The Modern Church

Most Christians attend the “Modern Church” and don't even realize it! For many it's out of ignorance and for others, it's preference. The Modern Church is the aggregate of churches whose views coincide and are dynamic with the values of society. In the last days the churches will be allied with the ruling leader. Hence, there will be a correlation between political ideology and religion. The apocalyptic government will be 3-1/2 years of socialism followed by 3-1/2 years of communism. The wise in the true Christians community should be looking at socialism, both in the political arena and the church. The epitome of the end-of-time church was the church at Laodicea.

Revelation 3:14 ”And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

15I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

17Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
18I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

19As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
.
20Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
21To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

22He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”

In verse 22 God is saying what His purpose is: His Holy Spirit is telling the end-of-time churches to heed His warning. Just because you're a “church” doesn't mean that the church is righteous. As he does for individuals God gives the churches a time to repent. They can turn around, but we know that most fail to heed God's warning. How do we know it's God speaking to the church at Laodicea? He says so!

Verse 14 shows that the warning is directed at the church of Laodicea. We know that that particular church itself is gone, but the Laodicean congregation is the picture of the end-of-time church. It applies to the churches in apostasy (abandonment). The speaker is God “saith the Amen”. God is Truth. He tells us that numerous times. “Amen” means “so be it” or “truthfully”. Hence, the message to the modern church is direct from God. The fact that it is by “Revelation” means that the message is for the church of the apocalypse (the doomed church).

In verse 15 the admonishment begins. “I know thy works”. God can see the actions of the people and leadership in the church. He judges us all by His standard. While His grace saves us, works are a pronouncement of how much we love Him. God isn't impressed by the modern church! He says “thou art neither cold nor hot”. What does God mean by that?

Obviously, God is saying that you (the church) are play-acting. You confess your belief, but your actions say it's only lip-service. You are making a half-hearted attempt at worship. Right and wrong are obliterated. Truth is subject to opinion. Truth is contaminated by the views of what's falsely called knowledge.

What is the main role of the church? What is the primary responsibility of the Christian? They're the same. We are to be “fishers of men”. The “Great Commission” of the church is to bring sinners to righteousness. Does the modern church reflect that mission? Emphatically, NO! The modern church reflects socialism. The Luciferian “Great Omission” is to deny the divinity of Christ and replace to replace it with “social justice”. Consequently, the aims of the church and the aims of the society through government become one. The government replaces God as the provider.

How can we recognize doomed churches? It's easy. Is the doctrine and leadership of the church in harmony with New Testament scripture? (I say “doctrine” and “leadership” because often the doctrine is correct, but the church hierarchy have created a new unwritten doctrine). Is your church allied with evangelical Christianity or is it allied with ritualistic Christianity! This is the difference between “hot” or “cold”. Is the doctrine and service of the church led by the Spirit or by the perversions of man?

Another way to determine if a church is Laodicean (apocalyptic) is in their alliance. The National Council of Churches (NCC) is an association of “Christian” churches founded in Cleveland in 1950. They are the intermediary between you and the United Nations. The NCC of churches are then at odds with the concept of “separation of church and state” and is phase I in the alliance between socialism and religion. The apocalypse will have a “One World Government” of which the United Nations is a precursor. One of the traits of the apocalyptic government is that they will usher in a “feel good” “social justice” type of church and the leader (the anti-Christ) will be the esteemed head of the church. He will be revered as God! If your church belongs to the NCC you need to examine your membership. While you may be a spiritual Christian your church may not be!

In verse 16 God tells the modern church what he thinks about them “I will spue thee out of my mouth”! Yes, God will vomit you, the modern church, into eternal damnation. He totally rejects the Christ which you've created! Many churches were formed on the principle of ministering to the poor. Unfortunately, often in history, the church has neglected the unfortunate. Although, “alms to the poor” is part of our commission, that tenet has been turned into “social justice”... the attempt to provide not “equal opportunity”, but “equal outcomes”. The modern church shares “social justice” as a goal and it's one and the same as the socialist government. Coincidence? No! It's prophesied.

As can be seen in verse 17 “ I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing” is that the modern church depends on itself for good works. Jesus tells us that we'll always have the poor, but we won't always have Him. While Jesus recognized poverty, his mission to the world was not to provide our physical, but our spiritual needs. A poor sinner is doomed to hell just as is the rich sinner... unless covered by the vicarious blood of Jesus! Jesus not only didn't recognize the need to save the poor from poverty, but would never even have thought of “equal outcomes”. My, how His word has been distorted! In fact Jesus tells us to not to place importance on the things of the world, but the things which are in heaven.

God says in verse 19 “ I rebuke and chasten”! He “reprimands” and “corrects” their actions. The modern church needs upbraiding and their error brought to their attention. Here, I'm doing just that by God's word.

God goes on to tell the modern church and the people therein to open their eyes and repent! Yes, the modern church is in error and is doomed unless they change... true change. We know that the Laodicean Church won't change, but yet God gives them a chance. Right now the modern church, like Gomorrah, are covered by the righteous who yet remain in the church. When few are found (as in socialist Europe), the end-of-time is here!

In verse 20 God says “ I stand at the door, and knock”! Yes, Jesus still wants to save the church. He is offering them every chance. Make sure your pastor answers the call. Prayer has before and can change the church. We need another even “Greater Awakening”! “Open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” That's grace... God's grace. Even though the church has turned their backs to God, he still wants them to repent. Woe are we, because in His foreknowledge God knows the wrong decision of the modern church. That church is and will continue to accept secular humanism as the official religion and will be even greater pawns of society. As in socialist Russia and socialist Germany, there will be an unholy alliance between government and the church.

There's a promise here! The churches which do change and there will be some, will be right there at the throne with God! Will your church be one that's there? Will your church be saved? Are you saved?
