I love what this county once was.
In reflection as now I pause.
This country was at one time great,
but now its destiny is merely fate!
When founded God inspired those men.
Who wrote of freedom with a godly pen!
Liberty was bought with flowing blood.
Over this land was a freedom flood!
Men were never satisfied with less.
Now this country is just a mess!
What is it that men have done?
Worship of God is almost gone!
When men obey prosperity follows!
Riches abound in hills and hollows.
When God is bound in the darkest cave.
Man is left with himself to save!
My wish on this Independence Day,
that at God's feet our prayer's lay.
That we turn back our rebellious faces
and have the love of God in public places!
Why is independence celebrated still?
Joy ringing out on meadow and hill?
Why honor regulation and corruption?
A nation now in civil disruption!
Today God this nation restore.
Restore this nation Oh God I implore!
Dump ashes on those bringing us down.
Spread wisdom upon the vile Potomac Town!
Open men's eyes that they may know,
That atheists and socialists all must go!
That truth be turned to that House of White,
and evil lose out on this July 4th night!
