The reason governments fail is because Satan is the author of chaos. Those protests which we see which disrupt America and other places are of Satan. Protest is not God's way. That's why Christians seldom protest. The instrument of God for change is prayer. Things go awry because Christians don't care enough to pray. Many have the false sense of security because they are going to Heaven but fail to care about their offspring. America is destined to failure. We have been peculiar people but now weirdness has superseded peculiarity!
Judaism was special. Their government was ordained by God. It was theocratic with God as Supreme Judge, a Chief Judge, and several other lesser judges. The statutes were God's, and the rule was the Law of God. That form of government was instituted for the people but the Hebrews demanded a king so they could be as the pagans. God allowed them to err and gave them kings. Saul was the first king anointed by God knowing full-well that the kingdom, just as our republic, could not be kept! Isaiah chapter 3 recounts why! (You can read it in your Bible for it is lengthy).
- God took away bread and water (verse 1).
- God removed those who governed wisely (verses 2-3).
- God eliminated those with false ideas (verse 3).
- God allowed them unskilled rulers (verse 4).
- Everyone oppressed each other - hatred (divisiveness; verse 5).
- The youth to rebel and the elderly not held in honor (verse 5).
- True leaders will refuse to lead (verse 6-7).
- The people's speech and deeds are against God (verse 8).
- Openly display their shame (homosexuality; verse 9).
- Misleading of the righteous (verse 10).
- Wicked shall suffer the consequences of their actions (verse 11).
- The youth shall ruler over the wise (verse 12).
- Women shall rule over the men (feminism; verse 12).
- Guides will mislead you (government, media and educators; verse 12).
- Taking advantage of the poor (verse 15).
- Women to be provocative and self-centered (verse 16).
- God will inflict with disease (verse 17).
- Prosperity will be replaced by decay (verses 18-26).
Like it or not, societies kill themselves! Our republic may not stand if God is not our leader! Who would have thought that the mighty Kingdom of David would be no more? Who would have thought that mighty Rome would fall? How about the Soviet Union which was at one time the epitome of orthodoxy? Sin kills societies! Even the United States will someday fall, and sin will be the cause!
God cut a deal with Abraham and his seed. Basically, it was to obey and prosper or disobey and falter. Either way, grace was promised through Jesus Christ but worldly things were dependent on them. Israel and Judah faltered. The Northern Kingdom (Israel) was lost to posterity. Judah, the Southern Kingdom, was punished for seventy years, and has never been without warfare! They tested God's covenant and soon found out that indeed God is serious!
For those of us in the United States who believe that we are too big and too civilized to fail, I see us failing! The youth are taking to the streets and the adults are allowing them to lead. The feminists intimidate those who even mention their gender as if they are agendrous. Homosexuality is no longer disdained and even propagated. Women desire promiscuity so intently that they destroy their own offspring. The media, the progressives, and the educators mislead the people with impunity! We are being had, and yet we stand idly by and let them have us!
God will nullify his covenant and let us destroy ourselves as we wish. His divine protection will be removed and we will be on our own!
