Just to show you how the Democrats in Washington have expropriated a “License to Lie,” Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee (D-TX) is quoted as saying on the House floor, “A historical fact that President Bush pushed this nation into a war that had little to do with apprehending terrorists. We did not seek an impeachment of President Bush, because as an executive, he had his authority. President Obama has the authority,” speaking against the filing of a lawsuit against Obama.
She must be living in Reidville, the capitol of Obamaland, where reality is ephemeral or is having selective amnesia.
Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH), a strong critic of the war in Iraq, introduced a bill entitled ”Impeaching George W. Bush, President of the United States, of high crimes and misdemeanors” that was co-sponsored by ten Democrats including, you guessed it, Rep. Jackson-Lee!
She voiced her support for impeaching Pres. Bush in a committee meeting that can be viewed online (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKadaVzcpRE).
In that Judiciary Committee hearing she said “Whether or not we define it as high crimes and misdemeanors, which frankly I do believe we have a very firm basis of suggesting high crimes and misdemeanors because the impeachment inquiry made in this body – the Judiciary Committee – is what it is. It is a prosecutorial approach, it is the indictment, it is the question of determining whether we move forward… We should not be intimidated by the process or time.”
Democrats “should not be intimidated by the process or time,” but Republicans should in their investigations of Democrat partisan impropriety.
Rep. Jackson-Lee might be excused for misremembering the actions of others, but should remember and own her own.
Democrats disrespect the American People when they quote us rewritten history!!
