bolsheviks (communists) infiltrated the Dumas (parliament) and forced themselves as the representatives of the people. They proceeded to assassinate all remnants of the monarchy and killed the Czar, Czarina, Czarevich and the entire family. Then when Trotsky became too powerful, Stalin had him assassinated. Boy this sounds exciting. Wish I was there to see socialism in action! You are there. Now! We may be in the early stages and the bible tells us where we're going.*

.*This is what people believe is the rich and poor, the have and have nots. Socialists have created two armies with the intent to fight a war to the finish. They continue to pit one group against the other. Hitler did this with “those rich and powerful Jews” and Stalin with “those burdensome Jews”. God has made the Jewish people His people. Christians are their offspring. Socialists will always persecute the Jews and their sole supporters, the Christians. This is also a religious war. Hitler had his New Age Seers and Stalin had his rage for the Jews that were complaining.*

.*Capitalism's livelihood is based on “Free Trade”. The U.S. Constitution guarantees free trade. America was chartered upon free trade, according to the Virginia Charter. Socialism is in favor of “regulation”... not free trade. The anti-Christ's rule is based on regulation... the mark of the beast. The government will keep track of every move you make. No buying or selling. You have to go along with the government. No freedom. Freedom is valuable and precious. Americans are free in our “pursuit of happiness” as a god-given right. Socialists want to take that away.*

*Socialism blames the factory owners and managers for the breakdown in the family. Christians blame Satan and his allies: rock music, television, the movies and media in general as glorified drugs, illicit sex and rebellion, as well as the need for immediate gratification and entitlements. If our children can't have it, they just expect it, and oftentimes take it. Their immature parents do the same. Sure people make money off this stuff, but sin breaks up the family. People can always reap money from sin. That's why they do it, and Christians fall for it!*

“The need of a constantly expanding market for its products chases the bourgeoisie over the entire surface of the globe. It must nestle everywhere, settle everywhere, establish connexions everywhere.”

*The bourgeoisie is guilty as charged as are the socialists. Especially today where union and management seek a global market for their products do we now turn our heads to non-Christian religions and so forth. The age of multi-culturalism is in and you are a bigot if you don't like that. With multi-culturalism comes foreign terrorist religions and we are not even allowed to proselytize them. We Christians are letting ourselves become extinct out of complacency. Socialism is a global initiative itself since Nationalism is only a temporary roadblock.*

It has agglomerated population, centralized the means of production, and has concentrated property in a few hands. The necessary consequence of this was political centralization. Independent, or but loosely connected provinces, with separate interests, laws, governments, and systems of taxation, became lumped together into one nation, with one government, one code of laws, one national class-interest, one frontier, and one customs-tariff. “

*Although capitalism has caused a lumping together of the population into cities, etc. it does provide jobs. Our success in America is due to blessings from God because we have stood by Israel. When businesses move to a city to create wealth, people follow. Whose to blame? No one. The factories make a profit and the worker makes a living to feed the family. Some people see that as good. I do. As for people becoming “lumped together in one nation”, with one government, etc. that is due to a socialistic consequence... regulation and control. Socialists want a global nation, not a local one. This falls in line with the One World Government of the Anti-Christ.*

*Let me stop a moment and recapitulate: Christians cannot unilaterally believe that all capitalism is “good” because it can be abused by sinners. However, capitalism has brought prosperity to the world and automation (the enemy of the proletariat) has brought us affordable products. Capitalism has supplied jobs where it is used and prosperity is in abundance in contrast to socialist countries. The success of China and some European countries is due to acceptance of capitalism into their economy. The drawbacks in those same countries are lack of freedom and suppression of Christianity.*

*“Simply said, earning money is boring!” Guess what... that's why you're paid. When it's fun, you pay. Machinery is not the enemy. Gratification is the enemy. Machinery does hard work to relieve the worker of doing it. Machinery does the unsafe jobs. Machines do the most repetitive jobs. In short, machinery not only has helped the worker, but allows us to make less expensive products for improved profits. Machinery contributes to prosperity and to the wealth of the worker. The Bible speaks often of the satisfaction of working. We are to work six days a week. Now we try to get by on four, three with absenteeism!*

“... the more modern industry becomes developed, the more is the labour of men superseded by that of women. Differences of age and sex have no longer any distinctive social validity for the working class. All are instruments of labour, more or less expensive to use, according to their age and sex.”

*Strange, huh? And you thought socialists were for equal opportunity of the sexes! Feminism is a tool used to divide. Socialists do not in practice care about women or even men for that matter... just power for the socialist leadership. Hitler used homosexuals to gain power. On the “Night of the Long Knives” he killed them. Socialists use class warfare as a weapon to obtain power. They don't have a Christian heart... there's is worldly and materialistic.*

“Thereupon, the workers begin to form combinations (Trades’ Unions) against the bourgeois; they club together in order to keep up the rate of wages; they found permanent associations in order to make provision beforehand for these occasional revolts. Here and there, the contest breaks out into riots. Now and then the workers are victorious, but only for a time. The real fruit of their battles lies, not in the immediate result, but in the ever expanding union of the workers. “

*Unions rightly negotiate for higher wages and better paying jobs. However, violence to achieve those goals are not only illegal and rebellious, but also Un-Christian. Socialists will be the first to say that America needs to negotiate with foreign enemies, but themselves turn easily to riots. (This again, was recently seen in Wisconsin). The most successful unions are those who are civil! The quote above shows that the end goal of socialist's use of trade unions is political power (for their leaders). Unionism is another tool used as a pawn for socialist power. The individual union member is a victim of this power scheme.*

“Finally, in times when the class struggle nears the decisive hour, the progress of dissolution going on within the ruling class, in fact within the whole range of old society, assumes such a violent, glaring character, that a small section of the ruling class cuts itself adrift, and joins the revolutionary class, the class that holds the future in its hands.”

*Here is where the propaganda machine sets in. The socialists use legitimate disagreement to foment struggles. In Germany the economy was blamed on the successful Jewish bourgeois, where they were ostracized, boycotted, removed and finally terminated in gas chambers. In Russia Stalin used the same tactic to wipe out millions of human beings in an artificially induced famine (i.e, he starved his own people to death by the millions). Stalin made Hitler look like a sissy! In the U.S. today, as in Greece and England as well, financial belt-tightening is causing an uprising among the unions. Otherwise civil Christian teachers are being turned into socialist fanatics, not for their own well-being, but for a renewal of union power with the intent of government control. What happens is that the well-off non-proletariat begins to sympathize with the struggle due to the propaganda machine, and in their ignorance, they also join the revolution. In the U.S. at this moment there is a revolution happening seeking change and hope... the hope for socialism the corresponding loss of freedoms.*

*I'm not being derogatory, but who do you suppose were considered “social scum”? It was Jews and the destitute then, now it's the Jews, blacks and Mexicans. Jews are always considered scum by the Progressives. Why else would radical Islam be protected so well by today's socialists and yesterday's Nazis. The blacks and Mexicans are a power-obtaining tool. All that counts is their vote. Socialists assume, often correctly, that those two groups will vote for whomever promises them the most. You might also throw Appalachian “social scum” into the pot as well. Anyone who thinks they are getting riches in return for votes pass power along to the socialists. They don 't do it for ideological, but for empty promises and a promised utopia. At the same time socialists pass pro-abortion laws to control the growth of “undesirables”. Margaret Sanger, the socialist heroine who started Planned Parenthood, used those reasons herself! The communists have stated that they will foment revolution through race relations. Al Gore hurriedly pushed for massive Mexican immigration so he could count on their votes).*

“In depicting the most general phases of the development of the proletariat, we traced the more or less veiled civil war, raging within existing society, up to the point where that war breaks out into open revolution, and where the violent overthrow of the bourgeoisie lays the foundation for the sway of the proletariat.”

*The Marxists recognize that a veiled civil war is in progress and that will lead to an open unveiled revolution. Overthrowing the industrial complex will allegedly make things easier for the worker. Experience shows that in those countries where the worker took control of industry through the government those industries manufactured poor quality products, not only out of demand worldwide, but in their own countries as well. Again, let me point out that China's present affluence is a result of their adoption of capitalism, not socialism!*

“The modern labourer, on the contrary, instead of rising with the process of industry, sinks deeper and deeper below the conditions of existence of his own class. He becomes a pauper, and pauperism develops more rapidly than population and wealth.”

*Here socialists say that the worker becomes a pauper because of industry. History shows that the worker rises out of pauperism because of jobs provided by industry (capitalism). One only has to compare socialism in Zimbabwe with capitalism in America to see that we are great largely due to individual investment and the industrial revolution. Socialism makes paupers of people. Their individualism and motivation is destroyed by the system. Blacks think they can't succeed because Progressives always tell them they can't by providing just enough to keep them “tame”. “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for life.” (Abraham Lincoln). Here's the basis of capitalism: Since I worked for General Motors Corporation (GMC) before it became socialist “Government Motors” I'll use it as an example. GMC built cars. They made horrendous evil profits in the neighborhood of 8%. What thieves they were accused to be! As management I made fairly good money, but it was a step down from the “owners” or what we call “stockholders” who made an evil profit on their investment. (I could also participate in those selfish profits by investing my money and buying stock if I wanted to share the wealth). I then took my fairly good wage down to the food store and traded my “ill-gotten money” for food. The store made another evil profit on my transaction and Connie Cashier had a job. Connie didn't make quite so much as me, but she was able to make a fairly good living, especially when you compare it to socialist countries. Ms. Cashier was a Christian so she put money in church and designated it for the poor. She also gave money to help the Salvation Army and Goodwill. What we see here is how the economy of a capitalist country works and why we are so successful! On a global scale almost all Americans would be considered rich!*

During the election of 2007 Soros put his billions behind Hillary Clinton until her campaign moved a little toward the center, then he switched to Barry Obama. Now that Obama, on a few occasions, has cooperated with the loyal opposition, Soros threatened to find another candidate to further socialism. Obama quickly stepped back in line! Soros is the “de facto” president of the United States controlling the office of the president and the Democrat Party through over 50 different organizations such as moveon.org, the Center for American Progress and the Open Society Foundation. Soros is a billionaire who made his fortune in unregulated Hedge Funds. Hedge funds are for those earning over $1,000,000 annually. So much for those rich Republicans, huh? As a matter of fact the last few party conventions show that Democrats had far more millionaires in attendance than Republicans. I mention this to show the power of propaganda. Say something often enough and it becomes the truth! This paper is not the indictment of everyday Democrats, many who have been totally misled. This has happened in to the Republican Party before with Theodore Roosevelt's “Bull Moose Party” and was prevalent on the Republican Party until Nelson Rockefeller lost his hold on the party in the 1960s. Democrats now need to do some “spring cleaning” so that we can return to a serious choice in candidates.*

*The new General Motors company is an example of where this has already happened. Ford was smart enough to not accept that generous offer to control them. Now GM will build what the government demands, not what the consumer wants. The Volt is America's first socialist vehicle. It is a “token” in environmental savings. However, the environmentalists are now happy campers. Myself, I like to make long trips, but in a classless society only the Secretary General and his bureaucrats will be able to vacation.*

*And you thought that democracy was America's idea. The U.S. rejected democracy because of its inherent dangers. We have a democratic republic. What that means is that within our Constitution, safeguards are built in to protect the minority. Let's say that Libya rids itself of Muammar Gaddafi and now sets up a “democracy”. The world will then be all happy because freedom reigns! Not necessarily. In a democracy whoever has the numbers wins the game. Right now it is likely the Muslim Brotherhood, allies of the world socialists, with their Sharia Law you will never again see freedom.*

*Although there is much more in “The Communist Confession of Faith” I rest my case here. In America the socialists say that they will use existing political parties to establish their rule. They have used the Republican Party in the past with Teddy Roosevelt and the Democrat Party on several different occasions: Wilson, Roosevelt, Carter and now Obama. If you read their own material, most of it networked back to George Soros, you will find who really controls our country and where it's headed. Compare the National Platform of the Democrats to where it was fifty years ago and you will find that “gradual or creeping socialism” has taken it over. It has not been by open revolution yet, but without firing a shot, just as Khrushchev threatened. Most Democrats are hard-working, patriotic people. They have no idea what is happening because they don't take the time to listen. Those who do, express disbelief, because “It can't happen in America!” We have enjoyed our freedom so long that we take it for granted! Surely, the President of the United States can't be a Marxist! But he is and all the denial in the world won't change that. You may not like Republicans. Many I don't like either. However, look at their platform. It is right now one of freedom. If they “change” back to their Progressive days we should change parties. We don't want Republicans to win elections... we want Christian statesmen to lead us. Statesman who kneel and pray, statesmen who are honest. God... please bring back the days where politicians lead by prayer on bended knee. And for the record... I pray that I am wrong. *
