Short, but not so sweet!

Jesus is all about love! Right? "For God so loved the world..." (John 3:16). Even as men are deep in sin and hate God (Jesus), God still loves them. There are no requirements for being loved! For that reason, if an evil person comes to Jesus, it's that divine unconditional love which Jesus has which is sufficient to accept sinners. That''s grace!

Now pay attention! I said "accept sinners". God is NEVER "accepting of sin" because to do so is against who he is! Therefore, the Bible is all "about loving the sinner, but hating the sin!" That's the plot to the story of God. It's the love of God in which mankind dwells. However, because he loved us, he must give us a reason to follow him!

People believe in and accept Jesus for one reason: to be saved! Saved from what" An eternally burning hell! If you don't believe in hell, then what is it you're saved from?

Jesus is all about punishment too! Christians ignore this and sinners hate this:
2 Corinthians 5:10 "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad."
Jesus is the judge!  The "thing" he will judge the harshest is the condition of our hearts!
James 5:9 "Do not complain, brethren, against one another, so that you yourselves may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing right at the door."
If we treat our Christian brothers badly, Jesus will judge you the same way! That's another way of saying "The Golden Rule": "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you!"
1 John 4:20 "If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen."
Churches are full of liars! Churches are full of Christians (sic) who don't love God. Jesus may cut you a little slack if you despise your enemy (non-Christians), but "brothers" are those who are bound together under Christ's name.

As I sit here, I think of all the wars between Christians in church, even local congregations, and the hate which fills the pews. The Holy Spirit stays away from gatherings seeded with discord. Why isn't your church blossoming, growing and spreading? It's because some of you are the seeds of discord! Hearts need to get right because Satan may be sitting now on some pews in the church.
