The situation between Ishmael and Isaac was a repetition of Cain and Abel. Adam “hearkened” unto Eve and Cain was borne of the Wicked One. Likewise, Abraham “hearkened” unto Sarai and Ishmael was borne. (“Borne” is intentional here because the women only carried their children, but God delivered them.)
Adam, listening to Eve, wrought a great nation of wicked men and women. They were not to be a great nation, and God washed them from the face of the Earth during the deluge.
Somehow the seed of Cain made it through the flood and was “replanted” so to speak. The “fruit” of that seed was Canaan.
Hagar, the Egyptian was from the seed of cursed Ham through Canaan. By her, Ishmael was the new rotten “fruit”. Ishmael was “Cain” planted again in “Eden”. The area around the Dead Sea was where the great nation of Ishmael was to be. [i]
God had a plan for Ishmael to be a great nation, and for what reason? Cain, with the Wicked One in him, would rise again and again. Cain, like Jason of the movie Halloween, is extremely difficult to kill. His seed is just planted again, ostensibly in the same arid soil.
Judas of Iscariot, most likely, was of the seed of Ishmael, Canaan, and Cain. He was planted in the same arid soil that once had been Eden. The Gulf of Eden remains to this day in remembrance of those three persons. Likewise, an eroded pillar of salt marks the spot. Someday, the Antichrist will arise from the deserts of Eden with the Wicked One in him.
Apparently, God made Ishmael a great nation to test the faithful. Just as God tested Abraham with whose seed he would choose, God will test the seed of Abraham in the same way’ to wit:
And I (John) saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (Rev 20:4)
Those that John saw were the seed of Abraham, specifically, the Israelites: “And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel” (Rev 7:4).
Abraham hearkened unto Sarah because he understood the two “Great Nations” from his seed. The governments of the apocalypse will be two: (1) The seed of Ismael that would rule, and (2) the seed of Isaac who would serve them.
Finally, in the end, the curse of Canaan will be reversed for seven years, and then it would resume when the seed of Canaan would again serve Shem during the millennial reign of Jesus.
That would happen just as God told Noah: “God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant” (Gen 9:27). Ultimately God made Ishmaelites a nation to serve Semites and Japhethites (Muslims would serve Judeo-Christians). That curse was fortified with Joshua:
9 And the separate cities for the children of Ephraim were among the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages. 10 And they drave not out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer: but the Canaanites dwell among the Ephraimites unto this day, and serve under tribute. (Josh 16:9-10)
Most have heard the story of the Good Samaritan. Well, Samaria was what was once the northern kingdom of Israel that was dispersed. That northern territory was called “Ephraim”. Ephraim was the adopted son of Jacob (renamed “Israel”) who was born to Joseph in Egypt by an Egyptian woman. Samaria was the land of “Egypt” all over again. Samaria was the abode of a mixed race of Jews and Egyptians. Isaac’s blessing to Israel was to keep Israel’s (the person and nation) seed pure:
1 Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan. 2 Arise, go to Padanaram, to the house of Bethuel thy mother's father; and take thee a wife from thence of the daughers of Laban thy mother's brother. (Gen 28:1)
Samaritans were not a spiritually clean race because they were of both Egyptian and Canaanite blood. They even had their own syncretic religion and Unholy Temples.
Israelites were not to intermarry with Canaanites. There were two of the tribes of Israel that were impure: Ephraim and Manesseh, both of whom had the same Egyptian mother. Mostly impure and idolatrous kings would come from the area of Ephraim which by that time incorporated Manasseh and made the remainder of the eight tribes impure.
As in the days of Joshua, “the Canaanites dwell among the Ephraimites unto this day, and serve under tribute. “Today” was then and now! Those Canaanites are Philistia (Greek) or Palestinians. They would remain among the Ephraimites (Samarians) to pay “tribute”, or to serve them.
To this time, the Palestinians have served the Semitic race by keeping the nation of Israel intact. By 1948 they had served the Semites from anno mundi (AM) 1656 (the flood) to AM 5709 (Jewish Independence) or an estimated 4053 years. That was God’s Plan for the Ishmaelites all along!
Israel and Esau were born 2137 BC (Wikipedia; “Biblical literalist chronology”). The nation of Israel was “reborn” in 1948, thus its rebirth is estimated to be 4000 years of age since the birth of Jacob was the establishment of his “great nation.”
The phrase, “to this day”, corresponds with any day. Canaanites will always pay tribute to Israel, excepting the seven years when Israel will be forced to pay tribute to them!
Now for another man of the Wicked One — King Herod the Great. He was an Idumean who was Jewish, not by genealogy, but because Idumea had converted.
Herod was from Ishmael. He was part of Ishmael’s “great nation”, but here he was when Jesus was born; there to murder the innocents because a newborn King was a threat to him. Of course, the massacre of the innocents is unknown how, but because of scripture, it makes sense that they were beheaded for Jesus’s Name [ii] but also because Herod’s son, Herod Antipas, beheaded John the Baptist. [iii]
Is it only coincidence that beheading will be used against the Israelites during the reign of terror (the massacre of the righteous) of the Antichrist? Perhaps not! It is almost certain that the government of the Antichrist is Sharia Law and its religion “Chrislam” — a syncretic blend of heretical Christianity and Islam like the blending of Nigerian Christianity with Islam that recently the Pope purveyed.
Pope Francis met in Ur with leaders of the Islamic faith (few Jews would attend). It was summarized quite well by Rafah Husein Baher: “Together, we subsist through the war ruins on the same soil. Our blood was mixed together. We tasted the bitterness of the embargo. We have the same identity.”
The problem with Jews was not that they left THE LORD GOD but that they took other gods before Him, or precisely, in His Face. Taking Muhammad or even their “Jesus” (Isa) is syncretism, or modern Chrislam.
With that said, the birth of Ishmael was of the Wicked One through Hagar the Canaanite Egyptian. The birth of Isaac was of the LORD GOD and Sarah whose blood was the same as her husband’s (That he was her half-brother is significant). Indeed, Isaac was of THE RIGHTEOUS ONE just as righteous Abel. Just as proposed, the birth of Ishmael and Isaac was a repeat of the story of Cain and Abel.
It was also a preview of the two friends (brothers) Judas and Jesus. Judas, just like Ishmael and Cain, was of the Wicked One.
Why Ishmael? Because he was conceived out of Holy Matrimony, was not of Sarah’s redeemed flesh, and was of cursed Canaan.
Abraham hearkened unto his wife, just as Adam did. The wages of both were sins. Adam was cursed with Cain and Abraham cursed by Ishmael, and the seed of Ishmael will curse mankind until the end because the blood of the Wicked One flows through the veins of the Antichrist. He is the same “Beast” that seeded Eve in the forbidden tree.
Now the reason for God preserving the Ishmaelites should be clear. They were tools for the curse of Canaan, and were the wandering people of Cain, “The Wanderer.”
