CHRISTIANITY FOR DUMMIES: Rituals vs. Righteousness

There is, ironically, a religious ritual among churches, even the evangelical ones. Evangelism is, “emphasizing salvation by faith in the atoning death of Jesus Christ through personal conversion, the authority of Scripture, and the importance of preaching as contrasted with ritual.” (Merriam-Webster 2023). Did you notice? I pointed out rituals among the non-ritualistic ‘evangelistic’ churches!

Faith is basically trusting Jesus in all things pertaining to life, and especially the afterlife. Now for the ritual of it all, especially in Baptist churches of which I am a member… going to the altar. Not that it so wrong to go, but going is not the end of it all!

Now for a side note: The ‘Church’ of the Bible is not your church; the real Church consists of those who trust Christ as presented in the gospels. It matters not whether you are a member of Baptists, Churches of Christ, Methodists, Presbyterians, Episcopalians, or even Catholics; but that you are a member of the ‘Body of Christ,’ or as I wrote before, ‘in Christ,’ or better said, ‘Christ in you.’

Christ in you are the “hope of His Glory” and the “riches” of it! [i] Hope implies a future event. ‘In Christ’ is not full of glory with its richness, but the hope of glory.

I have pointed out before that the ‘glory of God’ is the condition in which Adam was generated in the beginning. He was made, not a god, but he had God in him.

Adam’s image resembled God even in substance. Adam was a ‘fragment’ of God. That ‘fragment’ was what is now called the ‘soul.’ Adam’s soul was like God and his flesh was supernatural until the Devil got into him, and both the Adams’ fleshes were transformed into what we have today. Our flesh is of the Devil and as King David implied, the flesh is depraved [ii] and neither rich in glory, nor full of glory.

“Born again’ is a beginning just as Genesis 1:1; “In the beginning God created (generated).” He did so first by spreading the Light [iii] followed by “dividing the waters from the waters.” [iv] That was the original generation, or Genesis, of the world and the beginning of Adam — our dominant kind.

“Waters” in that passage represents ‘semen’ in the Hebrew. Of course, God is not a sexual Being, but He does reproduce.

Semen carries what? The unique identity of individuals. (Now science has revealed that our identity is encoded in a carbon-chain within every cell of our bodies.) Semen is basically cells floating in seminal fluid — in the waters.

Now, I know that genetics is not simple, but even dummies soon learn that semen makes ‘mini-me’s’ that look like me and act like me. That is from DNA.

Mankind was generated in the Image of God by the ‘semen’ of God. God shed His genetics (Genome) and Adam received them. God engendered Adam and the male spread the genes of God to the woman. The ‘Serpent’ messed with their identities and voila, here we are, like the Devil himself with just enough God in us that He values His creatures.

You must accept that! You are not God, gods, nor even children of God; you are what you are — sons of Satan who are adversaries of God and have little goodwill for Him as demonstrated by your continuance in sin.

That was the ‘Creation’ or ‘Generation.’ Rebirth (born again) is the beginning of ‘regeneration.’ It is not the complete process just as Genesis 1:1-6 was not the complete process. Born again is a new beginning, and the complete process ‘regeneration.”

Note that some doctrines want you to believe that the beginning is the ending; that once it starts it is finished without further ado; that once the process begins that it must be finished, even when Satan strives to disrupt the process just as he did in the beginning. Hence, born again begins with a ritual which will be discussed in a moment.

Jesus, speaking to the apostles, said, “That you which have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of His glory, you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel” [v]

The beginning was the twelve following Jesus. The entire process was until Jesus would be glorified — sitting on the throne in Paradise as God. The ending of the process is “in the regeneration” — when Jesus is glorified. Therefore, regeneration is a process over a given amount of time ending in glorification — with the riches of God’s Glory. That entire process is ‘regeneration,’ not some one-time event at the altar in a building.

The evangelistic ritual begins with going forward to an altar of wood. That altar is under the Cross and is part way to it. (Woten becomes the ‘god’ in that scenario).

The altar if wood is not all the way because it is just an material image.  It is not all the way because you are in a sanctuary where it is only hoped that the Devil cannot intercede. But perhaps he does, not directly, but by ritualistic practices.

Going all the Way to the Cross is following Jesus and relinquishing your own fleshly desires. “He that takes not his cross, and follows after Me, is not worthy of Me.” [vi]  Where you go after going to the altar is what counts!

Jesus was glorified upon His death. [vii] He revealed that He was the Father, the Flesh, and the Holy Ghost.

We must reveal that we have God in us as well by showing a new nature with the Holy Ghost within us Christians. ‘In Christ’ is Christ in us. With Jesus in another realm, the Holy Ghost is Christ in us because all three together is God and one alone remains God. God cannot be divided because He is more than water.

The beginning for Jesus was His virgin birth. We cannot expect to be put in a womb and suffer that same process, so our rebirth is not of the flesh but the spirit, or soul. For that occasion, the flesh — the vessel — must be washed clean. God does the cleansing by the hands of men.

Baptism by water is a preparation ritual… for “repentance for the remission of sins.” [viii] It is not for the remission of sins but to demonstrate repentance. Because our own flesh is our adversary, the flesh must be symbolically washed clean.

Many denominations have made that ritual soterial — the final solution for eternal life. It is merely God dividing the waters from the waters again. The real ‘semen’ of God is the “Living Waters” that poured forth from the belly of Jesus on the Cross, and by that, I mean the Holy Ghost, not liquids themselves.

How can one tell if he or she is a Christian? By multiplication. Jesus was the source of Living Water and He revealed the solution to the knowledge of God, “He that believeth on Me, as the scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of Living Water.” [ix]

Indeed, Christians are to reproduce, not their own children, but children of God. Just as God made the man alive with His genes in him, and the man passed them along to the woman, the same goes for regeneration. We are not to spread our flesh and its sordid DNA but the very Genetics of God by passing along the Spirit — His Invisible Image — to all who would hear.

A Christian is neither a person that is dunked in water nor a person who walks just part of the way to the Cross. A Christian is one that has “One Lord, one faith, one baptism.” [x]

The ‘One Lord’ is Jesus, the ‘one faith’ is trusting Him, and the ‘one baptism’ is by the Holy Ghost of Jesus.  Christianity is those three things for the duration, for the long haul until either you die or are taken alive!

Where does the time element enter the process because time means a ‘process.’ [xi]

Faith is the process. Faith is not the degree of trust of walking to the altar but living that trust; “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” [xii] “Trust’ is ignoring our own confused thinking and allowing God to take us where He would have us to go.

Now for the kicker… Why and where does that path go? “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” [xiii] That ‘world’ is not the sphere itself but the people on planet Earth. Trust is dependence on God to do just that!

‘Believes’ in that passage is not just for a cross-section in time but enduring trust. A person can not trust God for five minutes and then move on. The trust must be enduring to the end. [xiv]

Faith is trusting God for the duration of your physical existence. If it was put into a formula, it would be, Faith = trust / time. It is a variable and a dynamics between the Christian and God and it is from the beginning to the ending. from your rebirth to the end that culminates in glorification; that which is commonly called ‘salvation.’

Adam and Eve were innocent. God tried to make them vigilant; that although they were in the Presence of God that they remained vulnerable to the wiles of the Devil.

Sure, God used different words… cunning and so forth, but He warned them that although they were His, that put a target on the flesh of their backs. Lucifer, with the Serpent spirit within, conned the two… You will not die, die. [xv] (“Surely die” in that warning was literally “die, die.”). The Serpent was not speaking of their flesh dying but their souls as well.

Be vigilant and sober, as a Christian, to avoid ever perishing. [xvi] Not to be vigilant for only one time at the altar, or even sober one time, but sober and vigilant until you die!

Going to the altar is a man-made way to conversion. The conversion really begins when a person is persuaded to become a Christian.

King Agrippa was “almost persuaded” by Paul [xvii] but true Christians were fully persuaded, not only to become a Christian but Paul, “persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.” [xviii] Hence, faith is not independent of time but over time. It is like any variable; it can vary, and it can terminate. Termination of the grace of God is apostasy; [xix] it is once having affection for God but defecting from His Grace.

The apostle Paul said, “We believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved.” [xx] Paul was an apostle and was quite alive, yet He understood that he was not saved; he spoke of a future event, and qualified salvation as, “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. [xxi]

Paul was afterward crucified for his faith, and it was by grace (unmerited favor) that he was selected by Jesus to spread the gospel. Paul endured to the end, then Nero had him killed. Death was his gain because Paul had Jesus in his soul, not in person, but the Holy Ghost of Jesus who had spoken to Paul on the road to Damascus.

Adam and Eve went to the Tree of Life but did not go all the way there. They were interrupted by a familiar Voice that they mistook for God. Satan misled them. He entered their minds as if He was the LORD GOD. Eve was convinced that he was because she immediately conceived Cain for her ‘lord,’ not the LORD GOD, but her new master. [xxii]

There is One Christ — One God in the flesh. The ‘Serpent’ presented itself as God in the flesh. He was not! The ‘Word’ set them straight and persuaded the two that He was the real God and unlike the visible Serpent, He was invisible.

If Adam and Eve, who were of God, can be dissuaded from trusting God, what would make a Christian think that he is invulnerable to the wiles of the Devil. [xxiii] The ‘wiles’ is the cunning of the Serpent in the beginning. He Has never changed but attempts to change you to its image that is defiant from the Image of God. As such, mankind — ‘the lost’ — is the image of Lucifer and he is the father of lies from the beginning. [xxiv]

With that said, be vigilant of even preachers. Test all things according to the Word of God. Those seemingly good men may not spread the gospel, but may be false prophets who spread bad tidings. That water is saving makes water a ‘god” and ‘Poseidon” is its name. Jesus is the true waters from the waters that God divided back in the beginning. It is His ‘Seed’ and His alone that is saving!

When a preacher asked what just happened, the convert innocently responds, “I got saved today!” Not so. The child began to trust Jesus and proceeded on a journey that ends in salvation. The Seed of God is planted, but in the world, it must grow (live) that way to the end.

The child is one of the living souls that was planted on Earth just as in the beginning. If it is on stony soul, it will wither and die just as Jesus hinted.

I have planted many gardens but to be truthful, the ground in Kentucky is red clay. That is problematic because the flesh of Adam was made from red clay. God did that because he knew how hard the world would be for Adam to grow and multiply. And so, it is here in Kentucky.

This is the ‘Bible belt’ but I have experienced few churches that teach the entire truth. They convince Christians — those who follow Christ — that the Way is complete, whereas it has just begun with rebirth. Oftentimes, although Paul preached for Christians to continue in their persuasion. Few preachers have the audacity to preach that even the little children, much like innocent Adam, may indeed perish; that Satan is out to steal their souls, and may very well do so.

Before I conclude this chapter, consider ‘justification.’ Preachers preach that it means, ‘just as you never sinned.’

Forgetting that you are a sinner safe by grace, [xxv] you must never forget that you will be saved by grace when the walk is over. Saved and safe are both good translations of the Greek word, ‘sozo’ (Strong 2006); however, they must be distinguished by context.

Translator bias is a problem because everyone prefers their own doctrines. The English Bible was translated with Calvinists in the majority, and English translations have copied their errors.

Versions are not the actual Word of God but language versions. I am not saying, not to believe the Bible, but consider all translations in their original contexts. I have endeavored to do that in this commentary, and as such, I have changed many of my wrong ideas. Perhaps some remain because I am not the ultimate truth, although I do seek it.

To be truthful, the doctrine of once saved, always saved, is scriptural. The contention is just when is salvation? Is it when first persuaded to follow Jesus or is it when the reward is accomplished. Paul, who was quite familiar with the Greek Olympiads, wrote, “Know you not that they which run in a race run all, but one receives the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.” [xxvi]

‘Conversion’ is when you are persuaded to enter the ‘race’ and follow Jesus, makes you nothing more than a ‘runner.’ If this race is over hurdles, then the runner may either jump over it as if it is not there, or fall flat.

Satan has erected high hurdles to make us fall. The flesh has mass, and on the Earth, our own flesh weighs us down. My thirty-pound weight gain is my own hurdle because I can no longer run like youthful me. The soul of man is weighed down with desires of the flesh. Each thing that we value as much as God weighs us down.

Satan is not there putting up hurdles. He is in our genes, however. We put up our own hurdles and then attempt to jump them without the aid of God.

What must we do to be saved? “The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” [xxvii] We are to diminish the flesh. What we have is what we have. It is not the weight of the person that holds runners back but that the flesh becomes weak to sin in much the same way that Superman’s Krypton weakens him.

Adam himself was made weaker and weaker day by day with his conflicts with Satan (From the book of the same name). He was tempted much of the time, especially when he went where he should not go.

Adam was walking the Way to the Tree of Life, but on the Way, he encountered false knowledge. If he had went all the Way to Jesus — ‘The Tree of Life’ — he would not have stumbled. Because his spirit was God’s, Adam was willing, so God put grace on Adam with flesh that He provided for him. [xxviii]

That was not a ‘coat of flesh’ that you might think, but the Holy Spirit of God to comfort Adam and his mate. What he did for Adam, God can do for you; Jesus said, “I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever.” [xxix]

What God did with that prayer was to open the door to the closet in Paradise, dust off the used coat that Adam wore, and fitted it just for you. There is a ‘Garment of God’ that fits all Adams, regardless of size, shape, color, or any other feature, except one; they must choose to wear it!

“Noah found grace.” [xxx] After he was safe, Noah removed the coat and revealed his flesh; then he became unsober as he drank strong wine.

Noah removed the Garment of God, according to the Book of Jasher, and then he went on a life of sin. The first thing, Noah became ‘God’ as he assumed the identity of ‘Husbandman.” [xxxi] Rather than multiplying the Spirit of God that he had, he made his own spirits, and the rest is bad history. To this day, inebriants take precedence over God for most people.

Like Noah, we too, have the freedom to either leave the ‘Comforter’ on or take it off, as we wish. To remain safe throughout the race, we ignore our flesh and wear the flesh of God.

His burden is light; scripture refers to the ‘Garment of God’ as the ‘Whole Armor of God.” It is not really a suit of armor any more than Adam’s coat was of skin!

“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” [xxxii] Why would Christians need armor if they are already saved? God expects you to use reason and logic; you would not need armor if there was not trouble that may be encountered.

The Bible speaks of things that have significance to walk with God in His Footsteps.

Only He received the Holy Ghost at His baptism. None of the others did! The Spirit of God remained on Jesus alone, implying that it did not remain on any others.

We are not to follow Jesus to the water, nor even to the Cross, but to relinquish our bodies that belong to Him!

Paul wrote about you… “Know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own?” [xxxiii]

It is not your body, your choice; but the body that belongs to God who made and remade you in His Image each time.

Pleasuring your flesh over having the joy of God is defection, and yes, even Adam did that; he found that it was God’s Flesh that God made, but continued to make wrong choices time and time again!

Rituals will not provide the reward any more than doing nothing. They are mere things that you do to make you think that you are without peril. Even my own daily routine of writing my thoughts is ritualistic and non-saving. It is that I must believe the Thoughts that He imbues within me.

The apostles proved their trust by following Jesus to their graves. That is what all Christians must do!

CHRISTIANITY FOR DUMMIES: The Garden of God

Previously, I painted a mental picture of Hell for you. Jesus provided the verbal picture, but I merely shared the truth about Hell and you. Now consider the Garden of God.

Jesus explained Hell quite well. If Hell does not exist, then Jesus is a liar because He not said it did and even described it. (See the previous chapter.) Just because you disbelieve something does not mean that the something is not true.

Why would anyone not believe in Hell? Because it is a place of torments. The easiest way to allay fears of torments is not to believe in Hell.

Many say, “A good God would not send you to Hell.”

That is true. God is Good and He does not do that.

Who does then?

You, yourselves select Hell. Given two choices: not to go there or to go there; you decide the rewards of this world would supersede the Will of God and are willing to pay the price. The ‘price’ of is eternally dying, never quite consummating it. The flesh is real but never burns. As such, the ‘lost’ who go to Hell have new flesh as well that burns but is never consumed.

The grief of it all in Hell, you will know it was not God’s choice for you and you were your own destroyer!

Would you expect leniency for God if He was that terrible? No! So, why would God be lenient with you?

Hence, God will judge you but will tell you nothing more than what you already know.

When God is denied or abandoned, you should understand that you walked into the ‘incinerator’ by yourself, with not even an angel to lead you, as is done to those who go to Paradise.

Part of the consequence of sin is isolation, not that you will not have company, but they all will hate you and you them.

Jesus gave two commandments on which the Law and the prophets hung… To love God and others. [i] For those who do not like those commandments, Hell is the place for them. The whole law there is to hate God and hate others with the same intensity. However, you will be part of the hated as well.

Consider the love that Jesus commands, “If you love Me, keep my commandments.” [ii] Now, let’s examine that condition for a moment.

People think of love as an emotional event. Erotic love is the most obvious because the response can be both seen and felt.

Familial love is a little harder. It warms the heart, and since they are of the same gens (family) as you, there is an instinctual bond there. Pride and a sense of togetherness is emoted in a family situation.

Brotherly love is generally thought of as companionship; doing things together to lift-up each other. That is expressed in pleasure.

When the love of God is expressed, it is a Divine type of love (agape in the Greek). It has nothing to do with emotion or activity. Agape ‘love’ is simply goodwill. The passage on love can then be rewritten, If you have good will for Me, keep My commandments.

The will of both God and men is to exercise the mind. It is not work at all, but ergonomics.

Thinking is the easiest of all work because it does not require much power. Therefore, to go to Paradise in Heaven is basically thinking good thoughts. Why would God allow anyone in Paradise who thought evil of anyone? Then it would not be a paradise but a type of Hell… you know, the place that most do not want to go to!

Commandments seem to be things that you do.

Back to the dog story; “Rover, heel,” and the dog does not even think about it… the dog heels.

God wants humans to do the same thing but calls it a less provocative term — ‘bow.’ Bowing in humility is the way that Christians ‘bless’ God. As the centurions found out, bowing to God cannot be done in mockery but allegiance. Allegiance is trusting in God for security and is having goodwill.

The Greek word, entole, not only means ‘commands’ but ‘prescriptions’ (Strong 2006). The cure for death is sanctuary in a perfect place wherein all have goodwill for God and each other. What is wrong with that idea?

A place like that without God is Utopian, but the same place with God there is Paradisical. However, God must be there to make the difference. God made man for companionship and contrary to Dr. Jeremiah’s statement, God does want something in return… “Keep My commandments!” — Keep what I prescribe for you.

Now, rather than looking at the command as an activity that takes power, recognize goodwill as a prescription, not for well-being here, but eternal longevity in Paradise. It takes no work to go to Paradise just as it takes no work to go to Hell. Your destiny is based only on what you think about God and your fellow human beings.

Therefore, the cunning ‘Serpent’ has an easy task; all it needs to do is to control your thoughts. That is so simple! The M.O. of the Serpent is merely to have you see positive things while in the shadows, his will is done, just as with original sin.

Perhaps the woman saw Lucifer as an angel of light as its name means, but inwardly the angel was a demon who Karl Jung would call our ‘Old Man’ or ‘Archetype.’

To go to Hell, you need to do nothing, not even think because naturally everyone is like the beasts who do as they will. It is instinctual and the nature of the beast that is in humans.

To go to Paradise in Heaven requires change. Since instincts are genetic, you have no power to change your genome (the DNA carbon chains that identify exactly who you are.) That can only be done by God providing you with new genetics. Jesus called that ‘born again.” [iii] He explained to Nicodemus that, that is not something you can do, nor your mother can do, but that He alone will do. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that no one can come to the Father except by Him. [iv]

The key there is coming to the Father.

Where is the ‘Father’? In Paradise in the realm of Heaven. The Father, the ‘LORD GOD’ reigns in another domain. To enter the door, or portal, to that realm requires a new nature. Hence, if your nature remains to sin with impunity, as if there are no consequences, then Paradise is no place for you.

How would someone know that they he is a Christian? It is how one looks at God’s prescriptions — as mandates or grace. After all, God has no obligation for your comfort, so why would he make Paradise available to anyone to whom He is not responsible?

God does care for His heirs. Their reward is God’s Estate in Paradise. Jesus is the heir to the Estate of His Father. Paradise in Heaven belongs to Him as well as the world. Those who are fellow heirs with Jesus, not only will inherit Paradise in Heaven, but the world when Jesus comes again. Lucifer does not own the world; he is merely a ‘squatter’ in what belongs to God. God will take it back when it is time!

Many consider the ‘Ten Commandments’ as punitive — things they do not want to do but must do.

Jesus never said, “You must do all that I command,” but “You must be born again.” Rebirth is doing the Will of God, not out of fear of retribution, but because you have goodwill for Him. They are metrics about how to please God, but so many think of them as hard works.

The Ten Commandments are nothing more that characteristics which measure your love for God, and the honoring your father and mother even gives the promise; “That your days may be long upon the ‘land’ which the Lord thy God gives you.” [v]

Ironically, ‘land’ in that passage is 'adama’ in the Hebrew. Where was the ground (adama) where Adam was created? In the Garden of Eden in Paradise!

Was God saying that honoring the parents would lead to a long life on Earth or eternity in Paradise in Heaven? Perhaps God was referring to the latter because the world is a place of punishment for sin, as scripture reveals, “So He drove out the man; and He placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the Way of the Tree of Life.” [vi]

Where did the man and woman go? Into the world. Chapter three of Genesis describes nothing more than the world.

Eden is a ‘place of delights” (ibid). It is not the world. Eden was most likely in another realm that was later called, ‘Paradise.’ Hence, the Garden of Eden was not here on Earth, and no wonder it no longer exists. I am suggesting that Paradise was never here but only in heaven, and that in the end, Paradise will be on Earth, to wit:

And I (John) saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.” [vii]

The point made is that Paradise in Heaven is the same ‘place’ as described in the Book of Genesis wherein all things made were ‘very good,’ [viii] or precisely speaking, perfect with exceedingly abundance.

Most people want some idea where they are going for such a long time! So, you want to know about Paradise? Get a preview of it by reading about it! Do you want to know the milieu of all the heavens? Read the Book of the Secrets of Enoch.

John saw one important thing! It was not just a Utopian society on Earth but a place on Earth adorned by God, and the greatest Light therein will be “God Himself,” according to the vision of John.

There will indeed be a great climate change… for the better, when the cosmos and the Earth are regenerated to make it an ideal place to exist, but only for those who are in Paradise.

I once thought of Paradise as eastward in Eden, thinking that was some ‘direction’ in the world. I once believed that Eden was even in the world. However, the Hebrew word, translated ‘eastward’ means nothing more than “before time” (ibid) since the sun comes up in the East.

When did time begin? It could have been on ‘day four’ when the Sun and the Moon were created, so using that reference before time would be before day four.

The ‘firmament’ was made on the second day. Many think of the firmament as a dome, but it is the cosmos, when material things were made (matter). Paradise, although it cannot be seen, is made of firm things that cannot be seen by the naked eye.

In the Books of Adam and Eve, it was written that the two, before sin, could see things that can no longer be seen because they had a bright nature with bright eyes. Heaven is for real, but it cannot be seen with human eyes because sin disallowed human beings from seeing things that did not belong to them.

To see Paradise requires a new nature… a new creature made again in the Image of God. So, you want to see where you are going as a Christian? Look at things with the eyes of creature with a newfound nature.

Once I saw Paradise as a place of toil. After all, young me thought, Someone must plant and cultivate the Garden! Indeed, Someone will. God is the ‘Husbandman’ who will take care of the Garden just as He always has; Jesus said, “I am the True Vine, and My Father is the Husbandman.” [ix]

What Jesus meant that the Father supplied the Seed and planted it. God planted a Garden and His ‘crop’ was man and of two genders, male and female.

“Man was planted in the Garden of God?” you question! Yes, it is so:

There went up a mist from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground. And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. [x]

If my hunch is true, that adama (ground) was in heavenly Paradise, then Adam (Ground) was not formed from the dust of planet Earth but a paradisal substance; hence Adam was gloriously made! (The fact that carbon in human DNA is not of this world but from distant and ancient hot stars makes sense.)

The point that I am making is that Paradise is ‘paradise” and perhaps it was never of this world, but in another realm that science cannot see into.

Science looks at things with blind eyes. The word ‘science’ means “to know’ but that is grandiose thinking — it is delusional. They do not know but think they do!

Science, by definition, is the discovery of things that can be seen or measured. It applies only to the cosmos and admits that it does not pertain to the unseen realm which John described as having dimensions and could have mass as well.

Jesus said to His disciples, the following:

In My Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. [xi]

Heaven is for real! That means both Hell and Paradise. You will not get into both, but the choice is yours, be it a Glorious Heaven or an inglorious realm isolated one from the other by some type of impassible barrier.

Worse of the worst is that Lazarus was spared seeing the rich man in Hell, but the rich man could see Lazarus in Paradise. Think of the agony of that… and for eternity!

Jesus described, not a Garden for two, but a great city — New Jerusalem. Within the City of God is not just a Garden but a House of God that would put Herod’s Palace to shame, and within it is a mansion of sorts ready for any or all that will come unto the Father by Jesus.

The reward is for just seeing Jesus as God in the flesh, and that He can save, and that requires both a place to be saved from and another place to be saved from?

Hell is the place saved from and Paradise the place to be saved to. So, when is it that you are saved? When your soul, before destined for Hell, ends up in Paradise. That occurs, not in this world, but the next. No wonder that Paul, who was in Christ, saw death as gain!

“Love,” Paul wrote, is for the “hope of salvation.” [xii] Hope points toward salvation as a future event. The “Big Lie,” as I wrote before, is that you are already saved and whatever you do is inconsequential.

If Adam was already in Paradise, He lost Paradise because of sin. God always does things the same Way and we should always expect Him to do so again.

‘Born again’ is a replanting of the ‘Garden of Living Souls’ just as in the beginning. Jesus used parables to reveal which seeds of the Garden will grow and it is conditional.

Jesus, in parables, laid out the conditions:

Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow: And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up. And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth: But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit. And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred. [xiii]

Genesis is the planting of the Garden of God and His main (dominant) plants were mankind. That crop failed because the poison of sin found its way into the Garden. (It was allowed in via Lucifer who was to perform a scientific test; to see if the new creatures honored their Creator. Adam was said to have been created on the Foundation Stone — on stony ground — and that ‘crop’ failed.)

As the ‘Last Adam,’ Jesus is the Hope that the Garden of Living Souls will produce a glorified crop of people, all who have been remade in the Image of God.

New Jerusalem and the New Heaven and Earth is a repeat of Genesis chapters one and two wherein God was preparing a place for His people. That place was the Estate of God that He would leave to His heirs.

Made for the First Adam, the Last Adam will inherit the Estate, sit at the right hand of the Father, and share the Estate of God with His ‘fellow heirs’… “That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ.” [xiv]

By now, you should have a rough understanding why you should not want to go to Hell but go to Paradise. It is for a long time, so choose wisely.

What is that you need to do? Toil? No… you only need to see Jesus as the only Way to the Father and you have the hope of salvation.

Hopefully, since I have provided for you verbal pictures of Hell and Paradise that when you escape the gravity of the world, you would not want the grave (Hades) but eternal life just on the other side of the door.

The door opens only one way and only Jesus opens it. Death is the gateway to either eternal life or eternally dying, and there is no waiting period in Purgatory nor turning back from your destination.

WHEN TIME BEGAN

Time requires a clock and to initially set a clock, time must begin, or at least have a frame of reference. This commentary attempts to reveal the ‘clock’ and when it was originally set.

This year, according to the calculations based on the biblical studies by rabbis, there are two sets of numbers based on the genealogies of the patriarch’s that differ by about 1700 years. In modern times, now (2023) would be year (Latin; Anno Mundi) A.M. 5784.

Anno Mundi is ‘the year of the world.’ It seems that 5784 years have expired since the world began. That seems such a short time considering that evidence exists that there were things before time began.

So, rather than question the existence of those creatures, perhaps time should be the question!

There is an inscription in the Ballybough Cemetery in Ireland that reads ‘built in the year 5618.’ That cemetery was established in A.D. 1857, hence based on that date now would be 2023, and it is, so at least since 1857, Anno Mundo time would be the same as now.

Ancient time is based on one of two things: (1) growth of trees (dendrochronology) and (2) carbon decay (carbon-14 half lives in the tissues of what were once organisms).

Therefore, time is based on the growth of organisms as well as on the death of organisms. What I will call ‘Tree Time’ (dendrochronology) applies only to trees that have not yet decayed, so the most ancient time is based on carbon dating of the decay rate of carbon-based organisms.

All measurements have a degree of accuracy (inaccuracies) as is the case with dendrochronology and carbon dating.

Tree dating is only as accurate as 6000 years because that is about the age of the oldest known tree in existence. In theory, that tree could have been one of the original trees based on Anno Mundi. It remains alive and is still growing to this day.

The Bible begins with the ‘beginning.’

“In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth” (Gen 1:1), not necessarily the Cosmos and the Earth, but space and matter, or as the Hebrew indicates, the lofty and the firm. The ‘firm’ is surely matter and the ‘lofty’ the space in which matter exists.

The ‘beginning,’ in that verse, is literally of the ‘first rank.’ God began to create order and the subsequent periods are the different processes in that order and are rankings; first things came first and other things according to their rankings. God was making order from nothing.

The ‘clock’ and the ‘calendar’ were not created until the fourth rank — the Sun and Moon, respectively. There were no years and days until sometime after the fourth ranking of creation. Hence, the use of the term ‘days’ is ambiguous, considering that the Book of Enoch uses the word, ‘aeon’ (ages).

So, when did time begin? When the Moon and Sun were created?

Genesis is about generating, not decay. Time is based on decay, is it not? Before the Sun and Moon, there was essentially no time because there were no ‘instruments’ to measure time. How long did it take for each step in the creation? That is unknown because there was no measurement of time.

The Hebrew word, ‘yom’ is used for any amount of time whether it be a day, year, or even continually (Strong 2006). Yom means nothing more, according to that source, than warming.

All processes begin by warming, followed by an activity, ending in equilibrium after cooling. Thus, the generation of heaven and earth are two processes consisting of seven steps in a certain order.

Chapter one seems to be the order of things in the invisible realm and chapter two, the visible. Hence, heaven and the earth. The fact that there are kinds in chapter one means nothing more than there are things that cannot be seen that reside in another realm.

God knew mankind before the foundation of the world, as is written… “He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world” (Ephes 1:4). Mankind was conceived as having dominion (Gen 1:26) over the other kinds before the foundation of the world. That refers to chapter one when God made Adam in His Image (Hebrew; Selem; Gen 1:27). That Image was a ‘shadow’ (or phantom; ibid).

Ironically, the gender of the male was ‘Adam,’ but the gender of the female was ‘Issa’ (Adulteress). God knew her destiny.

When God made mankind in His Image was when man was chosen to be loved; not just a few men but all mankind (John 3:16). Mankind was conceived in that phase of the Creation process. His ‘substance’ was a ‘shadow’ or ‘fragment’ of what would later be the material image just as Plato may have implied in the Allegory of the Cave.

The material image came later when God added to the shadow its physical substance (Gen 2:7) and breathed life — the soul — of man into his body. It is implied much later that the soul is the exact volume of the body but without mass. That is derived from the baptism of Jesus when, “The Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape” (Luke 3:22).

Hence, the invisible bodily shape of Adam was formed before the bodily shape and without an organism, there was nothing about Adam that would decay.

Essentially, ‘glorification’ is without corruption (decay) and Adam was made like the glorious image and without any substance that would decay.

Eating of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, at that instant, was when Adam (both the man and woman) began to die. Time began for them, and it was measured for ‘Adam’ as 930 years. That could mean either only the male Adam or both Adama. Either way, sacred literature makes their lifetimes about equal.

My hypothesis is that time began when the organisms began to decay. Hence, the decay of Adama was 930 years before they withered away. Their carbon-base was depleted in 930 years. I submit that time began when carbon-14 could be measured. Live tissue absorbs carbon-14 into it; once the organism dies the carbon-14 begins to decay into carbon-12. Time is measured by how much carbon-14 remains in an organism.

‘Sin’ would be with the onset of carbon-14. Perhaps before sin, the flesh of mankind would not absorb carbon-14 but the other kinds could. The reason for that is because mankind was different, having dominion over the other kinds. A glorious body, by definition, would not be able to absorb carbon-14 because it decays and thus would not be glorious. Hence, decay may have begun when mankind lost glory, became inglorious, and would gradually corrupt over time. Adam and his mate both withered for almost a millennium.

So, when did time really begin? Certainly not in the Garden because it was Paradise in heaven. Adam and Eve were cast out of the heavenly Paradise into the world (Gen 3:24). Perhaps the Garden was not of this world but a ‘Garden of Living Souls’ in another realm that God had prepared for us. So, all the while Adama were enjoying Paradise in heaven, the Garden in the world was decaying. Carbon-dating would be able to measure the decay on Earth but not in heaven.

Time began, perhaps, when Eve began to multiply, thus using carnal knowledge gained from the tree of life:

1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, “I have gotten a man from the Lord.” 2 And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. 3 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord. (Gen 4:1-3)

Eve began to multiply; she alone without the male, had become dominant. As the ‘mother of all living’ (Gen 3:20), she, not the male, would have the dominant gene, and it would be her that would produce the kind called ‘Adam.’ Hence, after that time, all of us are Eva’s in that it is her mitochondrial DNA that defines us!

The male Adam saw Eve have carnal knowledge for Cain was of the Wicked One (1 John 3:12). Cain was not a ‘man’ (Adam) but another kind of existence, (‘Eres). Then the Serpent dispensed his ‘fruit’ onto the ground (adam) as if it was Adam’s seed. It is implied therein that God had not planted Cain in the ground like Adam, but Eve and the Wicked One planted their own garden and it was Cain that multiplied his awful seed. With the birth of Cain, he was the ‘Second Adam’ in contrast to Jesus’s, the ‘Last Adam.’ (1 Cor 15:45).

Since Adam is both the ground and the man, then Adam’s dust was sprinkled with carbon-12, ironically generated in the hottest of the hot stars. He was of carbon-12 not radioactive carbon-14.

I submit that time began with the ‘Second Adam’(Cain) as a new world unfolded with him as the ‘plant’ replacing Adam. Adam was transplanted from the Garden in Heaven to the garden in the Land of Nod and there he and his mate began to die.

“And in the process of time; it came to pass” (Gen 4:3).

Process is first mentioned alongside carnal knowledge. The rankings of the processes of Creation were an ordering. Therein ‘yom’ specifically refers to time. Time is the rate of decay of the carbon-14 in organisms. Carbon-14 is ‘radiocarbon’ because it is radioactive. Radiation is the death ray. Carbon-14 is unstable and degenerates… opposing generation, or genesis.

Lucifer is the ‘Bringer of Light.’ You would think that he brings truth, but not so, he brought death, and perhaps carbon-14 is what Lucifer brought as his invisible ‘light.’

With that reasoning, does it not make sense that time began with sin? Does that not explain why there were dinosaurs and sub-human creatures that were on Earth long before us?

Time was not created for the animals but for man, specifically the alien man, Cain, whose name means ‘to create,’ obviously a new species that have devolved into modern man.

Here again, time measures decay, not just of one individual but all of us beings who are from Cain. Our days are numbered, not from Adam, but from the instant of original sin, and Cain is the real genetic ‘Adam’ not adama themselves.

The true genetic ‘Adam’ is Eve, when time began with the sin of the woman, afterward called ‘Eve.’ No wonder mitochondrial DNA is the accurate measurement of the beginnings of our inglorious kind!

How long shall mankind devolve to decay all the way? Until the end of time.

The family of upright man (adama) would have existed long before time began, and his soul before the foundation of the world… before there was carbon even in existence — eons ago.

The real ‘clock’ is not the Sun but carbon-14 that Lucifer would have created to be the ‘Bringer of Light.’

Therefore, the obvious conclusion is that sin set the radioactive ‘clock’ and it began when life was reset with the introduction of sin. Only wise men, homo sapiens, know sin, so the only answer to dying is to, “Marvel not; you must be born again” (John 3:7).

Anno Mundi should not be the beginning of the world, but the onset of man’s decadence. There were things before time, and the souls of men were there. From the beginning to the ending of His Creatures, there was only God and those who were made in His Image. Time began with us creatures who were like the ‘Creature.’
