SWALLOWED UP IN VICTORY

KEY PASSAGES: And he (THE LORD GOD) will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations. He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the Lord hath spoken it. And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the Lord; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation. For in this mountain shall the hand of the Lord rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill. And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth his hands to swim: and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands. (Isa 25:9-11).

Death is so misunderstood; it is not physically dying, but forever spiritually dying. The soul is immortal, and will continue even after physical death. All men shall die the first death, and most the second death. Scripture indicates that the second death is not at a cross-section in time as the first death, but is an agonizing existence. Because the penalty is so severe, spiritual death requires flesh on which to inflict punishment. Ironically, with divine justice, since the flesh is the source of pleasure, the flesh must also be punished. The soul is punished by isolation from God and others, and the flesh by extremely agonizing pain!
Perhaps now, the reader better understands what death really was when Adam and Eve were sentenced to death back in Genesis 3. It should be noted, however, that the Word redeemed the two from death because the Lord is merciful and mighty. He has the power to create and to destroy, but also is a merciful judge. They had an excuse; they never knew nor understood death. Now you do! Their knowledge was incomplete as they had yet to eat of the forbidden tree. You have “eaten” and should know what death is. If you still don’t, read this: “Fear him (Beelzebub) which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” (Mat 10:28).
Who is this death angel, Beelzebub? He was the Canaanite god, Baal who is represented by the planet Venus – “the evening star.” Another name for Baal is Aphrodite. “Lucifer” is the Latin name for the planet Venus. In other words, Beelzebub represents the devil, Satan, and other gods are physical representations of Satan. The planet Venus is essentially the manifestation of the Devil, and is a false god.
Jesus is the “bright and morning star,” (Rev 22:16) and Venus the evening star. God is Light, and the bright and morning star seems to be the sun. However, the sun must not be idolized. The Lord Jesus created the bright and morning star on the fourth “day” to support subsequent life. However, on the first “day” God’s Light shined. Hence, the sun is NOT God, but Yahweh is the bright and morning “star.” When Yahweh is manifested, His manifestation is called Jesus (John 1-3,14). Jesus is the source of Light (truth) and Baal the source of darkness (evil).
From the key passages, “in that day” is the time when “death is swallowed up in victory.” Furthermore, “This is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us.” Salvation, therefore, is when “death is swallowed up in victory.” The key passages indicate when death would be swallowed up: (1) “When Moab is trodden down,” (2) “He shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them,” and (3) “He shall bring down their pride.”
“He” in those passages, is obviously God, “who spreads forth his hands” (Jesus). God is patriarchal, but He is neither male or female. However, as the Patriarch, Yahweh in the flesh is male, and any female “gods” are imposters.
The spread hands of God represent Jesus on the Holy Cross. With open arms, Jesus welcomes all, but the horizontal bar points to two thieves: one who repented and the other who did not! Jesus died for all, but there was one condition – that Jesus be recognized as the Way. There were two ways – upward toward God’s Kingdom, and downward toward the Devil’s who is “Prince of the Power of the Air” (Ephes 2:2) who rules the way of the world. As such, Jesus is Lord of the heaven and earth, whereas Beelzebub is merely “the lord of the flies” over a dung heap.
God, in the Flesh of Jesus, did not die on the Holy Cross. God’s Flesh slept for three days, as the Father finished His work. Jesus’s Holy Ghost departed God’s Flesh and deposited all the sins of mankind into the pit of Hell. In other words, somebody died that day, but it was not Yahweh because He still lives to this day! Beelzebub died a vicarious death when Jesus swallowed up death in victory. Jesus defeated Death himself on the Holy Cross. It was Beelzebub who died when Jesus was crucified.

Beelzebub morphs. Originally, as the “star” angel Lucifer, he then morphed into the Serpent (Gen 3:1). Much later, Satan morphed into Judas Iscariot by entering into him (John 13:27). It was the Serpent in the flesh of Judas who died on the day that Jesus was crucified! When Judas died, death was swallowed up in victory!

However, only the spirit of Satan “died,” but only came out of Judas. The Beast (the Serpent) will arise again, in the form of the Antichrist. In that day, the Devil will be put down in form and spirit, and he will no longer be able to destroy anyone. From Adam until Judas died, mankind was in peril because of the spirit of the Devil. From the death of Judas, Jesus keeps the righteous safe from the spirit of the evil one, and when the Beast is finally destroyed, Jesus saves those who followed him all along!
The phrase may be oxymoronic, but for those who accept Jesus’s propitiation for their sins, “The Devil is as good as dead!” He will be dead when Jesus ultimately destroys him in form and spirit. He will no longer be able to enter into anyone’s flesh because he will be dead. Jesus died so that those who see the Serpent as dead, will no longer fear him! The loss of fear and the gain in trust is the change which Jesus called “born again” (John 3:7). With new insight (Light), those with renewed vision see that the pole which Moses held was the Serpent in his Philosophy Tree, and Judas hanging from his tree. It is understanding that the Serpent’s death and Satan’s identity was killed off by Jesus crucified on his “tree” as Paul referred to the Cross.
Metaphorically, Holy Scripture, is all about “trees” and whose “tree” people look to. Worshippers of Baal worship what Baal brings: “The lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life.” (1 John 2:16). Jesus, on the Cross with arms outstretched as a swimmer, brings down their pride; those who humble themselves.
Pride is from Beelzebub. When Baal dies, pride dies with him. Hence, “the meek shall inherit the earth,” (Mat 5:5) which surely means New Jerusalem in earth (Rev 21). That’s when the invisible empire becomes visible, and is planted on the foundation of old Jerusalem. The meek shall be safe therein and final saved from the evil one!
That leaves “Moab trodden down!” Part 2 of 2 will reveal what that means. Stay tuned until tomorrow.

PEOPLE ARE TOUGH TO LOVE

KEY VERSES: I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven (Mat 5:44-45a) and, Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. (Mat 18:21-22)

Love is hard work, is one of my repeated expressions. Spiritual love is not emotional but rational. Jesus realized that everyone prefers to be loved, and encouraged everyone to love one another, as Jesus loves them, and as everyone loves themselves. In fact, love is the pre-requisite for eternal life. Love is not suggested but commanded (John 15:17), and if one have not loved, then to whom is he or she a disciple, as is written, “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another (John 13:35).  The apostle John was an authority on love so much so that Jesus called him “The Beloved.”
The points that John and Jesus were trying to get across is that love is not optional, is hard work, and is expected. The ability to love one another and God is the Way to gain entry into Heaven. How are Christians assured of their salvation? If they love God intensely and others as themselves.
Christians surely hate themselves because they seem to hate others so much. Mankind’s problem is that we are “as God” (Gen 3:5); not God, but claiming the authority that only God has.
God loves everyone, but since mankind thinks that they are superior to God, they have the false perception that they have a right to choose who to love and who to hate! That is a superior attitude, but to enter into Heaven requires meekness (or humility; Mat 5:5). There is no other way for entry into Heaven except through love. As a test for reverence to God’s Will, He requires that we love others just as He does.
“God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). “The world” in that verse, is everyone: the good and the bad; His friends and His enemies, and we are to love friends and enemies in the same manner. The question is, “How can one claim to love their enemies when they cannot do the easy thing and love their friends?” Spiritual love is caring intensely for the well-being of another; specifically, that their destiny is eternal life! The ability to forgive is not merely excusing the wrongs of others but loving them intensely thereafter.
Jesus said to forgive seventy times seven. That is not meant to be a specific number of times, but rhetorically, never cease forgiving and never cease from loving. Peter denied Christ thrice. Jesus was about to die because he loved Peter so much, and everyone as well. With that extreme love, Peter had the audacity to deny the one who loved him so! Peter could not even love the one who would die for him, let alone those who despised him. Jesus would have been justified in hating Peter, but he maintained his love. Jesus would have been justified to despise the Pharisees and scribes, but he loved them so much that he died for them. Jesus so loved his Roman assassins so intensely that he said, “Forgive them Father for they know not what they do” (Luke 23:34). That’s how to implement hard love!
On the other hand, those who claim to be righteous and godly are unforgiving and angry people. Jesus was about to be killed yet he loved his enemies and died for them so that they could live. For most people, they kill their fellow men by hatred: “Whosoever hateth his brother (another) is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him” (1 John 3:15). Yet many still have the audacity to maintain that they are goodly men and women!

The thing that I hate about myself is the difficulty in loving God’s enemies. Jesus does not want that from me for he loved them so! Love is so difficult that family members cannot even love their so-called “loved ones!” Jesus loved the centurions as they thrust a sword into his side as he was in agony from crucifixion. Yet people can’t even love those with whom they disagree. And you wonder why God is angry with us!

I am the same way with my family. Because they can’t love one another and claim to be good, pains me. I am angry inside, not for me, but for them. I want that they not perish, but Jesus said that those who do not love will perish. My desire is that my family love one another, not only to please me, but to please God.
I have worked on the relationship between two family members in excess of twenty-five years and have prayed for unity between the two. It seems that I have failed because people seem to thrive on hatred. Anyone that upsets their selfish little world, in their eyes, deserve hatred and persecution. One relative is willing, but the other is an angry man! According to him, he will die despising his close relative. The sad thing, that on his death bed, he will lie there with sheets of hatred and unable in his weakness to remove it. Hatred has gravity; Satan pushes down for the world to have hatred so intense that a person would rather face an angry God than relent of his hatred. Jesus - the Judge - will say, “I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity” (Mat 7:23).
That’s what I never want my loved one to hear! I hurt inside because those who I love cannot love one another. I have some people who have hated me for years, but say that the practice Christianity. They do not; they practice murder. Their hatred kills my soul. I, as you are as well, was made in the image of God. He only wants to be loved, and so do most people. Those who do not want to love or be loved are in danger of Hell-fire. Anger is the way sinners rationalize and manifest hatred.
I think of an instance in the Bible: David loved King Saul intensely because Saul was anointed by God to be His king. Saul had no reason to fear nor hate David as David had rejected the throne of Saul, and loved him as a father. Saul rationalized his vengeance against David, and tried to kill him often. David, on the other hand, had plenty of opportunities to kill Saul but did not! Saul was David’s enemy who wronged him often and severely. All the while, David remained faithful and loving to the king, and became angry at the one who killed Saul. David, like the Son of David (Jesus), loved without qualification. David had a right to hate Saul but continued in his love. He forgave Saul “seventy times seven” metaphorically as he never ceased to love Saul.
That’s what Jesus wants with us. He doesn’t want false forgiveness where people say, “I will forgive but never forget!” David forgave and put it behind him, as Jesus did to the angry mob who crucified him. What if Jesus claimed to forgive, but always held it against us? That would not be love! How can Christians claim to forget yet maintain their case against another? I would not be able to sleep with my conscious in chaos!
One of my haters has hated me for a quarter century, yet I don’t hate him, and if he would forget whatever I wronged him with, I would be ready to be great friends. That’s the same with anyone who is angry with me. I don’t care whether I am right or wrong… I am ready to humble myself and continue in love. Before we play-act as Christians, we are to reconcile not only with those who we have wronged, but with those who have wronged us (Mat 5:24).
Jesus was in agony and sweated blood (Luke 22:44). He wasn’t in agony over his impending death, but because of the angry mob whose thirst for vengeance had to be satisfied. Jesus credited the greater sin to the angry mob than he did to his executioners (John 19:11). Their anger and hatred were the murderers of Jesus. That’s why he equivocated hatred with murder. Anger, again, is an expression of hatred, and is merely because self-centered little worlds of people have been upset.
Rational people do not rationalize. They admit that sometimes they may be wrong, and understand that others may do wrong to them as well. They should not want anger from others nor be angry with others. Anger is self-imprisonment. Angry people have chains on them, and claim not to mind the chains, but all the while only want to be loved and are upset because they are not treated up to their own expectations.
Just as Jesus was in agony because his “children” hated him and others who he loved, I agonize over those I love who seem incapable of genuine love for me or their friends of relatives. I awakened at 2:00 am in agony for those I love; not for my sake, but for their sake. Whose will do angry people do? They have the false perception that they are independently exercising their privilege to love or not, but actually are chained to the will of Satan. Naïve people do the Devil’s will, thinking it is their own. He laughs at them because it undermines God.
As a Christian and disciple of Christ, when I am angry and unforgiving, I hate my true self. Anger with myself has humbled me. I still feel badly about those whom I have wronged. I am angry with myself at this moment for not being a full-time father when my children were in their informative years. I have sorrow because I either did not operationalize love or failed to teach my children God’s Will appropriately. I delivered my children into the hands of teachers and preachers, but did not love them so much that I wanted them not to perish. I thought that I brought my children up in the way of the Lord with the hope that they would return to it, but I failed. I agonize about me and over them, as I do my brothers and sister who I loved, but not so intensely that I epitomized God to them.
Jesus could not stand the thought of dying and leaving behind those who were angered by him. Likewise, I dread giving up the ghost knowing that some hate me, and some hate each other. Why is that? Because I love them so that I wish that I could sweat or cry blood on their behalf. The closest that I have come is with intense desperation that I can’t “fix” other people, as I can’t fix myself. Only God can fix others or me. I need fixing and so does everyone else, but foolish people don’t want to be fixed!
Let’s say that terminal cancer has revealed itself this morning, and you have only until the evening to get your life fixed in preparation for death. What would you do with those few hours? Some would eat heartily or watch their favorite movie. I would desire to leave the world and leave my anger and hatred behind. A rational person would make amends not only to those who they have wronged, but even those with whom they are angry. Why wait until death to do what is right? You may not have the soft heart to do that later because YOU interfere with God’s Will.
I told one whom I love that after I am deceased, I will leave a message for my family. This commentary will likely not be read in my lifetime by my loved ones, but possibly will when they really want to know who I was. My hope that after I’m gone, my family and close friends will love me as they will, at that time, know my heart, and that they will love one another; if for nothing else, in reverence to me.
I know how God feels about me, because I know how I feel about those whom I love. Reverence for us parents are our children loving one another and reverence for God is His children loving one another. That’s how parents are shown love and is certainly how God’s children show Him love.
Us humans are tough to love but God did it anyway. We are to do the same if we revere God.

LOVE - THE HARDEST FRUIT TO PICK

KEY VERSES: Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee (Exod 20:12), A son honors his father, and a servant his master. If then I am a father, where is my honor? (Mal 1:6a), and A wise son hears his father's instruction, but a scoffer does not listen to rebuke (Prov 13:1)

Children are commanded to honor their parents. Satan knows that as well, and attempts to sow discord in families. The Ten Commandments are the Ten Prescriptions for eternal life. The promise given in the Fifth “Prescription” is a long life, not only in this world, but for eternity. Why is honoring parents so important to God that He would command it? The Lord drew an analogy: As a son honors his father… and he is the Father, where is His honor? The implication is that those who do not honor their father do not honor their Father in Heaven.
Has anyone noticed the trend? Righteous people love their parents, and those who love their parents are usually the godliest, or it should be that way even if it’s not.
I watch the reality show Survivor quite often. At some point in the season, they bring loved ones from home as a reward to the game players. It always touches my heart that after only a few short weeks, the players shed tears of love when their loved ones appear. When sons say, “Dad, I love you,” and fathers say, “Son, I love you too,” it makes me shed tears as well. I envy their mutual love. Most often, the father/son or mother/daughter, etc. are not even Christians, but they still have a loving relationship. They may not love their Heavenly Father, but they love their biological father.
One Sunday in my church the preacher, his only son, and the preacher’s father sang as a trio. The three praised their Heavenly Father in song… together in one accord. I was envious! Their harmony in song demonstrated their harmonious relationship. That’s what God wants!
In typology, the father/son and mother/daughter relationships (also father/daughter and mother/son) are representative of the mankind/Father relationship. Just as fathers and mothers create their children, God created His! Love of parents should demonstrate love for God. What’s more is that there is a reward for loving parents just as there is a reward for loving God!
Note that the Fifth Prescription for good spiritual health is brief: honor your father and mother. Who are your father and mother? Are they only biological parents or is there some other relationship?
If scripture is examined closely, Mark 3:34-35 says, “And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.” Jesus himself made all relationships a triangulation. To truly love one another, as we are commanded, requires that we love the Lord. That’s why the Greatest Commandment – to love God – has a corollary – to love others as ourselves.
Mothers are to be loved for bearing us. I cry when I think of the labor pains and stress which my own mother endured in delivering seven babies and nourishing six boys and one girl. Mom did without so that we could have! I honor my mother, and shed tears that I did not love her as much as she deserved!
I think of my Dad who hoed corn for one-dollar a day to support his large family. I think of my Dad lovingly because he had to live in isolation in distant cities to have a job which paid enough. I think of my Dad who walked three miles, often in the snow, to catch a ride to work to support his children. I love my Dad for how he demonstrated his love. He was not a hugger or emotional, but he loved all his children, and showed it by self-sacrifice. I wish that I could bring Dad back for one more chance to hug and say to him, “I love you so much for your sacrifice on my behalf.”
That’s my love for my parents. They sacrificed a major part of their lives so that I could have a better life. I am not the only one. Most of your parents did the same. You may not understand the sacrifices that young parents who were no more than children themselves made. Parenting is hard work! I remember saving my change while in college, and then giving it to my wife to use as emergency money for food when I was in another state for my education. I wasn’t motivated to be educated, but continued because I wanted to provide for my family. It was a privilege of which I am still proud that I went for eight days without even a slice of bread because there was no money. I remained in college for my family. I loved my Dad so much that I would not borrow from him or worry him about my hardships. That’s how much I loved my family and Dad.
This commentary is not about me, though. It’s about how much Father God loves us. John 3:16 says it all: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” God sacrificed for his unruly children just as we do ours. God loves us even when we sin, and godly parents love their children even when they are do wrong.
One of my boys has caused me more grief than another. That does not alienate me from loving him just as much as the other two children. Love is not measured by performance to standards but caring about the son or daughter. Right now, if a life needs to be given, I would give my life for my father, mother, or any one of my children! God gave His own life and sacrificed His own flesh because He loved me so!
That is personal; He did it for me, and had me in mind when He did it! God did not make the sacrifice because I am a good son; He made it just because He wants that I not perish. That’s how much I love my two sons, my daughters, my wife, and my grandchildren! Why is that? Because my heavenly Father loves me that way! You see, there is a link between loving others and loving God, and especially the parent/children-type of love which the Greeks called “storge.”
Storge is to the family, as agape is to God. Storge is a type of agape love, as is philio for brotherly love. God prescribed love for our enemies, but most people don’t even love God or those easy to love – those who love them so much.
I think now of my deceased parents. I only began to show my love at about age forty. I missed out on loving my parents between the ages of about twelve and forty; I lost twenty-eight years of demonstrating my love for them because life was all about me! I wish I could rewind to show my love for them. That’s the same for God… I went about twenty-eight years knowing God, but demonstrating almost no love at all. I would gamble that my parents wept for me, and the Bible says that about my relationship with the Lord, simply, “Jesus wept” (John 11:35), but what’s more, Peter wept bitterly because he denied Jesus, his spiritual Father as he is God (Mat 26:45). That was his humility showing when he recognized his pride.
Note that in honoring our father and mother there are no stipulations. They need not be perfect fathers and mothers as we are not perfect sons and daughters. They are allowed mistakes as all have sinned. “Let those without sin cast the first stone,” Jesus implored.
Good fathers must give wise advice. As such, they cannot tell children merely what they want to hear, but the truth. The truth often hurts. Dad seldom used corporal punishment; his words were enough, and I heard them when I needed it: “I’m disappointed in you, son.” That killed me… to have my Dad disappointed at my behavior, but he was most often right. Only someone who loves that much will correct that way. I prefer to think of myself as wise. The last key verse is, “A wise son hears his father's instruction, but a scoffer does not listen to rebuke.” Why would a good father give instruction that may be scoffed at? Because truth sets free from self-thoughts.
We all like to think that we are always right. It kills me, metaphorically, when I am wrong, and I hate to admit that! We all hate to be wrong; that is human nature, and is prideful. Sometimes chastisement alienates people. Some quit coming to church when the preacher preaches on a sin that they own. That is childish. People just want to do what they want to do and think what they want to think, true or not!
Children of God are to have His characteristics. Scripture calls them “the twelve fruits of the spirit,” and they are: “Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. (Gal 5:22-23). The Vulgate lists the other three. Of all those love, patience, kindness, and self-control are the most difficult. The eleven fruits which follow the fruit of “love” all are how to love others! Godly men exhibit those fruits.
The works of the flesh are many more than twelve: “Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like” (Gal 5:19-21). Wrath and strife are manifested in stress. Those sins cause anxiety in oneself, and really do not punish the adversary, but are self-inflicted “wounds.” “First-blood” comes from the ones who are angered, and the “blood” flows in themselves. The heart manifests that. (I’m still stressed for allowing an atheist man two weeks ago to arouse my anger. Reconciliation is my only recourse!)
We are all fellow beings who should just be grateful that we have one another. In my old age, family is all that I have, and family is of utmost importance second only to my relationship with God. I am stressful when there is discord among those who I love. That’s because I love them all so much that I want unity. “Family is forever,” the sign says, and that it is, and must be. Strangers and friends come and go, but family remains family.
My prayer for everyone is that the family institution and mutual love be like I was blessed enough to experience. I cannot remember one time with any of my six brothers or sister, having a feud, or even becoming angry with them.  I just cannot understand why others prefer to feud when it is so much simpler just to love one another. Do you suppose that God wants that too?

SAVED AS OPPOSED TO SAFE

KEY VERSES: He who is of a proud heart stirs up strife, but he who trusts in the Lord will be prospered. (Prov 28:25), and Whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe. (Prov 29:25b)

Those two verses clear up the Jewish dilemma! They thought prosperity was the Promise Land and an Epicurean life-style in that Canaan was a land of milk and honey: “Therefore hear, O Israel, and be careful to observe it, that it may be well with you, and that you may multiply greatly as the Lord God of your fathers has promised you—‘a land flowing with milk and honey’” (Deut 6:30). That was one item of the Abrahamic Covenant. The Hebrews thought that God was delivering them to Utopia – an imaginary place made real – “a place of ideal perfection especially in laws, government, and social conditions” (Merriam-Webster Dict.).
They soon found out that that was not the case: “Moreover you have not brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey, nor given us inheritance of fields and vineyards” (Num 16:14). They misunderstand the “when” but only knew the “where.”
Moses was accused of lying, and as such, so was God! Did they ever consider that they were just mistaken in their perception? Was God giving them a good land, or was it something else? Were they to materially prosper, or did God mean something that only Moses knew?
Those who misunderstood “prosperity” had it reinforced many times, but they still did not understand! “We took their land and gave it as an inheritance to the Reubenites, to the Gadites, and to half the tribe of Manasseh. Therefore, keep the words of this covenant, and do them, that you may prosper in all that you do” (Deut 29:8-9).
Of course, they did inherit the land of milk and honey, but although it was a Paradise when it was a mere Garden, mankind contaminated the solace there and the paradise of the Promised Land has always been contentious and the center of war, not Peace!
Unknown to the Hebrews, they were returning to Paradise – back to the Garden. When Enoch was translated to the Third Heaven, what did he see? “And two springs come out which send forth honey and milk, and their springs send forth oil and wine, and they separate into four parts, and go round with quiet course, and go down into the PARADISE OF EDEN, between corruptibility and in corruptibility” (Secrets of Enoch 8:6). Not only did Enoch see the Garden Paradise, but he saw it in Heaven! Perhaps, just as Jesus ascended when his purpose was finished, that the Garden Paradise translated into Heaven when it became vacant.
What were the Hebrews to find? The foundation of the Garden was all that remained. The Garden was a place of Peace – the abode of God – and Jerusalem means “foundation of peace.” Validation is that “Jordan River” in Hebrew is “Nahar ha-Yarden” – the River of the Garden!

The Hebrews thought “prosperity” was in Canaan. Abraham and Moses knew that prosperity was in Heaven. The promise is that twelve-thousand of each of the twelve tribes of Israel will inherit the earth (Rev 21:12; Rev 14:1).
Who will prosper? “He who trusts in the Lord will be prospered.” Trusting in the Lord rather than oneself. Jesus said that a little differently: “The meek shall inherit the earth” (Mat 5:5). Jews would believe that to be Israel. “Earth” as translated from the Hebrew also means “soil.” The meek are those who trust the Lord for safety and preservation. It would seem to them that would be the “soil” of Canaan, which they indeed came to own. However, a translation of those who trust the Lord, as with Enoch and Jesus, will occur. Whereas Enoch and Jesus were translated into the heavens (with no soil), the City of God will be translated from the Paradise in the Third Heaven back to its foundation IN Earth, and renamed “New Jerusalem” (Rev 21).
“Prosperity” then, will not be the soil or land of Canaan, but a return to Paradise when Heaven returns to its foundation.
Of course, direction has no utility since the Earth is spherical. I believe that Paradise and Israel co-exist at the present – one seen and the other unseen! Jesus, at the end of the day, told the repentant thief on his cross, ““Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise” (Like 23:43). No time was taken to travel to Heaven. They were there already; it just could not be seen!
We also know that Jesus went two places when his death was finished: (1) His body to the tomb (in earth), and (2) his Holy Ghost to Hell (in heaven (invisible realm) – not THE Heaven – wherein Jesus delivered all the sins of mankind.
Jesus’s flesh went nowhere, and it seems that his Ghost merely existed in the unseen realm. From the story or Lazarus and the rich man, Hell and Heaven (Abraham’s Bosom) exist at the same place, of course separated by a great gulf (Luke 16:26). Not only is there a barrier between Hell and Heaven, but perhaps a “great gulf” between the Earth and Heaven that can only be crossed with death.
No one, it seems, will “go to Hell” but upon death will immediately exist in Hell. Not that Hell is on Earth, but it co-exists in another realm co-existing with matter. Jews believe the invisible realm of Hell is in the center of the Earth and its “door” is the Foundation Stone beneath the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem. That makes sense, since it is the threshing floor of Ornan where the chaff (the unrepentant) was winnowed into the abyss beneath the threshing stone.
Now back to the key verses: Trusting the Lord gains prosperity, but trusting the Lord brings safety. The Arminian viewpoint is that those who are born-again live in safety because they trust the Lord. That is validated by the key verses. Safety is a protective “hedge” (Job 1) with which God surrounds the faithful. The Wall of Old Jerusalem was safety for the Hebrews. God was there in His Temple. On the other hand, God is with us wherever we may travel as Christians are His Temple. He is our safety until those who trust Him are saved from the Devil and the Air of the World, as Satan is Prince of the Power of the Air (Ephes 2:2).
There is a huge difference between “safe” and “saved.” The former is present tense and the latter past tense. Those who trust Jesus are presently safe, and will be saved if they endure (trust) to the end (Mat 10:22). The reward is in Heaven where there is truly milk and honey, not in Israel where there is only strife. The average Hebrew did not understand that, and most still do not!
The Hebrews were safe in the Kingdom of David as long as they trusted in the Lord. Firstly, the northern kingdom, although kept safe, finally perished because they failed to endure in trusting the Lord. The southern kingdom endured a little longer, but in the end, they too perished. By grace, God will keep His promise of the Abrahamic Covenant. When the end comes, and Satan aloof, God will translate 144,000 in earth into heaven. That’s not “Earth” and “Heaven” but from the visible to the invisible.
I believe there is hidden meaning to the Lord’s Prayer for us: “Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven” (Mat 6:10; NKJV). But the KJV makes it significantly different: “Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” (The NKJV has it as the world, whereas the KJV as a substance.) Elsewhere in many places, the King James Version uses the phrase, “in earth” not “on earth.” That implies that both heaven and earth are not places, but one an invisible realm and the other visible. For instance, in present-day Jerusalem, God’s Will is that the Jews do as they will do in the heaven. They surely will have the same government as they are the same places, but are of different substances.
Jews are safe until the end in the land of actual milk and honey. They shall be saved when 144,000 will trust Jesus for prosperity. Prosperity is not the milk and honey of the Promised Land, but the spiritual milk and honey of the Promised Paradise! The Jews still look for prosperity in Canaan Land when prosperity only exists in Paradise in heaven, and later in earth when New Jerusalem comes down. Those meek Jews and Christians shall not inherit only the land of Israel, but the Garden Paradise in another realm.
The Garden of Eden remains in Israel; it just cannot be seen as only its foundation is visible. Abraham saw the Garden Paradise, and I see the heavenly Paradise! Prosperity is when the faithful shall see Paradise and the Tree of Life still standing on the River of God (Rev 22:2). Who has the “right to the Tree of Life in heaven?” “They that do His commandments” (Rev 22:14). The Ten are written on stone for perpetuity, but the Greatest Commandment is written in the hearts of those who trust the Lord. Hatred can be cut off with circumcision of the heart, but love endures forever in those who trust in Jesus until the end.
Why was Paradise referred to as "Abraham's Bosom" in the story of the rich man and Lazarus? Because Abraham understood prosperity. He realized that the Promised Land was the comfort of Paradise in Heaven, and not the Kingdom of David itself! Jews still fail to understand that Abraham found Paradise when he died, and that he is now in comfort there!

THE COLOSSAL LIE

KEY VERSES: … Where there is no talebearer, strife ceases. (Prov 26:20b). Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne will be established in righteousness. (Prov 25:5)

“Proverbs” are words of wisdom for people of all eras. The two proverbs above were written by King Solomon, and were recorded under King Hezekiah by his scribes. Obviously, King Hezekiah, a good king, had enemies as well. Lying lips are public enemy number one: “Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who deal truthfully are His delight… the heart of fools proclaims foolishness” (Prov 12:22,24).
Talebearers are those with lying lips. They cause strife in the hearts of people and usurp calm in the nation. Talebearers are divisive. “Divide and conquer,” is their manner, and it works. Lies, if repeated often enough, become truth. That is the “Big Lie” whose author was propaganda minister in the Third Reich, Joseph Goebbels, who wrote; “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.” Hitler called those lies “colossal” enough that, "no one could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously."
In other words, socialists invented the “Colossal Lie” for their own purposes. Lenin, in a letter to Marx wrote, “It is impossible to carry on communist propaganda on a large scale and at the same time engage in huckstering and industry.” They can’t lie and hustle you at the same time!
The purpose of Marxist propaganda has a goal: “Communism (is) the real movement which abolishes the present state of things” (Marx in German Ideology, 1845). Hitler listened. His goal was the ultimate “communism.” National Socialism sought to abolish the entire state of affairs in the world, and the final solution to merely being Jewish! Communism is a global initiative which endangers the entire world. The Third Reich was only “nationalistic” in the sense that the elite would rule the world.
Socialism depends on elitism. They are those who are above the law, and become the “law” unto themselves.”
Hitler’s “Colossal Lie” was that all German problems, indeed, all the problems of the world were caused by Jewish “sub-human parasites.” He said that often enough that in 1938 the Reichstag received a staggering 98.9% support! The German voter believed the Colossal Lie.
The architect of Obamacare, Jonathan Gruber, said that to pass Obamacare, “depended on the stupidity of the American voter.” In other words, Obama created a colossal lie, and the people believed it! What was the Big Lie of Obama? That, “If you like your doctor, you can keep him.” Of course, that was not the case, and there were numerous other Colossal Lies, including that the penalties for having Obamacare were not taxes.
Talebearers always tell colossal tales. They must be colossal to cause enough strife to take down a king, president, or any authority figure. The proverb, “Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne will be established in righteousness,” can also be written, Evil people disestablish a rightful ruler. In the case of Donald Trump, he is the legal constitutionally duly elected president. However, Hillary Clinton maintains that she was robbed of the presidency and that she won the election. That is Hillary’s “Colossal Lie” because her “constitution” is not that of the U.S. Constitution.
On the show not too long ago of Survivor, Russell Hance lost the contest of Survival, and hence the $1,000,000. Hance said that if such and such had been the rules, he would have won, and was reminded by Jeff Propst that those were his rules, not Survivor’s, and that he won only by Russell’s rules, not the game’s rules. Hance believed his own fantasy, and Hillary does as well! Worse yet, Democrats believe Hillary’s Colossal Lie to the extent that from the onset, impeachment was planned for Donald Trump.
Of course, to overthrow the President, they accused him doing what they do! Goebbels, during the Third Reich, portrayed Jews as evil characters out to destroy the world, despite the fact that the National Socialists were the evil ones.
President Trump is the accused in like manner, but the Democrats are the ones who are doing the evil things: The colossal lie of the Russian Hoax which failed, then the Big Lie of the accused “Coverup,” then the absurd lie of quid pro quo with the Ukrainians. Like the evil National Socialists, it was in fact the socialist Democrats that did the evil-doings.
What is so astounding is that polls show that the “stupid American voters” on whom the left depends, believe the lies! They accept at face value, without proof, inventions of tall-tales of wicked Democrats of the ilk of Adam Schiff and Gerald Nadler - the “Goebbel” and “Himmler” of the evil talebearers! Socialism always have their propaganda ministers and “justice” administrators.” Of course, “justice” is not blind in socialist eyes!
What are the Democrats endeavoring to do? Remember what Marx said, “Communism (is) the real movement which abolishes the present state of things.” Socialism, when they turn to treason, become communists. The Democrat Party seeks to destroy the present state of the Union. From what “state” to what “new state?” From a Democrat-Republic to a Global Communist Soviet! Ironically, they are after a thousand-year reich just as Hitler was.
Another Big Lie is that socialism is good and capitalism is evil. However, history has repeatedly demonstrated the horrors of socialism, and the successes of capitalism. The prosperity of the American voter is due to capitalism, but “stupid American voters” are like the naïve dog that bites his own master even as he eats good things!
There is a meme on Facebook which says, as Trump speaks, “It’s not me they are after; it’s you… I’m just in the way.” There may be another “Trump” out to drain the stinking swamp of the Deep State; perhaps V.P. Pence. They will continue to bear tales of any conservative leader, because it is the conservative establishment that they are after!
Keep remembering “the new state of things.” For there to be a new state, the establishment must be destroyed. Marx had the courage to point out the enemies of the socialist state in the Communist Manifesto: Religion (Christianity), the family, land owners, industry leaders, the educational institutions, and even motivation of willing workers! By their own admission, Marx wrote, that they are against technology, and progress! Therein, is another “Big Lie;” that Democrats are progressives! They desire to regress to the feudal society which they condemn.
The trade-off for free things they promise, is freedom, then they fail with their promises. Remember the Soviet Republic and its austerity? That’s how socialists live. Examine Venezuela; that how people live who don’t want to be socialists. The outcome of socialism is chaos, and chaos pays little!
Israel (Samaria) was always out to destroy their king – even the good ones! Evil people often plotted to “impeach” their king by whatever method was available. Like modern socialists who “never let a crisis go to waste” (Rahm Immanuel), those who would be king in Israel created crises when there was none, and that’s what Democrat socialists are doing with impeachment proceedings.
Of course, now the western world is “civilized;” presidents are no longer murdered (or are they?); their spirits are murdered with tall-tales and slander in which they remain guilty until proven innocent. Very totalitarian of those Democrats, aye? Impeachment is how modern presidents are “murdered.” The felons know their craft well, and use it to destroy the righteous (the president who has done things legally.)
It would have been sad to live in Israel in 700 B.C. when they ceased to exist! That’s where our Republic is headed. Benjamin Franklin said that, “We have a republic, if we can keep it.” That’s why the swamp is being drained by the President – to keep our Republic, but “Democracy” stands in the way.
Democracy is the will of the people, but Democrats believe that the people are stupid and they use that as a tactic (they said and believe that!) The people want impeachment, and if the wicked congressmen can’t do it, the mob will.
Communism is the mob. They kill dissenters and quiet dissent. One of my atheist neighbors asked, “What’s wrong with communism?” What’s wrong is that communism kills people! That’s how socialists retain power after “stupid voters” wise-up!
The mob is in waiting. We already see the “Nazi brownshirts” this time wearing Fascist black, and calling themselves “Anti-Fascists,” knowing full-well that is a tactic of Fascism. The “stupid voters” believe the Greatest Lie – that it is okay to hate haters to eliminate hatred, according to Popper’s Paradox” of so-called “Tolerance.”
Why do people still believe colossal lies? For one thing, lies are easier to believe than truth because of our sinful nature. The other reason that we know from Genesis 3 is that liars promise good things and self-aggrandizement. It’s not, as Marx said, "From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs,” but From each without regard to ownership; to those who desire it. It’s the same old Colossal Lie that the Serpent used with Eve!

SUFFER THE LITTLE CHILDREN

As a follow-up from my last commentary, the “daughters of Zion” and the “sons of God” seem to be the feminine and masculine gender phrases for the same people. Some of each were haughty and some righteous.
  Now for today’s commentary:

KEY VERSES: Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. (Mat 18:3). Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. (John 13:33a-34)

Note the parallel between, “except ye be converted, and become as little children,” and “marvel not; ye must be born again” (John 3:7). “Born again” is conversion. “Born again” is a reversion from the old creature back to the child-like creature in which Adam (man) was created. Regeneration is a return to mankind’s original state, which by the way, was “very good.” Not perfect because of free will, but “very good” (Gen 1:31).
Adam and Eve were adults, but in their innocence, they were very good. The two of them… what did they do? Of course, they loved God, but in marriage, they loved one another. Jesus gave to the little children, not truly a new commandment, but a little used one. Since original sin, God’s children can’t seem to love one another!
Little children are prone to sin. Since original sin, all but one was “shapened in iniquity” in the womb (Psalm 51:5). Since Jesus was not a product of sexual intercourse, he was not born in sin.  For all others, none are without sin (Rom 3:23).
Children are prone to sin. It is instinctive. When babies cry for the breast, their sole care is for themselves for nourishment and safety. It is innocence, though, because their personalities and attitudes are in formation. “They know not what they do,” as Jesus would say, and are forgiven of their attitudes!
Eve was innocent in her sin, because she was as a little child. God had told her nothing about sin, but only Adam. Adam was held accountable for sin because he knew the rule, and the punishment. However, as a little child he failed to understand what punishment is; he could not comprehend death because death was unknown in the Garden of Eden. He looked for a change in Eve, saw none, and was satisfied that God must be wrong! His knowledge-base was limited; he even thought that he could cover their own sins (with fig leaves, no less; Gen 3:7).
However, when Adam found the work of his own hands insufficient, God provided a coat for the two (Gen 3:21). It covered all their skin, not just their genitalia.  For the first time ever, Adam and Eve were no longer as little children; they saw death first hand. They were no longer without excuse! Both Adam and Eve accepted God’s grace because they revered their Maker. They loved still him despite the consequences, as little children are wont to do!
The relationship between the children of God was triangular. They loved one another and they loved God, not only because God had created them, but gave them a second chance. Little children can often ignore the punishment and still love the parents afterward. Adam and Eve never ceased loving their Father!
Because of grace, Adam and Eve are indubitably in a new Paradise this day. They took their punishment, learned from their mistake, and a conversion took place. Adam and Eve, thanks to God, were remade in His image. He originally generated them, and after their conversion, God regenerated them. Their “new” commandment was to love one another. The old commandment was to obey me or you will die. (Gen 2:17).
“Very good” meant that Adam and Eve were to love the creatures, the Creator, and each other. They failed to understand love. They did, however, understand lust. They confused love and lust, and knew nothing of death! Mankind are still little children; love is not an emotion, and few have little understanding of death!
What is love? It is hard work to be long-suffering for God and others. It is the work of kindness, and patience. In other words, love is the twelve fruits of the Tree of Life (Rev 22:2), and they must be picked off the right tree! The work of love is not forced labor; the Tree stands there with its low-hanging fruit, but the child must reach for it of his own accord, and eat of that fruit. The Lord provides, but His children must be willing to eat of it.
Conversion is understanding that the fruits were not provided by themselves or others, but by God. Rebirth (born again) is coming to understand that without God there is no fruit and no mercy. That without God Paradise in Heaven is unobtainable, as well as eternal life.
Adam and Eve suffered humility and were meek because as little children, the Father knew their sin and they were ashamed. God humbled them, and their nakedness was revealed to them. Their flesh, once very good, became disgusting to them (Gen 3:7).
Many of you may remember when you were caught stealing the first time. You knew that you were guilty and were ashamed when confronted by others. Your ceased to have esteem for yourself, and were ashamed.
Adult sinners are not so quickly humbled, but use their knowledge and reason to lessen the guilt: Everyone steals; everyone lusts; everyone sins; I did little wrong! That is rationalization. Children have not learned that because of their short lives. Adam and Eve rationalized with blame, and short of logic, were quickly shut down by God.
Little children know that their arguments are insufficient, and may not like it, but submit to the wisdom of their fathers.
“Don’t get burned,” we all have been told when near the stove. Children have never been burned, so they cautiously get near the heat. They learn why not when they get too close to the heat and remove their finger. Children are smart. Adults would have to actually touched the burner to learn their lesson. “Fire” in this case is sin. Children heed the warning and adults don’t!
“As the little children” is not a New Testament teaching. Israel, in the time of kings, were the “little children.” The people in Israel were the haughty daughters of Zion. They knew the Law of God, but because they failed to comprehend God’s fury, they continued to stick their fingers in the good things they thought came from other gods. Baal and Mot seem to provide good things. Those gods were like child molesters; “I will give you candy if you come with me!”
Think on that… Satan, tucked away in the skin of a playful snake, was a child molester. He deceived the son of God and the daughter of Zion into leaving their Father for some candy from God’s Tree.

It wasn’t even his “candy” to give, but belonged to God for safe-keeping. Satan remains to this day, a child-of-God molester. He is always hiding in unseen places and offering goodies for those who would follow him!
Adam and Eve were taught the cunningness of Satan. Sacred literature reveals that Satan continued his child-molestation, but time and time again, their Father found him out and rescued them. That’s what God does with His little children to this day, and what he did for Israel time after time!

Adam, as a child, did not listen to his Father, but his little playmate Eve (Gen 3:17). He learned who had wisdom, and began to listen to His Father. His nature is said to have returned to childlike, wherein he listened to his Father.
From the key verses, becoming as little children follows conversion. When I was a child, I sought to become “good” before I came to God. That was laughable, but children do silly things because they do not know.
Conversion is a humbled child of God whose new nature is desiring to do God’s Will. Israel, under the kings, never got to that point, although like some little children, they ran away from home – from the House of God. Ironically, the children do what pubescent children often do; they ran off to Ashtoreth’s “whore house.” God wanted them back!

Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear. But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken. (Isa 28:9-13)

Isaiah’s words from God were about childish Israel. He knew their childishness and offered reprieve. Little children who know right from wrong, although they may not understand punishment, would follow their Father’s Will just because He has always kept them safe! Israel had been bailed out many times, but they were haughty and rebellious “daughters of Zion.” They failed to learn from their experience with fire, even as would little children. God brought that to their attention!
“Doctrine” was hard to understand for the Israelites because they still sucked the paps and drank the milk, but failed to understand the source of the nourishment and Who provided it! Like rebellious children, they were given rules – God’s precepts.  Good children are not given rules because they love and respect their fathers. There is no need for rules, except for one: Love!
My own father had few rules with his younger children because we didn’t need them. We were responsible and worked although we were not expected to work. Because we honored Dad’s will and loved him, he had few hard rules for us to follow. As for myself, I did Dad’s will because I loved him so much, and respected him as my father. Of course, sometimes I did Dad wrong and was ashamed. Dad’s punishment was his disappointment in me. That’s the same as with our Father in Heaven.
Dad made us cut our own tree switch. In effect, us children discipled ourselves. Oftentimes, although the switch was cut and in hand, there was no punishment because we were humbled without it! God works that way too, and I am glad that I had a godly father.
The rebellious daughters of Zion (the Israelites) knew all the rules (precepts) and followed the line, but they were rebellious because of the strict rules. It was easier to follow Baal and Mot than Yahweh. Their path was broad and easy, whereas Yahweh’s Way was straight and narrow!
As rebellious children, the Israelites failed to understand that the precepts were not the line to be walked. The Law made them err because foolish children don’t understand the rules, but always see how far they can go to test the punishment!
Jesus didn’t want the Jews to be as the haughty daughters of Zion, but as humble meek mindful children who behave because they love.
All those endless precepts, 613 in all, destroyed Israel. How could they ever love God if they were always seeking ways to circumvent the precepts? They failed to understand that those precepts were not to prevent them from doing wrong things, but prescriptions for right living for eternal health.

Good children take their “medicine” without question. Bad children often spit it out or throw tantrums. As for Israel, they did what they wanted to do. They ignored God’s will and became evil adults. God destroyed them and they were scattered and kept in bondage to nations with other gods.

Judah, on the other hand, was a type of good child. They loved God, but often transgressed as children will do. However, they never entirely left God, but flirted with other gods. Patient and merciful Yahweh took them back and kept them safe until they too became haughty daughters of Zion. They too were destroyed and dispersed as self-emancipated children often are. By God’s grace, he regenerated Judah. Both nations were children, but thought they knew it all. Conversion would have made them like good dutiful children again, and with their knowledge, that they would not be punished.
As Eve didn’t seem to die, Adam ate too. Haughty daughters of Zion still don’t understand death! They don’t believe in Hell, nor do they believe a good God would send them there. Immature thinkers don’t seem to understand, that like David who judged himself, sinners determine their own fate. Israel knew that they might perish, but failed to understand that God would allow that to happen.

Good children know that their fathers are true to their word. When their daddies say something, they mean it. Jesus wants haughty daughters of Zion converted to righteous daughters of God! Rebirth changes the attitudes of rebellious children to loving children. If there is no change in attitude, the children remain in rebellion. Being as the little children are not those in rebellion, but those who submit to their father’s will merely because they love their father!
Remember… that God’s first child acted as if he was God. After God covered his sins, he went back to the submissive innocent child he was at the creation. That is regeneration.

DAUGHTERS OF ZION

“Daughters” is used to refer to the citizens of various cities and states. For instance, “daughters of Moab” (Isa 16:2), “daughters of Israel” (2 Sam 1:24), “daughters of Judah” (Psalm 48:11), “daughters of Rabbah” (Jer 49:3), and so forth. Those are just some of the passages wherein the feminine noun is used for the people of those places. As such, “daughters” are the people who inherit the land of their fathers. For instance, “daughters of Israel” would mean the descendants of Jacob who the Lord called “Israel.”
“Daughters of Judah,” would be those who descended from Jacob’s son, Judah, including the Benjamites who were “adopted” as equals to Judah. Who then are “daughters of Zion?” All the other “daughters” were daughters of certain peoples. Most of those nations were named after some patriarch. Who is the “patriarch” named “Zion?”  Perhaps, first, the place “Zion” should be identified.

When the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria… For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness… Therefore, thus saith the Lord God of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian… he shall shake his hand against the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem. (Isa 10:12, 22, 24, 32)

From those verses, “Zion” is a specific mountain or hill within the city of Jerusalem. “The daughter of Zion” are the chief “daughter” of the people of Mount Zion within Jerusalem, and Israel. Jesus as the Son of God is the seed of Zion, referred to as “daughter of Zion.”
It must be remembered from the Abrahamic Covenant that the promise of a Messiah would be from the seed of Israel. (Gen 12:1-3).  The word, “Messiah” is not used specifically, but that the Israelites would be “blessed” or live in bliss. That means the Paradise of Heaven, and the Way to obtain bliss is through the Christ.
Jesus was called “the son of David.” He was to be born of the House of David. That at one time included Israel, inclusive of Judah. The man Jesus was a “daughter” of Judah, Israel, and Mount Zion, or the Temple Mount. That’s where Solomon’s Temple was built on Ornan’s Threshing Floor. That’s where God was resident on Earth when His Cloud filled the Temple. It would seem that “daughters of Zion” are God’s “chosen people” (the Hebrews) and His “peculiar people,” the Christians.
However, we find out that some of the “daughters of Jerusalem” were proud and sinful, rather than righteous:

Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet: Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the Lord will discover their secret parts. (Isa 3:16-17)

Mount Zion is a specific place marked by the Foundation Stone, or the Axis Mundi, believed to be the celestial axis. On that stone is believed to be the place Adam was created by God. Adam and Eve were citizens of the Garden of Eden and may have been created on Mount Zion.
Adam means “man” in reference to mankind. Thus, “daughters of Zion” are all mankind, or citizens of the World. Jesus was the only Righteous “Daughter.”
The threshing floor was on Mount Zion. God threshes and winnows out His seed from Satan’s seed – the chaff – at that place. His “daughters” were winnowed from the “daughters of mankind” whose father is the Devil (John 8:44). Although the etymology of “Zion” is unknown, it was known earlier as a Jebusite fortress, but it has always been known as “Beth-Shalem”, or the “House of Peace.” Jesus came to bring Peace on Earth: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men” (Luke 2:14). Therefore, Zion is not the mount of Jebus, but the Mount of Peace. Daughters of Zion” are children of God. Some are sinful and others righteous. It is for God to winnow them out at the Place of Peace. “Daughters of Zion” seem to be the “whosoever” in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
The “daughters of Zion” are of two types: haughty and the meek. The haughty daughters shall perish and the meek inherit the earth. (Psalm 37:11 & Mat 5:5). From what place on Earth will the haughty “daughters” be isolated and where meek “daughters” will reside forever? New Jerusalem – the new place of Peace (Rev 21) wherein Jesus is king and the righteous will be the meek “daughters.” Zion is the Mount in the City that will endure forever, and that great city was named after a Patriarch. It is the Mount of JHWH (Yahweh or Jehovah). His Son Jesus (“Yahweh saves”) is the Way to the City of the Father, and the citizens thereof will be the meek “daughters of Zion!”
