Eve focused on the fruit. It was the "shiny object." The "Serpent," the image of Lucifer was hardly noticed because of the beauty of Lucifer and the fruit. That was the first "scatoma" and scatomas have become Satan's M.O.
The Israelites missed what was happening on the holy mountain because they were so pre-occupied with themselves. Admittedly, I missed much of what was happening on the holy mountain because the golden calf was the “shiny thing” that caught my attention. Was the golden calf your focus or what was it what was happening on the mountain in the Cloud?
Alchemists work that way. They make it appear that things
are not what they are. In this commentary, you will see how we always see the "shiny object" but miss the object in the cloud. While the Israelites were making a shiny golden calf, God was up in the cloud making a new person.
Alchemy, in general, is an unexplained and mysterious transmutation. During the exodus from Egypt, Moses and Aaron were gone for quite some time — forty days. At the end of those days, left alone to their own devices, the Israelites became restless. They looked back at Egypt and the worship that they had known there.
The Israelites had flown from sin and “Satan” in Egypt. They were safely away from Satan who was perhaps in Pharaoh since he presumed to be a god.
They had been without merit, but God delivered all those who would follow Him and Moses from Egypt to the Promise Land. The Israelites who would fail to follow God’s specific instructions during the first Passover would die. The blood of lambs was essential to continue in life only if it was sprinkled on the doorposts and lintels of their homes. Their last act was a Passover meal, indubitably in remembrance of the day that God saved them from peril.
The Israelites were witnessing the gospel of Jesus Christ first-hand. There is so much harmony between the Book of Exodus and the exodus and the gospels of Jesus Christ. Jews to this day celebrate Jesus and fail to understand just who IS their Yahweh! That happened to the Israelites as they built the golden calf.
The beginning of their misunderstanding was when Moses was gone. They had not been following God at all but Moses. The Jews, then and now, still do not follow God but Moses and his Law.
It is thought that Moses went up to the Presence of God alone, but Joshua was with him (Exod 24:13). Moses, when he came back to camp was a changed man. The people would soon see the radiance of God in Moses (Exod 34:29-35). No mention is made there of Joshua but much later, entering the Promise Land, the LORD GOD said to Moses, “Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him” (Num 27:18). Both Moses and Joshua were filled with the Holy Spirit of God! In Scripture, Moses is antitypical of God and Joshua, Jesus. Even their names give them away as Moses is “Water,” presumably holy water, and Joshua is literally “Jesus.”
Moses had not seen God, so why would he be so radiant? Because he saw what happened to Joshua! Were you so focused on the radiance of Moses that you failed to see the change in Joshua inside?
Both Moses and Joshua would have God, one with the Spirit on him and the other in him. Moses would bear the Light of God and Joshua would foreshadow Jesus. Moses was wicked; he had killed a man and was too guilty to be exalted. Unseen, God was picking another man to exalt, and that was Joshua.
While they were gone, the Israelites no longer followed
them. Initially, they had made a commitment; responding to the presence of
Moses, “all the people answered with one voice, and said, ‘All the words which
the Lord hath said will we do’” (Exod 24:3). With Moses gone, what did they do?
You shall see, but what happened to Moses, and surely Joshua, on the mountain?
16 And the glory of the Lord abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud. 17 And the sight of the glory of the Lord was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel. (Exod 24:16-17)
God repeated the creation! Moses was still (inanimate) in the Presence of the Lord, and the Lord remolded him and removed his Egyptian nature and replaced it with a divine one. God remolded Moses in six days, then God rested on the seventh just as in the beginning when God molded Adam.
Moses looked different on the outside — radiant but just how much had he changed inwardly? He had the Spirit of God on him and it showed for all to see. There was a profound change in Moses, and perhaps Joshua as well, because he had the Spirit of God in him.
All the while the One True God was communing and residing with Moses and Joshua, below the mountain on the plain, a spirit that had been in Pharoah was called up from another realm.
The Israelites did not say, make us a God, but “make us gods.” They wanted to be gods just as Lucifer foretold Eve back in the Garden (Gen 3:5). But even if they perceived themselves as gods, they still needed and image to follow. The word translated “Serpent” is literally “Image.” The original image appeared as a Serpent but this time as a golden calf. Neither the Serpent nor the calf would have any super-powers of themselves but only what Eve and Aaron would allow them to have.
The Israelites contributed the ransom this time. God had given Moses the proper way to sacrifice to God; the ransom was to be the firstfruits of the crop: bullocks and rams (Exod 30:12).
With their “God” now out of the picture, the first “worship” of the Israelites was Satanic in nature. The ransom would not be a bullock (a cow) but gold jewelry for Aaron to make a golden calf to lead them. It would not be a live bullock but a mere image of one. Because it was a calf, and the Egyptian creator “god” was Horus of whom Pharaoh claimed to be the son. Horus was part man and part falcon. He was the all-seeing eye of the Egyptians. The element phosp-horus means “Light Bearer” and “Lucifer” is phosphorus in Latin.
Symbolically, the Israelites blasphemed the Holy Spirit by making their own image of their God.
The Israelites created their God right there outside Paradise. He would not be part man and part falcon but all bullock as the bull god, Apis, of the Egyptians. They would not worship the image of Pharoah, but they would the image of Egypt.
Of course, the ram that they were to offer to God was representative of the Lamb of God, but the bullock, Apis itself. They were to offer up Apis to the Lamb of God in Tabernacle worship just as Satan in Jesus was offered up with the Lamb of God. That time, the image was not a serpent or a bull but Satan in the image of a man.
Now back to alchemy: God revealed how he created as can be read in Genesis 1 and 2. In like mnner, God revealed how man created gods of themselves in Exodus: (1) This time the people provided the material (gold), not God, (2) the sons and daughters of the Israelites did the work, not the Son, (3) Aaron the priest designed the image, not God, (4) and at the end of the day the “creators” rested from their work and made a feast for themselves different than God who rested only! (Exod 32:1-6).
All the while the people provided all the elements made by their own hands, Aaron fashioned it into a golden calf. The people and Aaron had created and image for them to follow. They would be the many “gods” and Apis would be the image that they would follow. The image could go nowhere, so they would go nowhere. There ambition was not the Promised Land but to stay in the “rut” that they had found themselves.
Moses, with God on him and the Law in his hands caught them in their blasphemy. They had created themselves as gods and the image they would follow was inanimate. They preferred to stay as they were — in the manner of the Egyptians. They would adore themselves for their part in erecting a new image to replace paradise lost and Apis the bull.
The bow that Noah saw; what did the bow represent? The Promise of a Savior, and also the fertile crescent of the Promised Land — the land from the Nile to the Euphrates. As far as they were concerned, they were already in “Paradise,” but the Promise was in the midst of the bow — in Jerusalem where the Cross would someday be set.
So, they made themselves gods and made an image to go before them. They resurrected “Lucifer,” not as Horus, the Egyptian creator god, but a lesser image, Apis. Their god would not be the “creator” but what he created — the bullock. They too would worship the creation by worshiping themselves.
Moses and Joshua came from the Presence of the Lord and saw as much as what Noah saw. They were acting out things as in the days of Noah when each had become their own god doing what they willed to do.
Moses, representing God, destroyed the golden calf and returned it to the dust from which it came, repeating what Abraham had done with Terah’s inanimate idols so long before.
Moses confronted his brother, Aaron:
22 And Aaron said, “Let not the anger of my lord wax hot: thou knowest the people, that they are set on mischief. 23 For they said unto me, ‘Make us gods, which shall go before us: for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.’” 24 And I said unto them, “Whosoever hath any gold, let them break it off. So they gave it me: then I cast it into the fire, and there came out this calf.” (Exod 32:22-24)
With that, Aaron became the first “evolutionist” as he credited Chance. None of them had had anything to do with it. All they did was take gold and by itself, it turned into a calf. That is alchemy exactly. They used the same excuse, blaming alchemy, as the world does today, crediting science.
The “father” of science is alchemy. Science evolved from alchemy but still shares its heritage. To this day, no thing contributed the material and from no thing, all things just happened.
There were intelligent but foolish beings that made the calf, but rather than admit their error, Aaron said it just happened. Images of God provided the material and created the golden calf just as the Real God provided and created the two “images” of Himself in the beginning.
Aaron was saying, Nature did it and by chance it just happened, so please do not credit me the priest of God for all this!
That notion caught on. To this day, all the things you see just happened, according to the liars like Aaron.
Aaron could have explained himself. He and the people created a new god. Science has created a new “god” and new images; they have become the gods just like the Israelites and their “golden calf” is Higg’s Boson, the “God Particle” that came out of nowhere — something from nothing.
Who is your “god”? Each sinner is their own god, and the image they follow is “Chance.” Even many who call themselves “Christian” believe the lie that Aaron made up. That was the Big Lie — a lie so preposterous that it cannot be made up!
Did Aaron really think that Moses would have believed that? The old Egyptian Moses would have, but God had made a new person out of the old Moses. The new person detected the lie and destroyed the lie. Although the Israelites saw the lie, the golden calf was so lustrous to convince them that they themselves were the gods, and they celebrated themselves for such a wonderful idea.
Is that not what the scientists do? Do they know that their own fabrication is a lie but to discredit their own Big Lie would discredit them and they were no longer be the gods that they are?
While on the mountain, God did His thing. Out of Moses, He created a Son. By the law of primogeniture, Gershom would be the heir to Moses, not Joshua. Joshua became the heir to Moses because he was most like Moses in whose image God cast him.
All the while the Israelites had constructed one to follow, God on the Holy Mountain, was doing the real thing.
Joshua, not Moses, was the real thing. Joshua is another English form of Jesus. While Moses’s name means “Water,” Joshua’s name, like Jesus, is theophoric for “Yahweh saves.” It was never Moses that saved, but Joshua who had Yahweh in him.
Moses knew that all along. Rather than following an inanimate bull, what happened when Joshua entered the Promised Land, crossing the Jordan?
In Joshua chapters 3 and 4 is a repeat of the exodus, this time at the entrance to Paradise. They passed over the Jordan just as Moses and the Israelites passed over the Red Sea and by the same means — by the hand of God.
Joshua explained the importance of that, “For the Lord your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until ye were passed over, as the Lord your God did to the Red sea, which he dried up from before us, until we were gone over.” (Josh 4:23).
It was never for Moses to be the son, but Joshua. All that happened during the Exodus was more about Joshua than Moses. “On that day the Lord magnified Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they feared him, as they feared Moses, all the days of his life” (Josh 4:14).
While Aaron was building the golden calf, Moses was with God where God was re-creating Joshua. He would be whom the Israelites were willing to follow.
Moses operated by coercion with his laws, but Joshua walked through the waters of the Jordan while the priests stood still. They became inanimate as Joshua was animated when the Lord magnified him. Joshua was the shadow of his namesake to come, Jesus Christ, and although they had little idea, the Israelites, by then new creatures, were following “Jesus.”
We still focus on the golden calf and have missed God molding his own “beast” (Joshua) into a holy man.
Likewise, many still believe in Jesus, the Image God molded of Himself, but forget His Innermost Being, the Holy Ghost who is still with us (Emmanuel).
