\Jesus was judged harshly. Among other things, the chief priests created false witnesses, or at least those with poor understanding. Jesus did say that He was able to destroy the Temple of God and build it in three days. (Mat 26:61), but He did not say that He was God; He said that He would be God’s right hand of power (Mat 26:64). They found two select witnesses who said those things. That is not uncommon even to this day. Many people, even the former U.S. President, have had false accusers with axes to grind!
Jesus harmed nobody but He had a
reputation. He seemed arrogant to those who were appalled that His claim to
fame was to sit alongside their Jewish God.
Now for some critical analysis: Later,
after Jesus had spoken, “He was received up into heaven, and sat on the right
hand of God” (Mark 16:19). Stephen, as Luke wrote it, said it a little
differently, he “saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right
hand of God” (Acts 7:55).
“Glory” in that passage is brightness
or even an exalted state. On the other hand, Jesus would be God’s right hand of
power (Mat 26:54). Power is in the Greek, dynamis; in English it
would be dynamics. Dynamics are forces in motion. The Glory of God is His
Dynamics, or Goodness.
Would Jesus be standing or
sitting at the right hand of the power of God? Josephus revealed the meaning of
the right hand of power. Contextually, it is neither sitting nor standing;
it is established.
For instance, Vespasian Caesar
established his son, Titus, to be his right hand of power. Titus neither sat nor
stood in a positional relationship to Caesar, but in the absence of Caesar, was
effectively Caesar; he was authorized.
Josephus, even when Titus was a
general, called him ‘Caesar’ because he had the power of his father. That was
the same relationship between Jesus and His Father in heaven. Jesus was not God
in the same sense of the gods of Rome who sat or stood alongside their father,
Zeus, but Jesus would really sit on the Throne of God, not beside His Father,
but the Power of God in Him!
I hate to upset theologians, but
there were not three ‘Persons’ of the Godhead — the Holy Trinity. The Holy
Spirit is the ‘Power’ of God, Jesus the ‘Person’ of God, and the Father, the ‘Glory’
of God.
In an earlier commentary about
the ‘God Coin,’ if the Godhead was a coin, then the ‘heads’ would be Jesus, the
backside or ‘tails’ the invisible Father, and the dynamics of a coin spinning,
the Holy Ghost. The coin would be neither heads nor tails so long as the coin
was spinning; only when it stopped would the ‘God Coin’ be seen as heads or
tails.
In the Old Testament era, the
coin stopped at ‘tails’ and the Jews beheld the Father. When Jesus came, the
coin stopped on ‘heads,’ and albeit the Jews wanted to see the tails, the spin
of the coin stopped at heads.
The Jews thought the coin was
rigged (out or balance, or not established), and rejected the truth that the
heads was as much God as the tails! They failed to see that even when the coin
was spinning in Dynamics, as in the Book of Acts, that the Spin was as
much God as either heads or tails.
Christians saw God a little
differently; when they were all gathered in one accord, “Suddenly there came a
sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house
where they were sitting” (Acts 2:2). After Jesus had ascended, the Holy Ghost
descended, and the ‘God Coin’ was not stopped; the spinning continued because
of the Power of God within the God Coin. The early Christians were not able to
see the Invisible Father nor the visible Jesus — the tails nor the heads, but
the Power of God — His Divine Dynamics giving off virtue. The “rushing mighty
wind” of Acts 2:2 was the ‘spin’ of the God Coin — the Power of God.
Jesus neither sat nor stood beside
the Father, but Father God and Jesus in motion were the Dynamics in the Power of
the God Coin that I have presented.
The God Coin is the Image of God;
all three of them, in one Coin. Only the heads could be seen during the
ministry of Jesus, and only the backside could be seen by Moses: “I (god) will
take away Mine hand, and you shall see my back parts: but my Face shall not be
seen” (Exod 33:23).
God passed by (Exod 33:22). He
was in motion, like in Acts as fire (Acts 2:2). God was stopped right in
front of the eyes of Moses before in motion. God took away His hand and just
like on my God Coin, Moses got tails.
God was up to His established
methods with Jesus. “Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring
forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is,
God with us” (Mat 1:23).
The Holy Spirit was with Mary and
suddenly, the Spirit was stopped. That Spirit was the spin of the God Coin
again. Mary saw nothing but felt a Presence within. Then the Spirit was stopped
by the Father and Mary would see Jesus when she brought forth a son.
The Godhead was revealed. God
stopped the God Coin at Mary, and God the Father got honorable mention, but she
saw God as the son, she beheld Him. The Holy Trinity appears to the
world however and whenever it is when God puts his Hand on the Dynamic God Coin;
hence releasing the virtue, or good Dynamics of His Power, for all to see Him
in their own manner.
The Jews, even the chief priests,
saw the God Coin stopped, but they only saw the Person of God, even failing to
see that He was Yahweh God.
Because Jesus lost virtue during
His miracles, Christians could see that the man, Jesus, was indeed Yahweh
in Person as the Name implies (Emmanuel) — ‘God With Us.’
Not coincidentally, but by God’s
design, the Roman Coin was much the same. Vespasian, the father, was Caesar who
was not there in Judea but was the known power far away in Rome. Titus was the
son of Vespasian who while in Judea was the ‘face’ of Caesar. Behind the scenes
the second son was Domitian, the operative for Caesar who made things happen, literally
running the empire on behalf of Caesar. Then at the Triumph of Caesar in Rome,
the Roman godhead was exposed. There was Vespasian, Titus, and Domitian; all welcomed
by the citizens of Rome as Caesars! One after the other in the process of time,
they all became Caesars with Domitian, the acting ‘ghost’ of Vespasian, who was
finally beheld as the last Caesar.
(These three were the three
persons of the Roman Triumvir (my term), but the Holy Trinity was one Person of
three different substances: Face, Mind, and Spirit.
When Jesus died, he declared it finished.
Just as with the Flavian dynasty when Domitian finally was revealed as Caesar,
as he acted all along, when Jesus gave up the Holy Ghost, His Ghost was
revealed as ‘Caesar; He was King of kings and Lord of lords, as well.
The Caesar Coin had the face of
Caesar as king of kings on the front, and on the backside, ‘Pontifex Maximus’
as the Lord of their college of lords. In other words, perhaps for the Jews to
understand the Godhead, God made the Roman government in the image of the
Godhead!
Lastly, it was reported that
Jesus said that He would tear down the temple and build it back in three days.
The Jews believed it was Herod’s Temple that He would tear down. As it turned
out, the Jews — three groups of malefactors — tore down Herod’s Temple. It was
the Jews that should have been on trial.
The ‘Temple’ of which Jesus spoke
was the Godhead. It was torn asunder at the crucifixion. God, it seemed, was
not there, and the Holy Ghost fled from the ‘vessel’ of Jesus. The Godhead was revealed
as God was torn apart. The Godhead was built afresh when after three days, it
was restored with the Resurrection; when the Ghost of Jesus was reunited with
the Body of God and soon sat on the throne as the Power of God.
Silly people! They did not
understand what they were doing. It was really the Jews that tore down the
Temple of God — the Godhead — and Jesus that built it back! Perhaps the
Christians understood that it was the Jews that would tear down their own
temple in 70 A.D. and that it was Titus who even tried to save the Temple from
destruction in the same manner that the acting Caesar, Pilate, tried to save
the Godhead — the real Temple of God — from destruction.
Now for some science; the structure of the Godhead follows the same rules as 'Quantum Strangeness' __ 'Christian Peculiarism.'
