On the other side there is a battle between the established candidates and those who want to turn things around. It's Donald Trump and Ted Cruz who desire a new philosophy. Although by different means, they both want to turn the world upside down!
Barack Obama ran his entire 2008 presidential campaign on"hope and change". He too wanted to turn the world upside down! Like most others before him, he failed and so will any others. Mere men have not the power to reverse mankind's destruction. When the world began it was "right side up"! Everything was copacetic and things were "cool" in the Garden. On the earth there was perfect harmony! It's when The Voice walked in the cool of the evening and The Word was the only version of truth.
Adam and Eve created what Jerry Seinfeld called a "bizarro world". What was then was flipped over. God was the King to whom two people had total allegiance, until a usurper entered the picture. God allowed Satan to test his creation so that men could show their love and allegiance to their Creator. Satan sent the serpent down to deceive and innocent children partook of the lie and turned the world wrongside up! This is called "original sin" and it's when the world was flipped over. The ruler went from a divine King to a mere Prince of the Air. The "king" of the world is a mere prince pretending to the throne on which God sits.
Isaiah 66:1a "Thus saith the Lord, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool..."The prince now sits on the footstool, but the King still sits on his throne! The footstool has little utility. It's what's rightside down. A very comfortable Paradise in the Garden is now merely a place to support our dirty feet. Politicians attempt to clean that footstool and upright it again. It's because of many of them that this upside down footstool is so soiled in the first place!
People look for the serpent to provide "hope and change". They want corrupt men to turn the world around. Most of them have eaten of the forbidden fruit and can merely spread the virus of sin. Their only ability is to add their own stink to this worldly footstool. Caesar was king of the world in apostolic times. He even proclaimed himself to be God. I know of Caesar, I've read of him. I assure you that Caesar was no God. He was a mere vassal to a weak prince. Caesar too attempted to turn the world upside down. He failed as did Marx, Lenin, Hitler, Napoleon, Mohammad, Stalin, and even Ghengis Khan. Without regard to their power and how hard they try, everyone has always failed to turn the world upside down!
Because of faith in God, for a spell, David thought he had, Even David failed! Our experiment in democracy was ordained by Divine Providence, but it was instituted by men. God assisted with it, but our founders knew it was pre-ordained to fail! It was politics which was to darken the hope that Providence offered. Like it or not, democracy has failed because people have turned to the Prince of the Air. They have looked toward the memory of Marx to save them, but he was a mere vassal to the prince of the air. Sanders and Clinton are deceived. In their attempt to turn the world upside down, they have further tarnished the stool which is worn from the dangerous feet of Obama!
Let's look at Caesar's world to learn our lesson:
Acts 17:2 "And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures, 3 Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ. 6 "... they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also; 7 Whom Jason hath received: and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, one Jesus."Wow! That's profound! Paul and the apostles didn't turn the world upside down as the Jews alleged. It was Jesus! Paul said that there is "another king, Jesus", but his was a different kingdom. One that men still fail to understand! He wasn't in competition with Caesar, Caesar only existed because this King allowed it!
I like the expression above "Paul, as his manner was"! (verse 2). That means that Paul had faith enough to always be forceful in proclaiming the real King right in the face of Caesar! Imagine if you will, Caesar bearing this ring of his servant (Figure #1).

Why would a mere king wear the picture of THE King. Because it was Jesus who turned the world upside down. After Jesus the world was never the same again. He uprighted the footstool and put a new cover on it! It was Christianity that cleaned the footstool and covered it in crimson. Rather than a dark world now, we have the promised rainbow. Blood was spilled on that dirty footstool, but it's beautiful blood. Jesus is who turned the world upside down, but the Jews saw it turning and were fearsome! It was no longer to be the world of Laws, instability and dissension. Jesus came to turn the world upside down: hate was to be replaced by love. war by peace and the Law by grace!
Rome and Judea represented the status quo. The people were comfortable in their own misery. People for some reason feel safety in their bondage! Even some slaves fought against their own freedom and stayed in bondage even after they were proclaimed free men! It was the fear of being free which enslaved free men!
Even today slaves to the world are free men who find safety in bondage. That's true of government, but it's true of faith as well. People feel free in socialism with all its false promises to turn the world upside down, but that's because they fail to accept the Christ who did turn it upside down! "It's Jesus whom I preach unto you, the Christ"! (verse 3). In him lies true hope and change and we've found that all Obama and socialism has offered is despair! While they preach Utopia, Christ taught the hope of Paradise. Their Utopia is life in the tropics of Hell, Paradise is a paradise. That's the "un-bizarro" world few will find!
