SECURITY CONDITIONAL ON ACTION

I will not even attempt to identify the creatures that Ezkiel saw but the message was very clear; God expects the righteous to be righteous!

Ezekiel was picked to give the captives a choice: hope or despair.

Ezekiel, along with the other Israelites, was held captive in what is now Iraq in the city of Nippur. There was the seat of the god of the wind, Enlil the ruler of the cosmos. Enlil was a fake God that they might be tempted to follow, and surely many were.

The living creatures that Ezekiel saw came to him in this manner; “The heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God” (Ezek 1:1).

Soon, “The Word of the Lord came expressly unto Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the Lord was there upon him” (Ezek 1:3).

Now, let us examine how the Word came — “expressly.” Literally, the Power of God (El) “fastened” (Jehezekel) upon Ezekiel the prophet. Ezekiel became Jehezekel in a manner after God paired with him.

For those who have followed my serial book, An Awesome Quantum God, let it be known that God quantumly “entangled” Himself in Power with Ezekiel and he became a new creature with the supernature of God. He would need to be like God to interact (entangle) with the other captives who would surely give him a hard time.

The “Word” that came upon Ezekiel was the “Word” of which the apostle John wrote; Ezekiel saw the preincarnate Jesus. What would Ezekiel have seen? What Luke saw at the baptism of Jesus: “The Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon Him, and a Voice came from heaven, which said, “You are my beloved Son; in you I am well pleased” (Luke 3:22).

Ezekiel did not see a man but a phantom Image (Selem) of God.

Remembering that the Power of God fastened on Ezekiel, what was happening. The Holy Spirit in the shape of the person, Jesus, engendered Ezekiel; the nature of Ezekiel became like the nature of God in Power.

The “Godhead” has three substances: (1) The Power, or Dynamics, of God, (2) the Backside, or Phantom, of God, and (3) the Obverse, or Body of God.

The Dynamis (The Word) of the Godhead stopped on Ezekiel and revealed Himself in action: God fastened Himself on Ezekiel and Ezekiel became like Him but of a different “spin;” God would remain in Phantom, but His Spirit would be in the form of a man. As such, Ezekiel was an antitype of Jesus — alike but different in some respect. He was just a man but with the Power of God. He was what Paul meant when he said, “In Christ” — the Power of the Word is in them.

God picked Ezekiel exclusively and so He does each Christian. With Ezekiel, God attached Himself to Ezekiel and Ezekiel assumed the Power of God; the heavens were opened, and he saw visions of God. God is Invisible to the naked eye, but He is still as real as Jesus because Jesus is God. Ezekiel, although Jesus was of a different substance, He was revealed to Ezekiel.

God can be seen, not only in Body or Spirit, but by His Actions as well. That is the quantumlike characteristic of the Godhead; the obverse is Jesus, the reverse Father God, and the motion (Action) is the Dynamics of the Father and the Son.

Ezekiel had a close encounter with a Divine kind, and it was not an alien being, but the Supreme Being that was alien to the Jews. God revealed Himself to Ezekiel. Ezekiel became like Him, then the Jews would see the Christ in Ezekiel and be persuaded to become righteous.

As such, Ezekiel became a prophet — a messenger of God carrying the Word of God to the lost. Prophets are much like angels within but appear in a natural physical state. Ezekiel was imbued with the Word of God and his task was to share the Word of God that was in himself.

He did not become God nor even the Word, but the Word was in him as surely as it was in Jesus. Ezekiel was himself in Christ and then he would go to the prisoners to make them free; as it turned out, not only free from the Babylonians but free to return to Jerusalem to be with their God rather than with Enlil.

The apostle John was aware of this action when he wrote, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed” (John 8:36). Ezekiel was made free by the “Son” (The Word) and before it was all over, he was free of the yoke of the Babylonians. Cyrus the Great of Persia was the action that God used to make them free!

Note that God did not use a faithful Jew to restore Judea but used a pagan. Pagans make useful tools to do the work of God, otherwise like the Maccabees, they would make a name for themselves.

How did God fasten Himself to Ezekiel. He provided a scroll with words written on it. He told Ezekiel to eat of it. In a sense, the Word of God fastened itself to Ezekiel when he ate of it. Ezekiel would have eaten of the Tree of Life worthily because God fed it to him. Those “trees” were not necessarily trees but “firm things.” The firm thing that Ezekiel ate were the Word of God on a scroll. In a sense, he ate the “Bible,” and the Word was then in himself.

There was great action when the Lord and His hosts left Ezekiel; “So the Spirit lifted me up, and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the Hand of the Lord was strong upon me” (Ezek 3:14). Ezekiel was lifted by the Spirit of God which he then recognized was the “Hand of the Lord.” Ezekiel saw that the Dynamics of God when stopped was the ame strong hand of the invisible God that kept him. He understood that the invisible Presence of God was as real as His physical Presence, and so it was.

At the river Chebar, “there (he) astonished among them seven days” (Ezek 3:15). He fed them the Word of God from within himself. In a sense, He was as Christ.

Just as God had put His Spirit in Adam in the beginning and then Adam put the Spirit of God in the woman, so it was with Ezekiel.

Next, it is written, “Son of man, I have made you a watchman unto the house of Israel” (Ezek 3:17). As a “watchman” (sapa), Ezekiel’s role was to peer into the future and that he did. He ate the Word and kept it within himself. He understood the future Dynamic of God to protect the Israelites.

Herein is the message that God gave Ezekiel. It concerned the future when the Word came in the flesh rather than in the Spirit: 

When I say unto the wicked, ‘You shall surely die;” and you give him not warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

Yet if you warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.

Again, when a righteous man does turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling-block before him, he shall die: because you have not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

Nevertheless, if you warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he does not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also you have delivered your soul. (Ezek 3:18:21)

That was the message that Ezekiel was given by the Word to take to the captives in Iraq, but he was also to take into the future. They are conditions for safety and freedom.

For now, focus on just one condition: “When a righteous man does turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumbling-block before him, he shall die: because you have not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered.”

That is our warning from the past. All the while Christians think they are free and safe; they may not be.

A righteous man or woman are those who trust the Word, Jesus, for salvation. They are those in Christ, having been “born again” in the same manner as Ezekiel. As such, they have “eaten” the Word of God and the Word is in them.

Ezekiel kept the Word but even he was in jeopardy: His duty was to spread the Word to the others. His dynamic was to be the Dynamic of Jesus. If he failed to direct the Word to whosoever, then he would be held accountable; he could have died if the action of Christ had not been in himself. His soul would be delivered, or saved, after he accomplished what he was rewarded with — the Spirit of God. He would be required to take the activity of God and make it active to the world; to both the unrighteous and the righteous.

Even those, who like Ezekiel, who had consumed the Word, if they failed to share it, then they too were in jeopardy; “he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered.”

The Word in even Christians cannot remain dormant. If the Word is in us Christians, then it must get out to multiply the Spirit of God.

Just like quantum mechanics, the Word of God must spread to each of us “trees,” as we are compared to in both scripture and quantum theory.

How does God entangle us “trees”? He directs the Word as us, then we spread the Word in a dynamic wave. That was what God meant when he told Adam to “multiply.” He was to produce more living souls, and as Adam’s kind that is our role as well.

If the Word stops at us, unless it moves on, God stops it for good in us with death. If the Dynamic of God that is in us is not kept dynamic, then we worship the Name in vain.

God does not give up on us for we are sealed in the same manner as Ezekiel; we are fastened to the Word, Jesus. If we fail to have the Virtue (Dynamis) of Jesus, then us “pebbles” from the “Stone” go by the wayside just like the seeds in the parable.

The Word of the Lord sometime later came unto Ezekiel who said these words: 

Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put My spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and you shall keep My judgments, and do them. (Ezek 36:25-27)

 Ezekiel had the Word of the Lord in himself explained. God would turn hearts of stone and make them alive flesh after God cleans the flesh.

Baptism and rebirth are separate events; first the flesh is cleansed of its filth, then comes the heart which is circumcised of its nature. Water does the outward work and then “I will give you,” God said, “an heart of flesh…I will put My spirit within you.”

That passage distinguishes between baptism with water and baptism of the Spirit of God — the Holy Ghost that God put into Ezekiel.

Then God adds your responsibility; “You shall keep My judgments and do them.” Again, just as with Ezekiel, the righteous must be active to keep themselves secure from death. How to judge whether you are active or not? By the works that you do; not that it is the work you do, but your willingness to spread the Good News that Ezekiel spread.

If we are to be like Jesus, we are to spread the Good News that Jesus spread.

IF GOOD FOR ADAM; GOOD FOR MANKIND

The time had come — the midnight hour, so to speak, but near dusk when the Sabbath Day was on the horizon. The Sabbath is a day of rest. All week Jesus had worked hard, even sweating as if drops of blood. His work was so hard that He asked the Father to take the ‘Cup’ from Himself and give it to another, but that could not be. This very week 1991 years ago was the time the debt for original sin was paid. Good Friday finished many things.

The week was finished for Jesus wherein the trials had been hard. The crowd had gone from adoring Him on Palm Sunday to cheering for His death on Friday. Not only that, but His purpose had come to its conclusion.

To the Serpent God had said, “I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel” (Gen 3:15).

That was finished on Golgotha — ‘The Place of the Skull,’ or more precisely, Calvariae Locus in the Latin; in English Calvary — ‘The Place of the Cranium.’

Whose cranium? Adam’s, according to early sacred writings. Seth and Melchizedek are believed to have placed the bones of Adam on the Ark and buried them on the sacred mountain. Jesus said, “It is finished” (John 19:3) as Jesus bowed His head toward Adam’s bones, and gave up the Ghost.

The enmity was settled. As Isaiah prophesied so long before, “He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed” (Isa 53:5).

Something else was finished — the only perfect man ever was bruised just as God had told Adam and Eve. His bruising finally came, and blood sprinkled the ground (adama in the Hebrew) and the sins of all mankind since the beginning were paid.

Adam was there, perhaps even in spirit as well as bones, as Matthew saw it; “The graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose” (Mat 27:52). The first ‘saint’ was Adam on whom God had put on a coat of skin (Gen 3:17). Surely, Adam arose on what is now called ‘Easter Sunday’ with Jesus. Many people would have seen him and understood. Adam’s sins were paid, and his debt was finished. Adam was de-glorified with sin but on this day 1991 years ago, it was ‘Good Sunday’ for him.

True to God’s Word, the heel of Jesus was bruised but He was not all the way dead. The penalty for sin was not that Adam would “surely die” (Gen 2:17), but literally “die, die, die.” By grace, Adam died in the flesh, but his mind and soul would live on because God covered both him and his wife with what I believe is the ‘whole armor of God’ — the ‘Garment of Adam’ as those coats were called.

Finally, God concluded the Edenic Covenant; God had set forth Jesus, “to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God” (Rom 3:25).

You surely have missed something in that passage. The Blood of Jesus from His bruising took away past sins. Not only your past sins, but the past sins of all who came before the crucifixion. The Blood of Jesus remitted the original sin of Adam and Adam was even there to be reglorified to return to Paradise that same day as Jesus.

Finishing the miracle, “The graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose and came out of the graves after His resurrection” (Mat 27:52-53).

It was a great day for Adam. Adam was resurrected. His soul was kept safe all those millennia and when Jesus rose, Adam arose in the flesh in the same manner as Jesus. “The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit” (1 Cor 15:45). Jesus quickened, or made alive again, the man Adam. Jesus fulfilled the Edenic Covenant as Jesus resurrected Adam with Him!

If Adam can arise because of the Promise of the Word, so can Adam’s kind. Because Adam arose, whosoever believes in Jesus can as well. The payment was made for Adam’s sin and since sin is genetic in the nuclear cells of mankind, Jesus fixed the Image that had been in Adam and made Him glorious again.

Jesus justified Adam and since we are genetic sons of Adam, our sins were justified as well. As Jesus was glorified (John 7:39), Adam was glorified (Mat 27:53), and we too, for those in Christ, shall be glorified. Adam, thanks to Jesus, who once came short of the glory of God, no longer comes short because the Blood of Jesus corrected the sins of Adam; and can our own as well.

Jesus had to die to reveal life after death. He had to die to be born again. Jesus did not come from His mother’s womb the second time, but from the ‘womb of Adam’ — the ground. The Resurrection of our Lord was Him being reborn. The Spirit of God escaped death as Jesus gave up the Ghost. God still lived through it all! As such, the Ghost of Jesus was the quickening Spirit that God breathed into the Man, Jesus, to Regenerate Him as He was re-erected — Resurrected. His so-called bruised cup was repaired and again held the Spirit of God.

Are you in search of the silver chalice? Look no further. Solomon called it the ‘golden bowl’ — “Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain” (Ecc 12:6). The ‘silver cord’ is life itself. I believe Solomon saw the death of Jesus and that His ‘Cup’ was the “golden bowl’ and the Holy Ghost that left Him was the ‘broken pitcher.” Jesus was the ‘silver chalice’ Himself. We are looking for silver, but Jesus was nothing less than gold as the gifts to Him revealed.

The Resurrection fixed Adam, His “silver cord” (genetics) was taken care of by the reunion of the pitcher (the Living Water emanating from God, the Father) to the golden bowl (God, the Son). The Resurrection of Jesus made so many things that were wrong, right again, and because Adam was resurrected when Jesus paid for his sins long past, we too can be resurrected if we believe the Covenant of Grace.

I left part of the Edenic Covenant incomplete. Truly, the head of Jesus was bruised, even covered by thorns, but the head of the Serpent was crushed when Jesus’s heel was bruised; Judas with Satan in him perished, perhaps that same day, and indeed the heel of Jesus was surely bruised as he stood for hours on Calvary — the ‘footstool’ of God. That member is called the “suppedaneum” (the underfoot piece). and it would have wreaked havoc on the heel and metatarsal bones of the feet of Jesus.

In summary, the crucifixion of Jesus finished the Edenic Covenant and all those in between. In the Books of Adam and Eve, Adam was promised redemption in 5-1/2 days, or 5500 years, as God explained to him. Adam was redeemed by the propitiation of blood of Jesus for all past sins, and the cross glorified Adam and made him upright again. Then Adam arose with his Savior and the first and last Adam were reunited. So, it can be for all those who believe as well. Be patient’ those quickened by Christ will indeed arise again!

Jesus, unlike the picture, did not ascend alone!

 

 

 

 

THE IMAGE OF ELIJAH

Yesterday, in my commentary, I short-changed John the Baptist. I stole the very identity of John. Just as we come short of the glory of God, I made John come short of the glory of Elijah. I did not take the Word of Jesus literally, at least in the Greek.

There is a thin line between reincarnation and resurrection. The former is “rebirth in new bodies or forms of life” (Merriam-Webster 2023).

Incarnate means literally, “made flesh,” and thusly, Jesus is God incarnate. Reincarnation would mean “made back in the flesh,” implying that the putting on of the flesh repeats itself. In some religions, thousands of repetitions result in karma when the person gets it right. Good karma must replace bad karma for the being to be perfected. Hence, reincarnation is mostly considered to be by the works of a person.

On the other hand, resurrection is the raising from the dead (ibid) and what was once alive but died is regenerated back to life in the same gens, or “kind” of flesh.  

Whereas eastern religions believe that souls come back in different kinds of flesh (reincarnation), Judeo-Christianity believes that the original genned flesh is regenned again, or ‘regenerated.’ Most importantly is that in reincarnation it is the person who makes the improvement with karma, and in Christianity, it is God who shares His ‘Virtue’ dynamically, as it means, to even change the nature, or genetics, of the person. Hence, ‘resurrection’ is a change in the innermost man — the soul — performed by God, then the flesh changed to complement the soul… overlaid it its image.

In Judeo-Christianity, mankind is helpless to change who he is because it is genetic. The ‘lost’ (brutish sinners) can only depend on God to find themselves worthy of transformation. Except for Jesus whose Soul is the Spirit of God, everyone else must be vitalized; not revitalized, because the lost never had divine mortality.

That Jesus was innocent of any fault ever makes His Resurrection the prototypical one. Just like Adam, God put Divine Flesh on Jesus. “The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit” (1 Cor 15:45). ‘Living soul’ could have been translated vital breath… God providing the vitality.

Jesus as the “quickening Spirit” points toward Him as the One who provided the Vital Breath to make the first Adam alive.

Living souls were created by God, or as it is written, Jesus Himself (John 1:1-14). Man’s kind were created in the Image of God. That ‘Image’ comes from the Hebrew ‘Selem,’ meaning a ‘shadow’ or ‘phantom’ (Strong 2006). It seems that the soul of man was created before the foundation, or material things, of the world.

Speaking of Jesus, Paul wrote, “He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.” (Ephes 1:4).

The ‘chosen’ are not just some human beings, but all our kind. God could have chosen any of the other kinds of creatures, but man (Adam’s kind) were the ones blessed with life.

How is that known? God had said in the beginning, “Let us make man in our Image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth” (Gen 1:26).

The Image in the first stage of generation was a ‘shadow’ or ‘fragment’ of the material person, just as in Plato’s Allegory of the Cave, only this ‘shadow’ was the Shadow of God whose Presence would not be seen for thousands of years. God chose only man to be His Image, not other kinds!

The second phase of ‘Project Mankind’ was adding to the shadow fragment another substance — Adam’s soul was covered with flesh made from the ground (adam), and not by coincidence mankind — Adam’s kind — have the same components in the same proportions as the substances of the Earth.

Mankind is the ‘ground,’ or ‘Adam.” The ground is who we are on the surface, but within the core of that surface lies a vital and dynamic force that originally contained the Spirit of God, but has now been mutated with the non-vital force of the ‘image’ of Lucifer (nahas in the Hebrew.) That ‘Nahas’ is a different nature, rather than goodness it is cunning (subtility).

Regeneration is of two parts: (1) Regen the soul in rebirth; be ‘born again’ (John 3:7), or engendered from above, and (2) resurrected; restoration of the flesh when Jesus comes again (1 Thes 4:16).

There are at least four ‘resurrections,’ remembering that the grand finale of each was raising a still alive soul from death with its vitality intact. In other words, the soul never dies.  It is always there to either always perish (wither) or to always be alive in a physical sense.

Lazarus was resurrected during the ministry of Jesus, Jesus was Resurrected soon after He suffered death, noting that His Spirit never died. Those saints of days past were resurrected along with Jesus, and the ‘General Resuurection’ is when both the remainder of the Saints and the living are changed from corruptible to incorruptible flesh. So as the Sun, Moon, and stars, “So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption…” (1 Cor 15:42).

That background was necessary to understand just who John was! Translated that he was a ‘messenger’ is perhaps an understatement.

In the Greek, John the Baptist was an ‘angelos’ in the actual words of Jesus, and “more than a prophet” (Mat 11:9).

A prophet merely brings the message and in general is an ‘angel.’ Jesus said that John was more than a prophet… more than just a conductor of the message; he was an ‘angel of Elijah’ like an ‘angel of God’ in the Old Testament.

Jesus finally said it out loud for all to understand: 

¹³ For all the prophets and the Law prophesied until John. ¹⁴ And if you will receive it, this is Elias (Elijah), which was for to come. (Mat 11:13-14)

 I did not receive the understanding of it yesterday! Neither did you, and almost nobody received it! Jesus literally said, “Autos esti Elias.”

Autos, ‘this baffling wind’ or spirit, ‘esti’ (exists) Elias (Elijah). John was more than a man who was a prophet; John was the spirit of Elijah.

Elijah was not reincarnated as John, but Elias finally experienced death because he never had before, being caught up (raptured) to heaven in a whirlwind (2 Kings 2:1). It seems that Elijah (Elias) was returned in a whirlwind as well; that ‘baffling wind.’

Some time passes, and John is beheaded because of his righteousness. He withstood the final test as laid out in the Book of Revelation. John was beheaded rather than to deny Christ… “beheaded for the witness of Jesus,” as it says (Rev 20:4).

Moses and Elias were at the transfiguration of Jesus. God brought Moses to this world to finally see the Face of God — Jesus. Perhaps Moses came only in Spirit or perhaps he was resurrected for the occasion. If John was the spirit of Elijah, then Elijah would have been resurrected as well.

The spirit of Elijah would have been transported to this world in the womb of Elizabeth. In her womb was an intelligent being, to wit:

⁴¹ And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe (John) leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: ⁴² And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. ⁴³ And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?” ⁴⁴ For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.” (Luke 1:41-44)

John knew Jesus even in his ‘vehicle’ from another world. Elijah was taken to the heavens in a ‘chariot of fire’ (2 Kings 2:11), now he was returning as a Spirit, as with a “rushing mighty wind,” appearing unto them as “cloven tongues as of fire.” (Acts 2:2-3).

Elijah was taken to Heaven by the Holy Ghost and surely returned in the same manner. The womb of Elizabeth was no more than a ‘chariot’ or other vehicle that God provided to transport Elijah back to continue the Law and the prophecy as Jesus said (Mat 11:14 above).

Elijah (Eliya) consists of two Hebrew words, ‘El’ and ‘Ya.’ — ‘God-like Lord,’ not God, but like God.

John, if not Elijah, was God-like, or innocent of all wrong. John never sinned because he was not human; he was angelic.

Scripture is specific about Elijah the Tishbite. His origin means ‘recourse,’ implying that once there was a ‘course’ and someday there would be another course.

The birthplace of John is believed to be Ein Kerem, meaning the ‘spring of the vineyard’ (Wikipedia 2023). It is believed that the word Tishbite means ‘temporary dweller’ (ibid), pointing toward Elijah who would live somewhere else permanently. He dwells in Paradise and Ein Karem is in the bounds of what Jews consider ‘Paradise’ — Zion in Jerusalem, the location of Ein Kerem.

Names mean things in scripture; look at about any name and there is a purpose, method, or place in the name, as Elijah means ‘As the Lord God,’ so was John the Baptist.

Both the preponderance of the evidence and the Word of Jesus point toward John as the resurrected Elijah. They first killed one angel of God, then ‘THE ANGEL OF GOD’ — Jesus.

That is not to be said that either Elijah, nor John, were angels, but were of the same spirit, made a little lower than the angels in heaven, like Jesus.

Yes, all of Adam’s kind were elected, neither the other kinds, nor even angels: 

⁴ What is man, that you are mindful of him? and the Son of Man, that You visit Him? ⁵ For you have made him a little lower than the angels, and have crowned him with glory and honour. ⁶ You made him to have dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet… (Psalm 8:4-6)

 God could have chosen one of the other animals to provide for them souls. He chose man. He could have chosen angels to have glorious flesh, but He chose Adam’s kind!

Just as Jesus was the ‘Son of God’ and the ‘son of David’ John was the ‘son of Elijah’ genetically speaking.

 Jesus was of the Image of God (Selem) and the image of David (Nahas), and both were in His Genome because He became sin for us. The Spirit, or Ghost, of Jesus was like God, and His flesh like David’s through the mitochondrial DNA of Mary that would have been delivered only through her genes.

John was of much the same substance, if my thoughts ring true; he was of the spirit of Elijah and the flesh of Elizabeth who carried the genes of Elijah from heaven to this world.

Note that just as Elijah was only God-like, he was certainly not God; and that John, although Elijah-like, he was still John, the son of Elizaeth who was only genetically like Elijah.

Just as Jesus was the genetic image of Yahweh and Mary, John would have been the genetic image of both Elijah and Elizabeth.

WHO JOHN WAS AND WAS NOT

There are so much in scripture that is glossed over; even things that Jesus said. Today, we will look at what Matthew wrote about what Jesus said about his cousin, John, called “The Baptist.”

⁹ But what went you out for to see? A prophet? yes, I say unto you, “and more than a prophet.¹⁰ For this is he, of whom it is written, ‘Behold, I send my messenger before your face, which shall prepare your way before you.’ ¹¹ Verily I say unto you, ‘Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.’” (Mat 11:9-11)

 Jesus asked if they thought that John was a prophet. John wrote about what John said of himself. The conversation went like this: 

¹⁹ And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?

²⁰ And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, “I am not the Christ.”

 ²¹ And they asked him, “What then?”

“Are you Elias?” And he saith, “I am not.”

“Are you that prophet?” And he answered, “No.”

 ²² Then said they unto him, “Who are you? that we may give an answer to them that sent us.”

“What say you of yourself?” (John 1:19-22)

 John was being interrogated by the priests and Levites. There had been many men who had claimed to be the Messiah. Perhaps they thought John was just another crazy man, making that claim. In fact, a schizophrenic person often suffers delusions of grandeur. John dispelled that rumor.

There were always those in scripture who would try to make a name for themselves. Most notable were those in the days of Noah and soon after when those who built the tower of Babylon did so for that very reason.

John was John… a man of no high self-estimation. He was not there to make a name for himself but to spread the good news about Jesus, “He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose” (John 1:27).

John was meek. He was not suffering from low self-esteem but high Christ-esteem. He was saying, I do not measure up to Jesus, so please make no comparison! John’s estimation of himself was true. He had a realistic viewpoint of himself.

He would be the ‘groom,’ cleansing the flesh with baptism, but when the real ‘Groom’ came, he would wash with Holy Water that flowed from Himself — ‘Living Water.’

John was a revelator like the other John; he was saying that water baptism is the preparation of the flesh for the real Baptism of the Holy Ghost — the one baptism… “One Lord, one faith, one baptism…” (Ephes 4:5). He was not the Lord, he was not the one in whom to have faith, and his was not the efficacious baptism!

Who was John, then? Not “Elias (Elijah). He was in heaven, residing in another realm. A whirlwind took him there. The Jews had thought that Elijah had returned, but John was not even Elijah. No, Elijah failed the test of a ‘prophet.’ Just what is a prophet?

A prophet (prophetes) is a spokesman, or mouthpiece of God. There had been many prophets, but now Jesus would speak for Himself.

According to the other John, the Word had become flesh, and that person was not John the Baptist! Jesus would speak for Himself, and John would merely prepare for Him the Way (Mat 11:10). Hence, Jesus said that John was a ‘messenger’ (angelos), whose root word (ago) means “to lead the way.”

John was sent to world to direct people toward Jesus. Zacharias was a priest and his wife, Elizabeth, a ‘daughter’ of the high priest Aaron in the sense that she was his progeny.

Like Sarai long before, Elizabeth was barren. She perhaps had no reproductive organs or at least no ova. A woman is usually born with all the eggs (follicles) that she would ever have. God had a plan for her! She would, at a minimum, have no eggs to make children.

Speaking, apparently of the future, in the days of King Jehoiakim, the Word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah. “Before I formed you in the belly I knew you; and before you came forth out of the womb, I sanctified you, and I ordained you a prophet unto the nations” (Jer 1:7).

God knew Jeremiah before he was formed in the womb. He would be the spokesman who would call the Jews to return to God.

Could it be that the Word was also foretelling the coming of John the Baptist as well? He often used present events to foreshadow future events.

Of course, John was not Jeremiah; he was dead. However, he was an antitype of Jeremiah.

God knew John before John was formed in the womb and the fact that Elizabeth was barren meant that God Himself placed John in the ‘vessel’ of Elizabeth. She was merely a surrogate who carried, not the genes of Zachariah, but the very Genes of God. He was not the Word, as John wrote of Jesus, but the ‘conductor’ of the Word, and as an angelos, John was a messenger from the invisible realm.

John was born of the Spirit of God and needed no baptism because he had received the Holy Spirit while he was still in the womb of Elizabeth.

John, like Samson long before, was born a Nazarite, being clean from the moment of birth. He was washed in the Spirit, so John would not be baptized in water. His own cleansing was the ‘one baptism’ and it was of the Holy Spirit from the ‘One Lord’ which was not himself.

In that John was conceived in the same manner as Isaac, makes him an antitype of Isaac as well. In fact, John was the antitype of many of the patriarchs; from Noah, to Abraham, to Isaac, to Jacob, and onward, including Jeremiah. True prophets are ‘angels’ in the sense that each were born for a certain purpose, and all the prophets were to point people toward the Messiah (the Christ).

Jesus validated that John was the ‘conductor’ to Himself and a prophet when He said that John “shall prepare your way before you.”

John’s way was the cleansing of the flesh to prepare for the cleansing of the soul. Washing with water was in preparation for the reception of the Holy Spirit.

This is important; John only washed with water to make the flesh presentable. Jesus cleansed the inward person. John’s was only with moving water in the Jordan; Jesus washed with Living Water from His own belly!

The Way of Jesus was spelled out to the woman at the well who was after the deep water, Jesus said to her, “If thou knew the gift of God, and who it is that says to you, ‘Give me to drink; you would have asked of Him, and He would have given to you living water” (John 4:10), of course from the belly of Jesus (John 7:38).

“Belly’ (koilia) therein is the lower womb. Jesus was polite. He would imbue Christians with Hise Divine ‘Semen,’ not by coitus, but by His Spirit. He would reproduce His Image to mankind in the same manner that the Father (The Lord God) had done with Adam.

God breathed on Adam and that Divine Breath entered Adam via his “nostrils” or literally his forehead. Hence, rebirth (“born again;” John 3:7) is not sexual in nature but of the mind. No wonder that sinners must be persuaded to become Christians.

Hence, since our thoughts are not God’s Thoughts, (Isa 55:8), then the seed of God is planted by His Thoughts becoming our thoughts. If your thoughts are not the Thoughts of God, then you have not been engendered from the LORD GOD above. Therefore, falling away is when our early Thoughts of God to whom we have affection, gradually lose affection, and the adopted child of God defects (apostasia) just like with any youngster seeks emancipation from the authority of his or her progenitor.

There were some important points made by Jesus and I hope by me as well: 

1.      Water baptism is only for preparation.

2.      Water baptism cleanses the flesh alone.

3.      Spiritual ‘baptism’ is by the Holy Ghost of Jesus.

4.      Rebirth is not of water but of the Spirit.

5.      John was not the Christ but a pointer to the Way of Christ.

6.      Jesus alone can engender. John could only cleanse the ‘vessel.’

7.      John was meek but Jesus is meeker.

8.      John has no power to change, but Jesus has that Power in His Spirit.

9.      John was born of the Spirit; Jesus was the Spirit in the genetics of John.

10.  Jesus is the Word that came before John. John was the mouthpiece who called mankind to the Word. That Jesus was before him may mean that Jesus was in him.

11.  Jesus is Truth; John pointed the way to find the truth.

12.  John was not ‘born again’ but born once in the Spirit from his mother’s womb.

13.  John was a peculiar and chosen vessel from long ago to introduce the Word.

14.  The Word was the ‘vessel’ that carried the Genes of God.

15.  And even much more if you think about it; for instance, John was a ‘Nazarite,’ but Jesus a ‘Nazarene.’ A Nazarene to this day in the Holy Land means ‘Christian.’ John was a Nazarite who would remain clean even as he was born. He was not shaped in iniquity like David (Psalm 51:5). Jesus was the Nazarene (Nazoraios) — ‘the guarded One,’ ostensibly guarded by the Father and all the prophets.

THE REAL IMMACULATE BIRTH

 Matthew, after relating the “supposed” genealogy of Jesus then revealed his true identity:

Key Verse: Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. (Mat 1:18)

 Catholics believe in the immaculate conception of Mary; that she was without sin. It was Jesus who had had no stain or blemish. Speaking of the inefficacy of material things for redemption, Peter wrote about Jesus, “But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot” (1Pet 1:19).

Every offering in the Book of Leviticus required offerings without blemish and the first of the flock. Mary, therefore, was not the offering but it was Jesus who was “immaculate”  and without stain or blemish. Not only was his flesh unmarred but so was His Spirit. Paul wrote to the Hebrews of Christ who “was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin” (Heb 4:15).

Why the genealogy of Jesus? Because neither Joseph nor Mary (blood relatives) were without sin, “for all men have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Rom 3:23). That inborn sin is “iniquity” (Psalm 51:5). David wrote in that song that he was born in iniquity; that he was born depraved.

The genealogy of Joseph, not the father of Jesus, was not something to be proud of but generations of degeneration. How Adam, as glorious as Father God, had degenerated to the time of Jesus to show that even the supposed parents of Jesus were sinners as well, and that as pure as they may be, were still sinners who required salvation.

John got it right. The genealogy of Jesus, as I wrote before, was directly from God to Him, to wit:

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)

 The “Word” is pre-incarnate Jesus, the Spirit that had the bodily shape of Jesus (Luke 3:22). The Word became incarnate first.

Mary was the surrogate wherein God put His seed by breathing life into her, and after a period of gestation, the man (or last Adam) Jesus was born. Mary was fertile for she had other sons.

Catholics believe that she was so immaculate that the brothers of Jesus are said by them to be cousins, obviously to protect the immaculateness of Mary. Any number of lies do not make one truth; it was Jesus who was immaculate, not Mary.

The genealogy is there to show that Mary and Joseph had inherited sin from Adam; it was in their genes. Forget the notion that Mary is the “mother of God” because even Jesus denied that (Mat 12:48; Mark 3:33). Mary was no more than a fairly clean “incubator” who was the vessel for Jesus to transmigrate from the heavenly realm to this world. Mary was as much an “ark” as Noah’s or even the Ark of God whereon the Spirit of Jesus was carried by unclean Hebrews.

Praying to Mary (Marianism) – venerating Mary — is idolatry because there is only one God. Praying to Mary is as futile as praying before the empty Ark of the Covenant when God was not even on it!

Praying to Mary is a celebration of sin because Mary had sin in her genome, not willful sin but the genetic sin that she could not possibly overcome; we know that because she was shown to be of Adam and all the other sinners who came before her.

Jesus was in a literal sense molded in the womb of Mary. The material that God provided in His Seed generated flesh for Himself.

According to Luke, an angel told Mary, “The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the ‘Son of God’” (Luke 1:35). The Holy Ghost is to be feared because of His Purity is the “Pneuma” of God. It was not Mary that was pure but God who was Holy!

The Greek word “pneuma” comes from the root word pneo – “a blast of air”  (Strong 1890), not that the Holy Ghost is a blast of air, but like in the Book of Acts, “as a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting... and it sat upon each of them” (Acts 2:2-3).

Mary would have sensed the Presence of God, not in her but over her. There was no carnality involved, so unlike David, the “son of David” was not “shapen in iniquity” because there was no carnality involved. Jesus was formed in the same manner as Adam: “The Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” (Gen 2:7).

The bodily shape of the Spirit of God would have overshadowed Mary.

With Adam, there was a process. His soul was created first… before the foundation of the world, “God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them” (Gen 1:27).

What was the “image” of God? I always got this wrong; that it was flesh like Jesus. Not so! “Selem” as an “image
 means “empty” which comes from the word, tselem, an unused root meaning “to shade; a phantom” (ibid).

In the process of God, Adam’s “phantom” was formed first — his soul, then in the second process his flesh was molded, then life, that which was formed before as a soul, was breathed unto the flesh of Adam (chapter two).

John wrote of the pre-existence of Jesus as the Word. The soul of Jesus was never created. John wrote, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1). Compare that, with Gen 1:1 “In the beginning God created…” that says Jesus is God and was before the creation.

Indeed, Peter speaking of Christ, “Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you” (1 Pet 1:20). Why was Jesus made visible with flesh (manifested)? “That they may behold my glory, which thou hast given Me: for thou lovedst Me before the foundation of the world” (John 17:24).

Jesus, as the Word before He was made flesh, was glorious, and He was manifested for mankind to behold His glory. His glory was not in His flesh but in His Spirit (Pneuma). Spirit cannot be seen by unwilling eyes so Jesus received flesh so that sinful man could see the pure Spirit that was within Him.

Adam, before the foundation of the world was made glorious as well. It seems that the world, literally the cosmos, was made before Adam and described in chapter one of Genesis.

I have written before of two creations — Paradise in heaven in chapter one and Paradise on Earth in chapter two. Genesis 1:1 also implies that — God created the “heaven and the earth” the other realm (in chapter one) and this cosmos (in chapter two). Paradise in heaven was “very good” (Gen 1:31) (meod tob) — exceedingly or forcefully beneficial, perhaps glorious.

There were not two creations for Adam (both of them) was the only creature who was created, but it seems that his soul (phantom) was created first, then his body made of material.

In other words, the flesh of Adam was the vessel in which God breathed unto him life, or the Spirit of Himself whose image was the soul of Adam before he had flesh. The life that God breathed unto Adam was animation. He was not just a vessel but a being that existed with movement according to his own faculty of the will.

The ancients describe the soul as the inner man that is a sort of invisible flesh with the same shape. It has the bodily shape of the person but is of a different substance. God filled that “Adam” with His Spirit, then made shaped clay around the soul for a physical image.

Jesus, on the other hand, always existed as a “phantom” so to speak — as an invisible glorious being that clouded eyes could not see. Perhaps God molded Jesus in the womb of Mary because gestation is indeed a molding process wherein, according to Arnold Giselle, all the systems, including the personality, are molded in synchronicity to develop an infant ready to endure the world.

God made for Jesus a vessel (Jesus called that vessel His “cup”), obviously the Holy Grail that would contain His Living Waters, or Holy Spirit.

The vessel of Jesus was filled at His baptism. John baptized John  with water but at the same time, God the Father baptized Jesus with Living Water, “The Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, ‘Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased’” (Luke 3:22). The Holy Ghost was the shape of the man, Jesus, and not the shape of a dove. The dove was the dynamics of God’s virtue (dynamis).

Mary transported the Seed of God which was molded and made the “vessel,” and then God filled the vessel from the “oven” of Mary with His Holy Spirit.

The son of man, Jesus, stood there after the ritual cleansing of His flesh (baptism) to prepare it for filling, then God entered in Spirit the vessel that He had prepared.

With Jesus, God reversed the order of Adam’s creation; He made the vessel then filled it, whereas with Adam, He made the filling then put it in a material vessel. The reason being is that the flesh of Jesus was borne here by God, and then He filled the body of Jesus with the “bodily shape” of the Holy Spirit (Pneuma, Wind) that was Himself!

The Holy Ghost that filled the flesh of Jesus was in bodily shape. That would perhaps be the Soul of Jesus, containing the Spirit of God, that looked just like Jesus in the flesh but was a phantom of sorts that Luke could actually see.

The Holy Spirit is omnipresent because God is not confined to one place at one time. Hence, the Spirit of God was the invisible image that flowed as Living Water into Jesus. Perhaps, the Spiritual Substance of God entered Jesus via His nostrils just as it did with Adam. Of course, nostrils may just be figurative; better said is “countenance” (ibid).

Adam did not breath or do anything to be created. God just came to Adam and gave Him a righteous countenance, glorious like His own. God did the breathing then and He does now. We cannot regenerate ourselves any more than Adam generated himself.

Eve was beguiled a second time soon after the first: Upon the birth of Cain, she said, “I have gotten a man” (Gen 4:1). No, she had not because she was not the LORD GOD! Only God can breath life and Eve certainly could not!

Note that God also breathed life unto the body of Jesus after His vessel was cleansed. It was not the water that breathed the Spirit of the Father into Jesus, but God did so Himself.

Never give water the efficacy of God as that would grieve the Holy Spirit and be blasphemy (Mat 12:31).

The Substance of God entered the body of Jesus and that “Substance” was a Spirit that flowed into the body of Jesus and changed his earthly countenance to glorious, having the Glory of God within Him.

The Glory of God is the original image of God that God breathed unto Adam. Sin removed the Glory of God and displaced it with the guile of Lucifer, who beguiled Eve. That bewitchment, I believe, was passed down to men and women via the mitochondrial DNA of women, thus, the declaration that Eve is the “mother of all living” (Gen 3:20).

Jesus would have the mitochondrial DNA of Mary because she nourished Him and was the raw material for His flesh. On the other hand, since Joseph was not a parent, only God the Father, then Jesus would have only the YY-DNA, as I apostatized in my book, On the Origin if the Universe and Man.

In the figure #2 below is a representation of the normal DNA of a man compared to the DNA (figure #2) from the blood that Ron Wyatt claimed to be Jesus.

Jesus was, therefore, not just born of a woman but fulfilled at His baptism wherein only on Himself did the Holy Ghost remain (John 1:33). For the others who John  baptized, it was not for reception of the Holy Ghost, but for “repentance for the remission of sins” (Mark 1:4) — to clean the vessel in preparation for a filling that occurred at the coming of the Holy Ghost (Acts 2). The “one baptism” (Ephes 4:5) that has efficacy is not baptism with water but with the Living Water from the belly of Jesus when it flowed at the crucifixion.

Note that the blood was a “propitiation” for “sins that are past” — iniquity or original sin that came by means of genealogy (Rom 3:25).

Jesus fulfilling the Law was fulfilling the germline of Abraham of which Matthew wrote. It would no longer be by Abraham’s bosom but by the blood from the Bosom of Jesus. But it was by “blood and water.”

At the crucifixion, “One of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water” (John 19:34); not just the blood of Jesus, but the “Living Water” that the soldier saw. He saw Jesus give up the Ghost; he saw the bodily shape of Jesus in Spiritual Substance leave the belly of Jesus, as He made the ultimate sacrifice for the regeneration of all of Adam’s kind.

¹² But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: ¹³ Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:12-13)

 Sons of God are not so much the direct offspring as the gens of God, but in the Greek “technon” — offspring that are vindicated, as the root word means (ibid). Those who receive Christ are sons of God in the same manner as Jesus is the son of David.

Jesus was not directly the son of David, but through Mary, had the gens of David — a clan with the same male progenitor. That Jesus was the son of David and was heir to the throne of David meant little. That He is the son of God means much because He is not just king but King of Kings.

Receiving Jesus is a change in countenance just as Adam received the countenance of God when God breathed His Spirit into the man and glorified Adam. Glorification is literally forcefully excellent.

Force implies power. Jesus induced power to those who receive Him. Jesus lost virtue to those who received Him. About the woman who touched the garment of Jesus, He remarked, “Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me” (Luke 8:46). The woman received Jesus and the power of Jesus was transferred from Him to her and changed the blood issue.

Virtue is dynamis in the Greek (dynamics). Dynamics is the transfer of energy from one place to another. The “carpenter” Jesus was so much more than a carpenter, but a tekton. The “Tekton” shared his power with the woman, and she became a technon, or the offspring of God.

Those who receive Jesus are “children” in the sense that they share the attributes of the father.  Just as Jesus looked like a man but was God inside, Christians are still humans outwardly but like Christ inwardly. Receiving Christ is obtaining His countenance, but not by your own devices but by grace.

Grace is a countenance, is it not? “By grace (charis) are ye saved through faith” (Ephes 2:8). Charis is by divine influence and is not of yourselves, as scripture indicates in that same passage. It is by the dynamics of God sharing His virtue.

Born again, is literally “engendered from above” but that is more than receiving the genes of God; like Adam, it is taking on the countenance of God.

How to know if you have been born again? Your countenance should have changed — your phantasmal form… your Spirit within your soul. As such, those who receive Christ have Christ within; not the man Jesus but the Holy Ghost of the man who died so that you need not.

“He that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation” (Mark 3:29). Receiving Jesus, since we can no longer touch his garment, is simpler; He touches us! We need not do anything but reach out, and His invisible “garment” transfers virtue, and with that the Holy Ghost of Jesus is the Spirit of Jesus within the Christian. To reject the Ghost of Jesus is rejecting the person Jesus.

Engendering is not so much the genealogy of Jesus but His countenance. Anyone can procreate by the transmission of genes, but Jesus engenders those who He adopts with His likeness, to wit:

⁴ He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, ⁵ having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will. (Ephes 1:4-5)

 So, for now, Christians retain their flesh, but are regenned at the rapture when Jesus changes the flesh of the righteous and makes it incorruptible for those who have endured to the end. Endurance are not works but maintaining the faith. Born again is not with new genetics but new countenances.

Whereas natural offspring cannot, the adopted can reject their new parents.

A parent is one who nourishes. The legal process forces children into adoption, but by grace, Jesus makes it a choice. To be a child of God requires the sinner to reach out, and then the virtue in the form of love is received. The virtue is always there to be taken, but it cannot be had without the person reaching out to receive it. The reach is not by motile means but by faith… this man is who He says He is and that is God. It is mental work (katergazomai) and not ergo work.

“Election” is not a contest for who runs the race for all run. God has chosen us (Adam’s kind) before the foundation of the world (kosmos) to be holy. That was done when Adam was created holy and in the image of God.

He did not choose any of the other kinds, but our kind. Adam was elected; Adam is a species and not the person. Humans (humane beings) were chosen to be loving and it was us, not the other animals, that were to be sons of God like Adam. Some apply that to individuals, but Adam was more than one person, but the entire population of the Garden of Eden.

Now let us return to the key verse: “She (Mary) was found with child of the Holy Ghost.” She was not pregnant; then she was! Joseph was not part of it, only God and Mary. The Holy Ghost overshadowed Mary and Jesus appeared right then in her clean and vacant womb. Jesus was not created in the sense of any other baby, but pre-existed in one realm, then appeared in this realm.

Jesus transmigrated spiritually from one realm in heaven to another realm on Earth as if it was the same place. With that said, the Christ is still with us in the substance of His Holy Ghost, thus He is indeed “Emanuel” — God With Us.

Jesus was engendered by God to be a mate to the genome of Mary. Thus, Jesus was both the “son of man” through Mary and the “son of God” through the virtuous power of the Holy Ghost. The latter is the Substance of the Father Himself, therefore, Jesus is of three substances: the Father, the man Son, and the Holy Ghost, in that the Spirit of the Father came into Mary.

God is not complicated, but He is mysterious. How He does it is miraculous but what He did was so simple. He was born to die so that you need not. That God in three substances was on the Cross was the perfect sacrifice for all our sins.

Death is commonplace now. When someone dies unexpectedly, it is just another one of many tragedies. However, when Jesus died, it was not a tragedy but a sacrifice that we should appreciate. To deny that God in three substances died on the Cross is taking the Name (“Jesus”) of God in vain!

Death is indeed common, and everyone will die a physical death. We cannot skip that part, but we can omit dying forever. The flesh dies but the soul never does. It lives in one of two places: torments or heaven, and it is our choice to reach out for Jesus or not.

 

 

 

 

JESUS: THE SON OF ABRAHAM

Continuing in the Book of Matthew, so and so begat so and so, commencing with Abraham to the Diaspora, to David, and then from David to Jesus.

The word, “begat” is from the Greek, “gennao” whose root is “genos” or “genus” in English. Genus is a taxonomical classification in between family and species.

Species are individual creatures that can interbreed whereas a family are those with a common ancestor. So, a genus is a group that are of one family but technically should not breed one with the other, thus incest is forbidden by God because it is unnatural.

As such, those from Abraham to Jesus were of the same family of the species and were so closely related that their genes remained pure, not engaging in parent-child intercourse. Jesus was what we call now, “pure-blooded” — He was a Hebrew in his paternal genome. Jesus had to be pure-blooded to be pure, and also to be the son of David.

Luke added the genealogy of Jesus from His supposed father, Joseph back to God through Adam. Luke indicated that Jesus was pure-bred to God through Adam’s kind.

Note that Jesus was without guile. His mother was not Mary who carried the mitochondrial DNA of Eve, the “mother of all living.” Mary was not His mother… and Jesus verified that (Mat 12:47-49). Mary was the “vessel” that God chose to transport Himself from one realm to another.

Eve was beguiled; Jesus was not, so Eve was not the mother of God at all.

John got it right; Jesus was the Son of God and had no mother. His genome fit the genome of Melchizedek, “Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually” (Heb 7:3). “Made like” in that verse is “aphomoioo” — a model image of the Son of God — Jesus.

On the other hand, John gave the lineage of Jesus without the begatting. All those of that genus were supposed ancestors of Joseph and hence the genealogy of Jesus through Joseph was insignificant. However, they do point toward Jesus as the supposed rightful king of Judea as the supposed gens of David.

Matthew 1:1 says, “The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.”

“Son of David” is just “yhios,” meaning “descendant” whereas in the Hebrew Jesus was the “ben” of God, meaning family. Therefore, yhios would mean that Jesus is of the family of both Abraham and David, thus fulfilling the Abrahamic Covenant — “To make Abraham the father of many nations and of many descendants and give "the whole land of Canaan" to his descendants” (Wikipedia; Gen 17:2-9).

David owned that land of Canaan at one time; all the way from Egypt to the Euphrates River — the “fertile crescent” which is perhaps the “bow” that Noah saw as he looked toward that land in the western horizon from the headwaters of the Euphrates.

That land was the “promised land” and Abraham was king of the promise. He resided in the promised land (Canaan) and was a king according to the Book of Jasher, but his “land” was in the realm of heaven.

Jesus was both heir to the land and the promise, “My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence” (John 18:36), Jesus said.  His kingdom was the kingdom of Abraham which Luke called “Abraham’s Bosom” (Luke 16:22).

Jesus denied the landed kingdom at the crucifixion, but claimed the throne of Abraham who in death was king pro tem (the time being before the crucifixion) of the invisible kingdom where Jesus now reigns.

So, now, if nothing else, the reader should have learned that Abraham’s Bosom is the Kingdom of God in Paradise, but it was only until the time of Jesus’s reign. Those who died before rested in Abraham’s Bosom because he was king of the Promised Land in another realm.

As the son of Abraham and the son of David, Jesus had rights to both kingdoms, but rejected to be a king in this world, preferring to be a servant to mankind in this realm.

That brings us to the conclusion of Matthew’s genealogy of Joseph because Jews always kept their genealogy. It was a very necessary thing to show that they were sons of Abraham and of David.

Most fit the son of Abraham quite well because they were Hebrews. However, only a small fraction were sons of David, and as one of the few through Joseph, Jesus would be heir to the throne of Judea which was without a king during the maturity of Jesus.

That Jesus was the son of David was not significant to Jesus but that He was the son of Abraham would be because Abraham’s kingdom was not of this world. He was rightful heir, and now Christians lie in the Bosom of Christ, and Abraham has fulfilled his purpose — to reign over Paradise until the real King reigned.

The son (ben) of Abraham and Sarah was supposedly Isaac. I have written before that since Sarah was barren and surely by then, Abraham was impotent (she laughed), then Isaac was the son of God and without a mother, just like Jesus as Melchizedek. Not that Isaac was another Jesus but a “placeholder” until Jesus was born, thus as Paul wrote, “He is a Jew, which is one inwardly” with a circumcised heart (Rom 2:29).

A ”Jew” is a native son of Judea whereas a Hebrew is of the family or gens of Abraham, the Hebrew, with incorruptible flesh. Thus, they were peculiar people because God chose them (Deut 14:2), and because Christians are inwardly Jews, they too are God’s chosen and peculiar people (1 Pet 2:9) having the gens of Jesus induced when they are born again (John 3:7).

That means that Jesus the Christ was a chosen and a very peculiar person; one that could raise the dead, walk on water, and share His virtue with all the world! He was a Hebrew outwardly but God inwardly!

So, all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations. (Mat 1:17)

 Abraham is believed to have been born ca 1800 BC and Jesus was born in 6 BC; a difference of approximately 1794 years. A biblical generation would be around 45 years. Because of uncertainty of ancient days, theologians use 40 years as one generation.

David wrote, “Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways” (Psalm 95:10). What I am getting at, from Abraham to Jesus was a sacred “generation” of 42 generations or 1794 years or so. The next sacred generation would have been about 1788 AD and the next about 3576 AD.

1788 was when the Age of Reason was nearing its climax with the French Revolution and the losing of heads because of it in the manner of John the Baptist.

Perhaps 3576 or so is the second coming of Christ, or possibly the end of His millennial reign. If so, then in 2023 AD, we are in the Age of the Antichrist, and that just happens to coincide closely with both the Age of Pisces (November 2019) and the Great Reset (June 2020) (ibid).

With that said, according to Matthew, generations has great significance in the time of God. His engendering is based on times of about forty-years so for each forty generations (about 1794 calendar years) expect some great thing happening.
